Porkchops and rice is my fav meal. It's what I have always asked for on my birthday. Mom would fancy up the rice like Pilaf, add some cream and buried the seared porkchops in them and baked them in the oven in a cast iron skillet. Best meal in the world!

I loved my mama's fried chicken, fried potatoes with vidalia onions in them, collard greens and white homemade bread. And then homemade cherry pie for dessert ! We were raised in Texas but loved the sweet vidalia onions...... Watching this video did bring back some memories ..... Always love watching me some Pauala Deen !!!! ❣️

Growing up in North Georgia we called those Lima beans. Butter beans were large white beans which I believe they market as large Lima beans. This is my momma cooking right here. With some cornbread, sliced tomato
I love the idea just pouring the half and half on the whole potatoes and letting it heat up before you mash I've never thought of that, but will be doing it next time 😃 and I agree a pork chop salt and pepper it's all it needs and they look delicious
