Thx for the Video, i Bought the Marinade injection ($10 ) & Grease ($8) from Canadian Tire in Canada & put into Upper Ball joint control Arm, good & easy Solution
Been dealing with this for a month myself and about to go on vacation. They gave us a loaner model x and guess what? It was 100 times worse than our Y. It squeaks doing anything but moving forward ajnd it sucks! .
Has the fixed held up? I had one replaced on the driver side at my expense. Now the passenger side is doing it. I am going to inject grease into the joint.
@@wille324 yes, I just reached in. It is very accessible. Then after I pushed down on the fender a few times and could hear the squeak going away. Took it for a drive and it went away after 5 miles.
Mine is still waiting on parts. Service was originally scheduled at the beginning of the month now it’s on the 29th 😩 please have the parts in already. This is embarrassing.
if you haven't figured it out yet the problem is the actual rusting steel ball end rubbing in the ball joint socket, jacking up so the suspension has moved it more than normal travel and partially moved that rust and is what has stoped the noise "temporarily, it will be back" spraying the outside is absolutely pointless and a total lack of knowing anything, if anything your indescriminate spraying of lubricant is likely to deposit some on the brakes which is going to be a deadly mistake (see if you can guess why) you should immediately stop trying to fix cars, hand any tools you have to someone else, no offence but your dumb to try fixing a car with zero knowledge, its actually scary thinking others are following your uneducated, dangerous instruction. if you or anyone reading thinks I'm wrong talking from the perspective of being a retired mechanic with decades of experience please don't take my word for it shows this post to your own qualified mechanic and watch him cringe.
LOL, spraying the lubricant with residual getting on the rotor will do nothing. It's not "Deadly", applying the brakes will burn it off. What are you looking at a cartoon? I agree the issue is in the boot. Your a former mechanic? If you get a lot on the brake you might get some problems, but that's what brake cleaner is for. Instead of being a douche maybe try and educate. It's a simple fix anyone can do. I was a mechanic.

Of all the videos about this problem. This one helped me the most. Thanks!
This just started happening yesterday and we are going on a trip this week so can’t get into service before that. Thanks for posting this option.
Thanks for the video. Tesla service centers in OKC and Tulsa are impossible to get help from.
Tesla should have a recall for this
It's free replacement under warranty
@@alanrobinson2229 just passed warranty😥
Upper control arm. Dealing with this issue as well
Thank you
I needed that getting started hopefully tomorrow
The problem is on the inside of the boot not the outside

Did that end up working? I just bought a grease gun to fix it.
@@wille324 yes so far for a week it has been fine. I just got some grease, syringes, and injected that way.
@@jasonfournier Ok thanks. Were you able to do it without lifting the car up on a jack?
