I watched it once as a teen, I had a crush on Emilio Estevez at the time. I watched the movie again after I turned 30. I would buy the movie if it is available at stores near me.
A majority of Leonard Part 6 was filmed in Piedmont Ca. Which is a very wealthy city tucked in the middle of Oakland. The city made a big deal out of Bill Cosby using Piedmont as a location for his movie. Rightfully so, because at the time(1987) the Cosby show was at its peak. Bill rented out two mansions a few blocks from my elementary school and they filmed for over 3 weeks. I remember one day a few kids and I walked over to the shoot, I was 10 at the time. The film crew allowed us to stand across the street and told us when Bill finishes shooting in the house he would sign autographs. Well, guess what? Bill came out of the house, sat on his director's chair, lit up a cigar and refused to even look our way. Funny to think that NOW I sleep in a nicer bed than him. Oh, how times have changed.

I liked the idea, something that someone should look at for a re-boot... Instead of re-booting good movies, why don't they re-boot the ones that fell just short and fix 'em?

The whole idea for Jaws 4 was stupid. Not only did the shark growl, it was supposedly seeking revenge on Brody's family. So they leave New York to get away from the shark. And where did they go? The Bahamas! Why not somewhere like Kansas or Colorado, or any place that's not on the ocean.
Grease 2 would've been alright as a stand alone movie, but when comparing it with the original, it was a bomb
The only good thing about Grease 2 was the soundtrack.

@@smoothst9303 They made the "nerds" in "Grease 2" way too stereotypical, like straight out of "Revenge of the nerds" (even though Grease 2 came out first). Such as a nerd asking new UK student Michael "How long have you been in America?", that shrill voice that stereotypical 80s movie nerds talk in. I sort of liked the Michael character and the song "Who's that guy?" while he's riding a motorcycle and no one else can see that it's him. But many others were just cardboard versions of the style of the songs in the original movie

If you’re going to put Howard on that list you might as well put TNMT, too, as it uses similar animatronic effects. Duck, boobs, and potential furry(feathery?) sex notwithstanding, it was a decent movie in the vein of Short Circuit with a good over the top and overpowering villain, depicted with Beatlejuice-esque visuals.

I like Howard the Duck for a different reason. Jordan Prentice who was one of several Howard stand ins is from my home town and one day back in early 90's stopped into my restaurant with some of his friends. Before I knew it he was regaling us with a detailed chronicle of his experience on the movie and how he hoped to pursue an acting career.
A decade after Howard the Duck, parts started coming his way.

"Maximum Overdrive" DOES NOT belong on this list!
First of all, it was written and directed by Stephen King--an 80's horror film LEGEND!
It actually had an interesting plot (perhaps even plausible; at least for 80's movie standards)
To this day, it has a cult following. It may not have done well at the box office, but everyone who was a teenager in 1986 (like myself) rented it at least 2-3x on VHS. I still get nervous when I walk by a coke machine. LOL!
And finally, the film's soundtrack was the AC⚡️DC album "Who Made Who"!.
What's not to like about THAT!
The premise was absurd. About 80 of King's writings have been turned into screenplays. This one should have not been among them, other than for stoner laugh/scare time.

Excuse me? Howard the Duck was one of the best movies of the 80's. The music, the humor, the emotion. All so perfect. Well, except the CGI at the end of the movie. Even as a kid I thought that part was bad, but nonetheless a Golden Classic!!
Yeah they really should just stick with the puppets I mean they could have just said Jim Hanson come over here and help us that's all I got to do. Labyrinth was so much better in the sense of having great puppets and animatronics and things like that. No CGI necessary unless of course is to show how big the labyrinth is.

I actually Like Howard The Duck. Jeffrey Jones was bloody awesome in it, the special FX were really impressive (especially that monster at the end) and there was a fair bit of carnage. But most of the other movies were assaults on the senses.

Maybe I'm biased, but Maximum overdrive was awesome! If you look it up, it was just Steven King having some fun with an (albeit bad) action movie. And having AC/DC as the film score... You can't go wrong! It was a bad film but it was so bad, it was awesome! Also, good actors shine in their moments and their bound to have a few films that (hopefully) don't tarnish their career. Love ya Michael Caine!
Well Stephen King hated the movie and even vowed never to direct again. Also King wasn't trying to make a bad film. Had it had a good director, it could actually have been great

And judging by some of the reviews on Imdb for some of these movies, I'm not the only one. Why why why can't some film-makers figure out what kind of movies the average person likes? Why do they keep making terrible crap stupid movies?
How the hell did "Shanghi Surprise" not end up on that list. Even at 13 I knew that was the worst movie I'd ever see! In fact, my friend and I hung out in the bathroom lobby of the theater after about a half hour of watching the film, and were more entertained. Only movie I've EVER walked out on. What? You've never heard of it? Well, let me tell you this much. It starred Madonna and Sean Penn, when they were married...and I honestly think that's enough of an explanation.
At least Grease 2 had some decent songs and cool costumes, and it's a kick to watch future mega-stars in it.

I think Howard The Duck was originally more of an adult oriented comicbook. Then when George Lucas opted to do a more kid friendly movie the film bombed. The film has a bit of a cult fan following,so calling it one of the worst movies of the 1980s is a bit harsh.

I liked "Howard the Duck" comic-books growing up as a kid. If Disney is going to reboot the marvel character, I hope they make it more adult oriented like the comic-book version.

Superman IV was far worse than Superman III. It's a shame because the basic premise of Superman IV wasn't bad. But it suffered from a bad script and bad special effects. As the video said Cannon Films were notoriously cheap.

Superman 4 had a better story than 3 (imo), but the execution of it and special FX were sad. Could've been an epic movie, but it's like they weren't really trying.
Well, Superman 4 suffered a lot from budget cuts. Many scenes were left out, which explains why the movie feels so rushed like there was something missing. If you watch it, you'll see it.
There is nothing wrong with Howard the Duck and I never heard of Going Overboard.

As for "Superman 4 : Quest For Peace", Gene Hackman, the late Christopher Reeve and co, deserved much better.
With "Jaws 4 : The Revenge", Michael Caine must have needed the pay cheque - not his finest hour!.

Maximum Overdrive is a B type of movie and enjoyable but it wasn't bad enough to be mentioned.
What makes the movie good? The all AC/DC soundtrack. I've seen this move at least 75 times.

It was also a controversial movie where they had to cut the scene short with the boy being run over by the steam roller.
That joker truck was the coolest and scariest thing ever when I was a kid. You couldn't talk to or reason with it, it just smiled and tried to kill you.
"Mac and Me" still has that "so bad, it's good" status! I love watching that movie just to laugh at it! The scene where the kid in the wheelchair goes off the cliff and into the water is just intentionally hilarious!!

Don't you dare put Howard The Duck in this list! I love that movie. To me it a iconic part of the 80s. Shoot I have the DVD, and still watch it.
