4. Never Ever date a girl with a long list of rules, she's only telling you what she wants. Does she ask what you want?
When I dated my wife ? Over 26 years ago. We just talked, and that was it. No rules, no games. Just like each others company. I guess people are too crazy now😂
if keeping things simple works between 2 people, everything else will be just fine
good point
Both people being in alignment with each other is essential.
It's called a relationship, it goes both ways
When I met the woman who became my wife… she was 42, I was 31. She was very classy, a business professional who always wore suits to work. Shortly after we started dating I called her “Toots” one day. She laughed so hard. She said she loved it. We got married 5 months later. This November (2024) we will be married 40 years. It’s still awesome!
Excellent!
The anomoly has arisen.
Girl: I love you.
Me: I love you too my buddy.
My buddy lies over the ocean. My buddy lies over the sea. Buddy can you spare a dime?
TikTok girl likes a man that refers to his friends as his buddies. Really doubt she wants to be called buddy personally lol
Men aren't allowed to be men, old fashioned, masculine... We can thank a certain group in society for that.
I'm 50 and I've been told it's creepy to be 'old fashioned' by 'modern women'
@@boris1387 I think this is the wrong thread to discuss this lol
@@grants5383 I've even been known to tip my cap when buxom fillies walk past lol
Definitely first time I've heard of a woman finding the phrase, "My buddy," attractive.😅
Same 😂😭
She said "my buddy" and I damn near fell out
It's crazy because I call my platonic girl friends buddy all the time
Did she mean she likes to be called his buddy?
I work in ag. A backwards hat doesn’t fly off while riding a 4-wheeler on a windy day.
As always, she left out the most important part: All of this works if and only if she finds him attractive to begin with. If she doesn't and someone does this, it's usually anywhere between weird and creepy. Not a single thing of them will actually create attraction.
The backward hat also works when you're about to throw a poke-ball. See: Ash Ketchum.
😂😂😂
Lmao
😂😂😂
Seemed to work for him, he had Misty follow him around everywhere 😂
IDK about being called buddy from someone you've just met 🤔. Thank you to Mrs Ryan for these videos helping Men and Women. I'm just glad I still have my long black hair in my 20's because I only use hair grease and shampoo on it. It's why I'm cool being a 24 year old Christian virgin working as a special education teacher and clinical mental health counselor. This has nothing to do with the video but please listen if you want to otherwise leave it alone and ignore it. Hello my name is Justin and I'm a Christian and Apologist but I'm also a college graduate. I'm not a closed minded Theist as I have nothing against Atheists or unbelievers as I speak to them often to understand their reasons for unbelief but we as Christians are convinced of God's Existence due to many real factors). I'm not trying to convert anyone or convince anyone to become Christians as that's The Holy Spirit's job to help people believe but only explain why I believe in Jesus Christ. There's actually evidence of God's Existence in Christianity. First of all there's proof that Jesus of Nazareth existed in history since the writings of Tacitus, Josephus Flavius, Pliny the younger and other historical documents prove that He was living two thousand years ago that even scholars both religious and Atheists agree with historically speaking but not that He's The Divine Son of God because obviously they don't.
I'm going to give you historical and archeological evidence for God's Existence as The Scriptures have prophecies that predate the events recorded in them by several millennia including Matthew, Hosea and Zechariah which prophesy accurately of the people of Israel becoming a nation again after over 1900 years of being scattered around the nations since the destruction of the Temple in Jerusalem in 70 A.D. spoken of by Christ in Matthew 23:29-24:3 and returning to their homeland after The Holocaust with Jerusalem as their capital in 1948 exactly as Jesus The Christ said. The prophets including Daniel spoke of the time where several world empires would arise and fall including the Babylonian kingdom, Medes and Persians, Roman Empire, and Saladin and the Muslims which went in consecutive order for the past few millennia. The people of Israel becoming a nation after The Holocaust in 1948 (ironically the melting point of gold as God compares Israel to gold that's tested in fire in Zechariah 13:8 and Jeremiah 16:15) exactly how Jesus The Christ said would happen since God us everything to come in The Scriptures and not just because people were working towards as Atheists claim which are impossible for any regular man to predict.
Just before anyone says Christianity is a white man's religion made to oppress blacks during slavery you obviously aren't aware that the first Christians were Jews in The Middle East and that Christianity just like any religion can be used by evil and corrupt people to oppress others but you forget that the first Abolitionists/Civil Rights activists were Christians who sought to abolish slavery, racism, segregation, injustice and prejudice throughout American history. Jesus The Christ loves you enough not to give you what we all deserve which is God's Wrath by His Own Blood. Charles Darwin didn't originally come up with The Theory of Evolution over 200 years ago as it is mentioned in the writings of Ancient Greeks who believed in Demons that gave knowledge to philosophers.
Evolution makes no sense when nothing has evolved after thousands of years of human history and supposedly the first creature came from primordial sludge several millions of years
ago funny how they won't believe that God an Eternal Almighty Spirit Being created us from the Earth) which came from a supermassive expansion of matter at high temperature that inexplicably created everything in the known universe that supposedly came from nothing billions of years ago. How did the organs evolve before there were bones, skin, substance and how did any creatures see before eyes evolved? I've studied evolution and abiogenesis in the past and read Darwin's " Origin of The Species" and I'm not convinced of macro Evolutionary biology whereas I accept micro Evolution like speciation and adaptation but not macro Evolution because there's no evidence of it nor clear observable examples of it where living creatures evolve into other kinds of species plus the fact that fossils don't show evidence of evolution and genetic entropy rules out evolution. The question begs how did two genders evolve from a common ancestor with a perfectly hospitable and sustainable environment with breathable oxygen and resources to survive on inexplicably? Atheists have the burden of proof to explain how everything came to be and why our existence is possible without the Existence of God from an godless perspective just as Christians have to provide evidence of God's Existence and the validity of His Word.
Evolution requires life to already exist in order to take any effect in living organisms so it doesn't account for the existence of Life and reality. Also evolution is impossible because it goes against The Law of entropy and the second Law of thermodynamics because evolution makes things better whereas nothing continues to get better but decays and turns to absolute destruction in the end. Mark Ridley an Evolutionist said "No evolutionist whether gradualist or punctuationist uses the fossil record as evidence in favor of The Theory of Darwinian Evolution as opposed to special Creation". God's Existence is made perfectly known and observable in the universe as demonstrated in His Handiwork in the intelligently designed manner that Creation was made, human consciences and consciousness historical and archaeological evidence of God's Word being valid history, fulfillment of Bible Prophecies God in His Holiness and Righteousness could give us what we deserve in Hell for our since but He's merciful to give us free will to choose to accept or reject His gift of salvation by grace through faith in His Son Jesus. I don't mean this is any condescending manner but if you'd like to discuss The Scriptures with me or have me listen to your view on anything my instagram account is Savage Christian Kombatant
A woman will say stuff like that but they actually don't know what they want and are confused as well.
I think this is true for most people; we dont know what we really want until we experience it
@@infinitedurr Experience is something you don't get until right after you need it.
the fact that she claims these traits are non-physical and then goes on to contradict herself twice, lends more credence to your point.
I think many women (and men) won't say what they like/want in others because sometimes they are afraid they'll be judged by it.
@@highlanderknight true but it's mostly women though
My buddy and I have never heard of this. Half the list was physical, so I don't think she knows what non-physical means.
Probably right 😂
I think I've seen her do videos like this before and is having trouble coming up with new lists.
By physical they meant = not relating to looks / body / appearance
1) Being called buddy is actually insulting when I don't know the guy, and neutral when I know them. 2) I open the door for everyone if I'm in that position. 3) Always kind to strangers, especially the elderly or disabled. 4) That's physical, I'm in good shape/have good arms but it's not something I pay attention to 5) I only laugh when there's a social element to it, if I see something funny, or there's an awkward situation 6) I don't wear hats, I like what my hair looks like and I'm too old for a backwards baseball hat 7) I'm very attentive with traffic, that came naturally as a cyclist, having played basketball before, or just driving forever - whether as a pedestrian or as a driver, but I always thought only I noticed that. 8) Still single and I've been out more with women who were manipulative. Still looking for the wife.
Agree totally 👍
@@rajmathew6220 how many people didn't pay attention to the first one brought up haha it wasn't the girl being called buddy, it was the guy talking about one of his friends using the phrase my buddy. It was the phrase, not the word itself. If a man calls a girl buddy he put her in the friend zone just like if a girl calls a guy bro she put herself in the friend zone. That's not what was going on here
Yeah buddy is condescending af
Hey buddy, you got a problem? It's not that deep, my guy. Stop projecting, pal.
@@SamBourgeois-mr4hq go to the "guy" bar and have a great 4th!
In the circles I run in, “brother” is generally a positive way to address another man. “Buddy” is often used in a slightly sarcastic and passive-aggressive way. I suppose it depends on your local culture.
10-4 brother.
I suspect we run in similar circles and I've always found brother to be used when addressing your close friend directly, whereas when you're talking about them to another person, you say buddy so as not to imply literal blood relation (because the bond often is deeper and more complex than that)
Right there with you. “Buddy” is a slightly pejorative way of referring to a liked, but inferior acquaintance. I personally don’t like to be called “brother” tho by anyone other than a very good friend.
Agreed 👍
@@JACCO20082012Oops I realize that I misinterpreted the video. The woman was talking about using “buddy” to speak about another man, not to another man. That is different.
I'm old enough to remember the "My Buddy" doll, I can't use that phrase without thinking about that. Not happening. 😆

Skilled tradesman here to explain that the backward baseball cap shields the back of the neck, and indicates that you do interesting things outdoors that require your attention, so your head is often inclined and neck exposed to sunlight. Also, high winds or moving at high speeds create turbulence under the brim and blow the hat to who knows where. The cap turned backwards indicates a life of action, and that's one reason why it's attractive to some women.
Skilled tradesman here to say that explanation is definitely in line with how women think, meaning it makes very little sense. Most of the time I'm wearing my hard hat anyways. But when I'm doing things outside wearing a baseball cap, I like to wear it forwards to keep the sun out of my eyes. My neck is fine. I don't drive a convertible, so I've never had my cap blow off of my head. Maybe I just wear one that fits me. Maybe I don't spend enough time outside during hurricanes.

Part 2. Being called buddy is an insult here in the west.
I'm not your buddy, guy
Not in the modern western world - girls like being treated badly - not Lady Courtney though.
I haven’t experienced that and I’ve been working with men for a long time
Buddy in general is an insult
@@mattgisi3375I'm not your guy, buddy
Thank you so much for the content you've been providing. This is really meaningful for us.
Try those tips out, and you will perceive the difference in a way women look at you.
When I hear someone say "buddy," 90% of the time it means "I don't like you or what you're doing, but I don't want to be mean to you because I don't really know you, so let's resolve this amicably." Like let's say I double park my car for a second to drop something off. A guy I'm blocking in who needs to leave might be like "Hey, buddy, I need you to move the car, I'm about to leave." I literally never hear it outside of this sort of context. Maybe it's a regional thing? (I'm from NY, that's how we use it here)
I live in Florida (but have lived all over the US) all my coworkers use buddy as a term of endearment. In my book? Buddy is what I call another guy I’m about to get into a fight with. It’s what you call a 5 year old who doesn’t know anything. I have to continuously remind myself that they aren’t trying to talk down to me.
@@Torgomasta Yeah exactly, like if you're about to get into a fight, you would say something like "Hey, buddy, go away, I don't wanna take this outside." Like it's one step away from using "a$$hole" but you don't quite want to escalate that hard yet. I don't know anybody who would use it endearingly. We would use the term "my boy" or "my girl" in that case. Like "Hey, my boy is at the bar, wanna go grab a drink?" (or swap it out for "my girl" if appropriate)
In the Midwest we usually use "sir" for that, but it's also a much less frequent problem. At least compared to about a thirty mile radius of NYC. Usually if one vehicle is blocking in another there's some kind of special circumstance. I'm a truck driver, and on occasions where I have to block in someone's car to unload something I typically am watching for them to come back so I can move enough for them to get out.
I've held many doors for women, All I get is a Thank You, never had her hot and bothered over it
Bruh 🤜🏻

Hold up. You get a "Thank you"? I never heard those words uttered from a woman's mouth.
@@FrankM Only men said thanks.
Hey Courtney, I love your input! Could you make the same videos for women (e.g how to dress nicely) 😅
I'm lucky, I suppose. I grew up with a great mother and older sis as role models, so I did learn a lot of these things early in life.
Thank you for another great video, Courtney. These are definitely things men need to know.
It's definitely refreshing to see someone convey positivity, and the more opinions the better imo.
And if you are a man that is just learning this... that's okay! It will only better your life and the lives of those around you :)
I AM left a bit baffled by the whole "hat to the back" thing. Could just be a little niche personal preference.
Love your content. Thanks lots.
1) WTH? 🤣
I’m lost on that one.
I’ve always thought that wearing a baseball hat backwards makes you look silly, unless you’re riding a bicycle or you’re on a firing range.
Makes you look juvenile. Apparently in my area juvenile is a turn on.

Or unless you're Avicii (RIP)

My hats for covering up my Receding hair line as I cope with trying to come to terms with my male pattern baldness...
I'm guessing that the "my buddy" thing is an indicator that the guy is a "man among men." It's a very masculine trait to have the respect, camaraderie and friendship of other men.
The use "my buddy" (as opposed to "hey buddy") demonstrates a level of loyalty and ownership of ones membership in the tribe.
In an evolutionary frame, humans became successful as hunter-gatherers.The ability of men to form hunting parties and operate as a cohesive team was critical to our survival as a species.
There's a reason that use of a "buddy system" is common in high risk activities like scuba diving.
Courtney, being a gentleman has worked very well for me. My new girlfriend loves that about me and that’s one of the things that attracted her about me. Thank you for all the advice.
My buddy is my German Shepherd. Maybe she heard me talking to my dog. I never wear a backward baseball cap.
Saying "my buddy" is military/police/firefighter/EMS slang for "my good friend" but it implies that that there is a deeper bond there from facing and supporting each other in danger and trauma.
This is very different from "hey buddy" "how's it going, buddy" when approaching someone unknown are inserting yourself into a volatile situation, where it implies potential hostility to the pertain being spoken to.
My guess is that it is attractive because it implies that the guy is some kind of "sheepdog" type that knows how to handle himself and has that "protective" personality and instinct. It is probably very similar to the way most women find "a man in uniform" to be attractive. The buddy thing is just a weird little quirk of the field that she has heard and assocates with those traits because she has male friends/family who are in that field and say it.
It's one of those things you don't really get or think about until you've spent time in that culture. She's spot on and she probably has no idea why lol.
This needs an asterisk of "only if she already likes you."
Truth. If she likes you enough burping is hot too.
If she likes you then there is no list
Thank you Courtney for addressing “Out of the Car!” I would TOTALLY put my foot down to help the women who I date, despite my visual impairment.
I'm in AA and I said to one of the women in that group "sup buddy?" but back then I said it all the dang time. I never thought about it. She told me, sometime in the future, that it meant the world to her that I said that. I was like "Really? Why?" because to me it was always like "Hey" or "What's up?" or anything casual like that. She said it meant so much to her cuz she never had a "buddy" in her life.....not once. And at this point, she was probably late 50s or early 60s. I was like late 20s at the time. I was like "Oh that's just something I say to people I like." but she was insistent "No you don't know how much that meant to me and how good it made me feel. Thank you!" and I was like "Sure thing buddy" haha She was a really awesome person!! Zero love connection but a good friend and very insightful.
Happy Friday, Courtney!
Your advice is very informative. I am 63 years old learn every day from u professor

Good video ! Your channel is very good !
Not quite the same thing, but this girl I used to hang out with found it attractive that i called my little brother "kiddo" (in a non-patronizing way). I guess it was endearing because it showed that I had a good relationship with my family.
Where I live and circle (Socal), a lot of my friends and cousins use buddy to refer to each other. "A buddy of mine" is common phrase to talk about our friends. Although buddy can also be used in a negative way, like older or taller men talking to other guys they don't know.
I hold doors open for others, men or women, when I'm aware a little help is needed. There was one occasion that I held a door open for a somewhat elderly woman. It might've been winter or she was carrying something, don't exactly remember. But I asked her if she was OK before I was done. She said she was fine. But off to the side, I noticed a younger gal who witnessed this looking very favorably at me! Anyways, thanks for your channel, Courtney and all you do to help bridge the gaps in our understanding of each other.
First of all appreciate the content & insight! Secondly I've had a woman say she really liked how I planned a date made all the arrangements.
I got to admit I don't smile enough but I do love a good laugh now and again, laughter is medicine for the soul!
It can be difficult to naturally smile often when we are hard wired sometimes to constantly focus on negative things around us. And I don't mean that you yourself are negative. By nature we are trained at a young age to judge things to protect ourselves. We are raised to judge, and when making judgements we naturally look for the negatives to figure out if something is something we should avoid for physical or emotional protection. Thus we become hard wired to look for the negative and focus on the negative. It's difficult to train ourselves to instead focus on the positive and see the good as the more important things to focus on. If we can get ourselves to focus more often and the majority of the time on the positive, then that will reflect on us and help our general mood to be positive thus making it easier to smile naturally and more often. Have to train yourself to be positive by judging things more on the positive features then the negative so it becomes natural for you.
I'm still working on this myself. Even though I already see myself as positive I tend to focus on and elevate the negatives to make judgements on things. I can't think of a good example but perhaps its more of a, when you first make the judgement on something rather then your brain suddenly making a list of negatives which you then have to use positivity to bludgeon things off that list, you get in the habit of doing the opposite. So the first time you make a judgment on something your list of things are positives but tempered with understanding of some potential negatives.

Lots of men already do things like this and it means nothing. Seems like it's just for women who already has a boyfriend and when *THEY* do it, it makes them seem hot. But if you're single, they don't care that you do these things already.
Facts
three things made me feel like i have to drop a comment on this video:

2- half of her list is physical stuff 😅 (but you still made a good video about it and that's what we want at the end of the day)
3- i love that kind of blue 😊

On the first one I have been told having in names/ nicknames is attractive cause like Court said it shows you have relationships. The buddy part might be a daddy issue thing for her (joking but....).
I respect this content Courtney you've done it again masterpiece video
Thank you my friend! You’re always so kind!
When I say "my buddy"...it means someone who really isn't a friend but someone who you have connections to via work etc. It's a ranking of friendship for me. Buddies are guys who you'd go out for a beer with but not tell secrets.
Do you have old videos where viewers still comeback to and watch? And any idea why they comeback to re-watch the video?
Happy Wednesday Courtney.😮
You too my friend!
My input on topic 1: I can see the attraction. I’m a guy and when I talk about my fellow associates it’s just that. I don’t refer to a lot of people as my buddy or friend so I can see where it shows the potential for a personal relationship.
Smiling, laughing = we've accepted every dam thing life has thrown @ us especially the tough stuff. And keep going.
We all know women will change all of their roles and all of their preferences for guys based off of looks, especially when it comes to red flags so I'm sure this is just another one of those videos that only applies towards guys women are already attracted to because the first one is the use of the phrase my buddy which just means he has friends so if she already finds him attractive this just adds on to it. It's great that 80% of men are deemed unattractive to the point that them just getting over the bar is a lot easier than they think.

I find your videos very informative and educational. I also find that the content is being recycled. I find that the “list” type videos have been covered. Maybe it’s time to cover different topics when it comes to men and women. For example: Being better at communicating, how to be more affectionate towards your partner,Boundaries inside the relationship. These are just a few I came up with.
I agree with these. But I'm learning looks do matter, so people keep that in mind too.

This is a good, I do a lot of training that teaches good morals, respect and be kind. I saw a older lady almost fall over and I jumped as fast as I could to help, also a old man fell in a charity shop at the door, he slipped on the carpet, nobody even working there went to help so I ran over fast as possible.
Tks . Ryan . !
Look lovely in this dress.
Yes, a woman likes to know you have friends. And if they speak of you in a good manner. This is a way for women to know "gauge" how he is in a social atmosphere. (Status) among friends, and will stick up for him. I guarantee you, this was a factor in you deciding Teddy.
"Buddy" is more of a diminutive term to men. Men, when speaking respectfully of their fellow men, likely wouldn't refer to them as their "buddy", very few men are just likely to call their casual friends "buddy".
A "buddy" is basically someone new at work assigned to shadow you to orientate them. Not a familiar, intimate friend you respect and see as your equal.

Aside from the comment on the rolled up sleeves, the girl is basically saying that she finds it attractive when a guy displays selfless, gentleman like behavior in a variety of situations. As a guy, yes, I try to display these but I too am looking for a woman who likewise displays these traits. I agree with you Courtney about the backwards baseball look. Furthermore, I am tired of seeing people wearing baseball caps (forward or backward) in church and other semi formal settings.
I've had first dates who dozed off for a few minutes in the passenger seat while I was driving. I've been told this was a complement, but I'm not convinced.
I can't think of being pulled back from the street without thinking about a buddy of mine (hey, look, I used the word "Buddy!") who was pulled back out of the street and certain death once. The situation was that he was in the Air Force, had gone out for a drink or ten, got rip-roaring drunk, and stepped off the curb to hail a cab back to base at just the instant a car came speeding by and would have killed him. He said that he had a weird feeling somewhere he'd heard the voice of the guy who saved him when he said, "Son, you need to be a little more careful. Here, let me hail the cab for you." He admitted that it had taken him a moment to realize that his guardian angel was wearing a general's uniform and he ought to salute. Then he recognized the face that went with the voice that could have just as easily have been saying, "Let me tell you about my rabbit friend named Harvey." James Stewart had just kept him from being a traffic fatality.
As an engineer, practical aspects of backwards hat: neck protection, style, going under to change the oil in a car, working out, seeing things when doing Frisbee, using it as a backup welding cap, holding hair out of the way, showing your brand/ team without restricting vision,
lol I justed turned my hat around at the lat pull down.
My gf wants to know that she is my best friend also, actually.
.
Blue is definitely a great color for you to wear stunning
Probably she is referring as non-physical that it is not considering if someone is good looking or handsome, because the roll up sleeves don't mean that someone may be good looking and the same would go for smiling
Lmao I’m never opening the door for strangers again, most people never even say thank you. I’m just opening that shit for me and my family or friends and whenever I have a gf. Only exception is old people that are strangers.
Haha I think its funny how her list “had nothing to do with appearance”, yet #’s 4, 5 & 6 are 100% related to appearance.
And I somewhat understand #1 b/c I used to call my ex-wife “my buddy”. Makes them feel like they’re not only your spouse but also your best friend.
Matching colors everywhere on this one😎👍
I'm Gen X and back in the day, a backwards baseball cap was douchey, as you've basically stated in different terms. I hate it, and it's great to see I'm not alone! For me it's always frontwards hat, or none at all 😊
I only wear my hat backwards when I work. I'm blue collar, and I get up too early to care about my hair and it stays our of the way and stays on better when it's backwards. That's really it
That makes sense!
Thank you. 👍🏻
Only time I wear my hat backwards is when I’m in a boat and I’m going faster than 5 mph. Donated a hat or two in my time.
i like speaking about friends as buddy too hahah. it seems more chummy and fun than "friend".
friend sounds childish..can't explain

Damn right there are! Look at Ash Ketchum when he readies for battle!
From my experience showing that I have a very good relationship with my mom and my little sister and cherish them I’ve been told is very attractive and a green flag.
The cab driver like "Who she talkin to?"
