"It just requires you to type in your credit card number, and pay a woman who doesn't even care about you, which is sad"
And while very true, this quote similarly describes the way some men feel within relationships.
In the case of divorce or break up, this simply means that some men will continue to pay a woman who doesn't care about him, forever, or risk being thrown in jail.

Regardless, in person is where its at. Online doesn't work because women screen for appearance same as we do, only they apply an "ick" factor to the men who don't look the way they want. Men will accept a woman who is available even if she doesn't match his physical wishes completely.

Thank God for the mid-30s slump in testosterone levels, things have gotten much easier for me lately. I still care, after a fashion, but I'm not broken up about the prospect of being alone for the rest of my life. I suspect that with time I'll stop caring completely, and be content with what I do have, which objectively is a hell of a lot. Wealth, time, and most importantly, freedom and peace of mind.

I gave up looking for a woman before the internet was invented. I tried endlessly to be the best I could be. I was a So Cal surfer, male model, Ivy Grad, well known local theater actor. Didn't do drugs, not a partier, did love dancing in the clubs to great bands. (It was the 80s) I was told constantly that I could get any women I wanted, by both women and men. That was not my lived experience.
Women were mean, nasty, cruel, deliberately hurtful. Sometimes laughed in my face. I never got to have a conversation, to show my personality, my intelligence, my humor, my charm. I was rejected simply for approaching them. I dont know why til this day.
The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. So I stopped completely.
I just turned 71. I own 2 homes, one on a private beach in Nova Scotia. I'm a multi millionaire, but I don't live or act like one. So it was not because I was poor or not willing to work hard.
I haven't even held a woman in my arms in 30 years. That blows my mind when I say it. I take responsibility for not asking anyone out or even going out. But why would I try when I had 25 years of rejection and pain. Why would I do that again to myself.
    I'd rather die alone.

I regret ever having put myself out there.
I met a beautiful woman with traditional values who I loved and cherished, and she still dropped me, never told me why, sent a text of our break up of a relationship of eight years, and told me the lease was up in ten days.
I'm in a far worse place than had I never met her. My life and mental state is in shambles, even a year later.
All over a woman. It isn't worth it. They are not worth it.

as a 43 year old single, never married 'average' man, everything I've achieved I've done so in spite of the women in my life. I'm blessed to be an extreme introvert where I can say that dating is not worth the very real risks and consequences of sorting through spent, desperate women trying to find an escape from the consequences of their life choices. Modern women offer me nothing but drama, discomfort, discontentment, and financial strain only after I've already done the hard work to be succesful without them. A little bout of loneliness once or twice a year is a small price to pay for the bullets it helps me dodge. Bullets that have left so many friends with destroyed lives that I could not ignore the warnings left by their stories. Eventually, women will realize that you have to get in at ground level and commit if you want to get taken to the top, but this is not that era. This is an era of delusion, misandry, unaccountablility, and self-entitlement. I know there are good women out there, I am sure there are even a couple women who could fit my life and lifestyle, but I am not so good a judge of character that I have any confidence I could find her. I will stay where I am. Thanks.

Well said. I'm 50 now, divorced at 40 from an unfaithful wife. Had to file bankruptcy and start over. Things have gone well the past few years focusing on self improvement (lost 70 lbs and off blood pressure meds). But I haven't dated since the divorce and even though my libido has returned with my improved health, I can't justify re-entering the dating market. As you get older, you really get to know yourself, your interests, what you will or won't put up with etc. You're right though, a couple times a year that loneliness rears its head and it can be rough. That's when I force myself to get outside my man cave and interact with people who have common hobbies/interests.

    - Lived at home or with roommates 58%
    - Overweight or obese 55%
    - Kids at home or single mothers 48%
    - Found out they cheated 23%
    - Has an actual hobby 19%
    * Shopping, watching TV, traveling and eating out aren't hobbies
** At some point in every relationship, given enough time, all of the women wanted me to quit my hobbies so we could sit on the couch and watch TV together.
*** Doing the same hobby as me, with me, doesn't count
I will freely admit at some point I was dating a lot of women that weren't particularly desirable to me. However, as you get older your options thin out and I was willing to take chances. I will also say I realized that I attracted broken women because I was broken. Now that I've fixed my issues dating seems like a waste of time.
I've been single 8 years and I look the same as I did 10yrs ago. I'm working on being better then I was 20yrs ago.

I realized then that it didn't matter how "perfect" I worked at making myself or how I scored on all the metrics---the only thing that mattered was this flighty woman's emotions in the moment, as she instantly decided my fate, likely based upon what salad dressing I ordered, or the color of my socks. Men don't get inquiries from 47 women. So, after a period of trying to be the best we can be, we walk away and save our time, money, energy, and yes, emotions.

Women not seeing the sad perspective of men who truly put in the effort and want to find a real and deep connection. Men not seeing the side of women being used and tossed aside like a pair of dirty socks. It's not all men are bad or all woman are bad. It seems to me that good men end up with bad women and good women end up with bad men. Also there is no more community. You used to go to a local dance, meet someone and date. You wouldn't just start ignoring the person you were seeing, or show up with someone else at a local event. That was a hard nono. Now? Swiping, ghosting, benching, the quick dopamine hits, meeting someone on an online platform... It's all very unnatural. Sometimes I feel we need to disconnect in order to (re)connect.

Then they get frustrated and angry because women keep choosing the pump-and-dumpers over them while simultaneously whining that there are no nice guys. 🙄

There are very rare exceptions of women who won't mock a man for showing emotions, or weaponize it against them, but those too typically are not interested in a relationship with that particular man. Those rare women do make for great friends though, but take your time for vetting such individuals - bacause you are opening yourself up for a world of emotional hurt if you don't.

I can see some truth behind your words, but as health-nut, I'm not sugarcoating anything when I'm asking for it in a potential mate. I'm being real. Imagine later in life if you stay together with someone who has a lot of unhealthy habits ...the accumulated health problems and medical costs can accumulate into a huge burden. Good health translates to quality-of-life, happiness, and overall satisfaction with your significant other.
Imagine too the role-model a person with such unhealthy habits would be if you were to have a child with them. Children learn by what you do, not what you say. It would undoubtedly have a negative impact upon the child, and that's not something I can personally abide by. I try and be my best-self and lead by example. I expect the same in the women I am in relationships with, and that is not "unkind".
On a final note, if a person is on their own ... then they can be as overweight as they want. ...But in a relationship, it's a selfish thing to do. The burdens, emotional, mental, and ultimately financial are all things brought into the relationship that didn't need to be there.
P.S. In speaking about the health burdens brought into the relationship... I'm specifically talking about things like being overweight, smoking, alcohol, or drugs. These are self inflicted and can be overcome. I don't hold health ailments beyond a persons control to the same standard. I'm after the person who CHOOSES to live a better life, not only for themselves, but for their spouse and children as well. I don't' ask anything out of another that I wouldn't ask of myself.

I think it's really a matter of the attitude of your SO, and how they push you to be better. In a sense they could still be your "opposite", but they're more supportive about helping cover your weaknesses, so overall you can both be more well rounded. A silly example is cooking and cleaning. I don't like cooking much, but my gf does, so when we get married, she'll primarily be cooking, while I'll primarily be washing the dishes and cleaning up afterwards. But do women want an adult that lives with mom, plays video games all day while he gets fat? No, they don't. Her biggest problem is not recognizing the flaws she's bitching about are equally as bad, if not worse, in females. Ok, 2nd biggest problem. The first is that she's on tiktok to begin with. Remove masturbation and my requirements for a woman in my 40s are steeper than hers. Add a degree of intellect, a career (not a job), no liberals, be feminine and submissive.......and a few more. Anything less and I don't waste my time and I pretty much always have someone I'm dating/in a relationship with. If you put her ideas through Courtney's filter and you'd have no problem with what she was saying unless you're guilty of being a fat, lazy, momma's boy with no life potential.

Many smokers I've known use cigarettes to relax and de-stress. Of course they are simultaneously addicted, and there is a chemical component that drives the addiction, but people BEGIN watching porn and using cigarettes BEFORE they are addicted. And it's certainly reasonable that many porn users began using porn as a way to escape, feel good in the moment, "interact" with women, etc. I don't think your ignoramus comment really holds much weight here.

Most people who are addicted to cigarettes do not use them to "destress" anymore than an infant using a pacifier out of habit. While I'm sure it gives them temporary euphoria, they're not grabbing a cigarette ONLY during stress.

For Courtney, i'll try to explain how exactly that sort of hopelessness feels. How would you feel if you did everything you could do to attract even the barest whisper of attention from someone you like, and then have them tell you that you're not worthy of them? Rinse and repeat for 20 years. Then add on top of that, the maintenance of your home, your family ties, your finances (especially with this whacked out job market and the financial system that has produced nothing but inflation and misery for the past 30 years), your expectations and others expectations of your future. Before calling a man lazy, you might want to take into consideration all he has stacked on his shoulders and then wondering why he can't run the marathon of dating. Then they wonder why the male self-deletion rate is so high. I'm 34 and have never had a girlfriend before, much less a wife because I haven't found any women worthy of the title. I don't seek perfection. I just want someone who doesn't make me want to slash my wrists when I walk in the door. This is especially bizarre due to the fact that I fit most of the stereotypical desires a lot of women say they want. I'm 6'2'' muscular, moderately intelligent. I have a stable job, my own home, no children or baby momma drama. A 7 out of 10 on the looks scale. I'm no Adonis, but i'm not ugly either. I'm not bragging, but merely trying to hammer home the severity of the situation. If someone of my intellect, physical attributes, financial stability, and integrity can't find a woman, then what chance does someone who has less have?

I do try to improve myself and make myself more presentable towards women, but I question the usefulness of it every time I see these negative TikTok rants from mean-spirited women.
I've been burned by women with the same spiteful mentality as many of these TikTok girls. It's led me to have a very cynical and pessimistic view on dating, as well as a general feeling of distrust. I can't help but feel suspicious any time a girl is being unexpectedly nice to me.

I'm sorry man, I want to be charitable to you here. You need to reread what you wrote. You are projecting your expectations of the future based on what this woman says? Rejection is a part of life, unfortunately. In my 44 years I have been fired from jobs, lost friends over my beliefs, and before getting married was rejected. It hurts. It totally does. I had a woman tell me she thought I was attractive and had a good petsonality but then that she could not date me because of my car, my apartment, my clothes my job. It hurt a little but there was wisdom gained from it. She was definitely in the long run going to be a disaster but I think she had some valid criticisms.
Rejection should not be the measure of whether you pursue a girl because yiu do not know the universe of women. You don't.
You could be missing out because yiu are telling yourself a story and you don't get to be in the sequel where you find what you want. All good stories have conflict and tension.
As for pornography, no woman should be expected to tolerate that. If a man wants a woman to be exclusive, he has to be exclusive. I would be suspect of any woman who accepted or encouraged pornography. It's also a grave matter. Despite what the redpill sells, we are more than animals.
Now get back out there dude, because to some woman, probably not a bad looking one either, you are probably worth it. You don't have to be a Chad. You just need to hold your head up and be willing to face rejection.
      Good luck.

She is getting her societal standards from social media and the internet. So he doesn't work out, maybe he needs a partner to push him to get into better shape. That's the issue, women want men in their prime. If they can't look a man's way when he is at his worst what makes a women think they deserve him at his prime? That just shows the man once he hits hard times or lets him self go a little because he is stressed out or life is getting him down that the women is going to abandon him. The point of a soul mate is to grow, to experience life together through the hard times and the good times. Why is it that men should be at the peak of their life for a women who is a wreck to come in and feed off of his hard work? My parents met when they both were at their worst. You know what happened? We have been taught that we don't need connection. We were taught to be lonely - and now we are happy being alone. We found our peace. We changed to suit women's wants.
If women want things to change - the change has to come from within:
Women have to hold each other accountable.
Women have to step up to actually be the "strong independent woman" table that they build".
Women cannot expect a man to lead - if she isn't willing got follow. You don't get it both ways.
Women have to prove long term that there will be some sort of ROI.
Then maybe men will then consider taking the biggest chance of their life.

LOL you are correct but things WILL NOT change until the INCENTIVES change. That can only come with an economic collapse, which is right around the corner. Unfortunately many of us (and said women) will be old by then.

@Canadian_Eh_I - won't be that long. Club of Rome predicted worldwide population collapse beginning around 2040. Their graphs shows a high point between 8 and 9 billion dropping under 2 billion by 2100.

When I was in my 20s and 30s I always got rejected by women but never received a feedback on what they had a problem with. As a guy who saw himself as quite normal but somewhat good looking and well-mannered back then it must have been something I did not and still do not notice. When I realized that regardless of what I do or don't do the result will be the same I decided to walk away, live my own life and do what I like, regardless of what other people might think about it. I do not work out but I take care of my attire and my appearance, but only for myself, not for the pleasure of others or to draw attention from women. So yes, I like to have a nice cocktail, a juicy burger here and there, a good cigar from time to time, watching SciFi movies and playing violent video games. After putting effort in dating without any success I realized that this is my life and decided to live it in the way I like it. And I don't care for women's opinion about that anymore.

I can understand that very well. Consider that you may not be the problem. Even if they like you, women are often just not ready to commit. Women have to overcome their fears and doubts themselves.

@@notconnected3815 Rejecting someone is different to not committing to someone. I never expected any committment from women after have the first one or two dates with them. But if they don't want to date anymore it is just done. And no woman, not a single one, is worth trying again and again. For me it is a waste of time dealing with them.

Exactly - same life journey here, I always thought something was wrong with me cuz no girl would pay attention or enough of it, kept trying to improve myself in every way and realized, nothing changes anyways (yes a little bit more attention, a little bit of XYZ, but not like you jumped from 0 to 100 difference)
and when I travelled outside and learned how women are in 90% of the world, and HOW THEY CHAAAAAASE to the end of time to be WITH ME, because in their eyes I am THE BEST of the BEST, the most manly, the most handsome, just perfect - please let's marry and have kids type
I realized wow, nothing is wrong with ME, everything is wrong in where I LIVE, so I gave up appeasing women in the west with unrealistic expectations - just like the housing market, inflation - there is a "ho inflation" too and you can either go under debt, risk it all and lose or you just take your business elsewhere
We are the men, we chose what we want to buy, not the other way around, if the market is poor quality, expensive fish, don't buy it, let them rot, take your business and hard earned $ elsewhere

Ya'll are 100% the problem, you are the only problem. Poor insight is the issue. You're like 2/10 dudes trying to get the 6/10+ woman. If you want that high value woman you got to go high value also. Or just go to Colombia and stop complaining, but I bet you cannot afford a passport or flight.

But these type of women make it sound like THEY are already perfect and the men need to do all the changing up. (Even if they do, she'd have some changing up to do as well)
Even though she said, she's an average/ normal woman, she'd still think she's the PERFECT/IDEAL average/normal woman. Whereas the average/normal man is considered far from perfect by default.
      Cheers!✌

I really was thrown back by her blaming men because they're the leaders. Girl I understand we can do better. I feel a lot of men are trying. What I Don't stand for is a women blaming men and not taking any accountability for their part. We don't get over this by blaming each other. If one sex loses, both lose.

Right? She says men find these other things easier...it's because so many modern women make relationships impossible for men. All you have to do is look at the statistics. Modern women are out there screwing the same few dudes and whining that they can't get commitment, turn around and call the rest of men trash and try to shame us all, then whine and slap their victimhood card on the table because "I can't find any good men out here."
It's currently a rigged game and men are hopefully taking note.
