It’s not just that Doug is popular, you guys do yourselves a disservice thinking that. You and Doug have the best chemistry together, it’s not an interview it’s a couple of friends shooting the shit for a few hours. It comes across in the videos, I think that’s why when he’s on the views are so much higher.
Actually thinking about this more, I think my main issue with Doug's videos is his overwhelming enthusiasm talking to the camera about the cars while they are parked. As an Australian that just rubs me wrong, because we are generally deprecating people. But that same enthusiasm works SO damn well in his conversation.
I absolutely love Doug and Matt (that Hennessey Blackwing video was epic), and I cannot describe how much I love these podcasts with him. Its such a great discussion and it really is like just listening in to the garage on saturday and hearing two dudes chat about cars. I love it and look forward to this almost yearly discussion...

Always the best guest. Hoovie just bought a concept Cadillac that will probably be available in the next few months. Doug should hit him up since it sounds like exactly the kind of concept car he is looking for.
The White Collection is even larger than that photo, the whole top floor is tons of memorabilia, books, posters - Doug and Matt would be shocked. 959 and Carrera GT had already been sold previously. Love these Doug episodes! My E90 330i still has the original CD changer in the trunk.
You guys literally just explained the “two Rogers” scene from Gone in 60 Seconds talking about buying a new Ferrari and feeling special. Awesome scene and completely agree
I wish this was a more common occurrence.. Excellent show. Im the rare one here thats always watching dougs videos but realize i need to watch more of TST
I'm so glad Doug brought up that Ed Bolian article, such a good piece of writing that served as a great little intermission in the tail end of the pod.
We already know Matt and Zack smoke, and I’m pretty sure Doug does too based on a few of his videos. That would make for a great patreon show, the 3 of them, blazing some good herb and BSing about cars. Call it Cars and Bud’s as someone mentioned above
The ford explorer talk hit me directly in the feeeeels! My dad got one as a company vehicle in 97 working for Radio Shack in Maine! Got a hand me down one at first, but then in 1998, got a brand new one. I thought we were the coolest people around. Those things for sure were everywhere in the north east. That thing was so cool, to 12 year old me😂
I love you guys and your perspective; and I listen to every episode. But I got on youtube to watch this episode for Doug. It is special to have him once a year, but I would love it if he was on twice a year. Thanks, keep up the great work!
As the former owner of a 2003 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer Edition I love when Matt mentions his Mountaineer or Villager Nautica Edition because a completely inordinate amount of time is spent discussing Ford Explorers and clothing-related trim levels.
I loves Doug’s “I will not disclose the fact that the car has been in an accident”. It’s like the 3rd time he’s said that. I wonder if who ever eventually buys it on Cars and Bids will remember the joke
I do solemnly and sincerely swear that I will watch this podcast collab for the rest of my entire life! 🔥 The entirety of the podcast was solid from beginning to end - admittedly love you guys’ relaxed, natural, unscripted chemistry more than any of the TST podcasts.
Great having Doug on the show as always and him being so open about his chocolate addiction!! Also enjoy when Zach joins in. Suggestion maybe have him on video all time but in a smaller screen in top right. Surprised when talking about prototype the Jaguar C-X75 is never mentioned. Honestly its one of the most beautiful cars ever and even by todays standards is seriously quick. Definitely agree on the Porsche Panamera if you can afford the up keep as a total bargain.
Could you ask Rod Stewart to be a guest ? He's a big car guy and has had a really interesting life. This pod cast was fun, especially watching Doug eating how many Reeses ?! Thanks Matt and Zack.
A 2001 Base model neon with a manual started my love for cars. My older brother had one and ripped a fat burnout in front of our house and i was hooked on car stuff since lmao.
I'm genuinely delighted at how pleasant and engaging this episode is. This is the medium and platform I needed to understand the appeal of Doug. Props to the hosts, and also to the Patreons that sent in some great questions, which generated genuine answers. You can't sit down to create this length of content with this amount of excitement unless you mean it. Thanks for everything, everyone! Also, my Fiesta ST was on Cars and Bids so thanks for the great platform.
Who remembers Doug trashing the Countach earlier in the year when he did one of these episodes? Lol talking about it drives like shit and its a headache to own. Now that he owns one he loves them 😂
On Tesla owners. For the record I own a Model 3 and I not only have driven lots of trucks but I drove a huge 26’ box truck for work. Can’t wait for my Cyber Truck. Am actually hoping it’s so good Matt changes his tune on it. If we can get Matt lol

I have had a couple glasses of bourbon and have been listening to yall bullshitting for hours now. I love it. Please make these happen yearly. When is the next Jason Cammisa episode coming out lol. Love yall, happy for both of your success :)
One of the weirdest accessories I’ve seen. Hyundai Tucson had a special edition for The Walking Dead and it came with a backpack with zombie survival gear. I worked for Hyundai and I remember selling one.
Commissioned cars are NEEDED. Most cars I like, I want a wagon version of anyway. Even with the Lucid. Especially with the Lucid. So might a shop be able to make a wagon from the Gravity's rear door and the sedan? Imagine the Sapphire WAGON. Wide body, if you missed it. And handling well, according to some.
I'd consider lowering the Gravity, but dropping the roof won't work, glass is already low. Need to drop the door and everything. I love renders of S Class and EQS wagons. Just a bit bigger. Like a lowered R-Class, which to me isn't ugly.
I like that Doug hates the A-Class now when literally everyone from Europe told him it's an awful car from the start. It's a shitbox with Benz badge that was super popular because of the badge. The new A-Class is a MUCH better vehicle but even they have started to decline in quality.
That Italdesign Columbus... Just have a local shop build you one on 150 or 250 chassis? On a low floor Sprinter van chassis? I totally want to have it, but can't promise to always clean it out from takeaway wrappers. What a party bus. If it's more of a modern take...could be fine as well! I had an insulin spike watching Doug eat his 42nd white chocolate Reese's peanut butter cup
It's adding to his gut roll
It's like my uncle with cigarettes
For real, his physique is showing the result of all those sweets.
Diabetes could be knocking around the corner if he isn't careful.

New money Doug!
Doug just has an infectious, almost child like joy and enthusiasm for cars. Its just a genuine love for cars and what they are

Doug's the type of guy who can get a word in past Matt.
