I think its easy to look at Mang0 on the surface and make assumptions about him. But trust me, you don't become arguably the 1st or 2nd best player all time in a game as deep and complex as Melee and not have a very high IQ. This is why he is also good at Mafia and just says lots of smart life things on his stream.
