    would you please answer the weighted question in laymans terms, as to what would be dangerous or harmful levels to see on the meter?

    • @instrumentchoice
      @instrumentchoice  Рік тому

      You would take a reading on weighted mode if the concern of EMF is on the body. The standard mode will measure the actual electric and magnetic field from the area of concern. The standard mode will be used for reporting and testing of the instrument of concern.

    What should be the normal readings inside your home for each one? and what is the difference between standard and weighted?

      Hi Nat,
      Thanks for your question.
      Check out pages 5-6 of the user manual (www.trifield.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/tf2_owners_manual.pdf). Those pages detail both the Standard and Weighted Modes as well as EMF exposure limits.
      The FAQ page details helpful information on the subject too: www.trifield.com/faq/
      Hope this helps!

    will a router-wifi cage I've seen advertised on sites actually block harmful emissions and if so would you please recommend one that works? If there are any DIY types of things I can do with the fabric I've seen or foil I'd appreciate help in making the right choice.

      You can purchase products like paint, fabrics and films to help protect your home and yourself from potential harmful EMF. We don't have specific recomendations on these though as we don't have experience in blocking the EMF.

    What are the health consequences of being continually exposed to high RF readings or abnormal magnetic readings on the body?

    • @instrumentchoice

      Hi micman4278,
      Thanks for the enquiry, at present, we are only able to offer the meters that can facilitate measuring High RF and High EMF, but are unable to offer medical advice.
      For this, I would recommend reviewing ARPANSA which is a Government website, or utilise peer reviewed journal articles from Medical bodies.

    the scale is 1mw or 1000 mW? and dot is a thousand separator?

      Thank you for question. The range of the meter is up to 19.999 mW/m2 with a resolution of 0.001 mW/m2. The readings will be separated by a dot.

    what is weighted for?

    • @instrumentchoice
      @instrumentchoice  2 роки тому +1

      Thanks for your question.
      "The weighted mode is applicable for those concerned over the effect of EMF on the human body. The purpose for the weighted version is as follows: The amount of energy induced into living tissue from a 100 Hz frequency at 1000 V/m, would be twice as much over the same period as a 50 Hz frequency at the same 1000 V/m strength. A frequency weighted TriField meter will indicate that the 100 Hz signal is twice the level of the 50 Hz even though their actual strength was the same.
      The standard mode on the TriField EMF Meter measures the actual electric and magnetic field with a flat frequency response. For epistemological scientific applications, the standard frequency mode is applicable."

    Thanks for the video, but it still wasn't simple, as you describe. I bought one and so far it has pretty much been a waste of money. It's never consistent with itself. The only thing it has made me realize though is that nothing (copper, aluminum, so-called EMF blocking fabric, etc.) can block or reduce EMF.

      Aluminum foil works - you need to fully envelop the phone in a thin layer of aluminum foil. Do that and try calling your phone - it won’t ring because signal is blocked

      Aluminum foil only blocks the EF and some RF, not on the EMF.

    Why don't you explain that mG (milligauss) has to be converted to G (gauss) and that the actual normal level isn't less than 5 mG but less than 5 G? People are using this all wrong because of your misinformed video.

      Thank you for your enquiry on our UA-cam video about the Trifield TF2. With regards to this, in Australia Magnetic field levels are read in Milligauss as per Arpansa;
      www.arpansa.gov.au/understanding-radiation/radiation-sources/more-radiation-sources/electricity
      Can you confirm where you are seeing the conversion to Gauss? So that we can update the video if required as we want to ensure it is accurate.

      An AC field of 5 gauss (5000 milligauss) would be extremely unusual and very high. I've taken readings with various AC gaussmeters and rarely see over 10 milligauss except near walls where there's wiring inside, where it might be ~50 milligauss. I've never seen AC field as high as 5000 milligauss anywhere. BTW, the Earth field is around a half gauss (500 milligauss) in Australia, but that's DC, not AC. Big difference.
