  • Unless you were living under a rock you have noticed the explosion of teams in real estate over the last few years.
    In the US there are approximately 35,000 - 50,000 teams and in three years that number could skyrocket to 100,000!
    FACT: A functioning team will always out serve and out produce an individual.
    But not all teams are created equal!

    Tom, I love your channel. I need your advice, I am really good at BOTH of those marketing roles you just described and would rather just bring in the leads for a team. Debating if I should I get a real estate license? I had one in Florida for several years but Florida doesn’t have reprocity (can’t spell) with Texas. I feel I can use more creative- but ethical approaches to Marketing with out being licensed. I might consider getting licensed to give referrals to agents.

    Great video at just the right time for me as I have been restructuring my team. You just gave me the right definitions of what "was" and now what "is" in our set up and strategy. I'm proud to say I've got 2 current awesome assistants and am working on getting a licensed assistant but also setting up for more agents to join our HUB! :) THANKS!

      +Coach Tom Ferry Actually, I did my free call the other day with Cale and I'm just getting my decision together on which payment package for the Elite program I want to do. Likely doing the 6 month payment, but still love the idea of the 12/mo savings. I've been thinking the same thing as you in the video since I got in the business back in 2003 since I came from a corporate sales environment. I forwarded this to my team and to the managing brokers in my office.

    Thanks for the video! Any thoughts on the first steps to adding a person to a team? I am at a point I need a team but unsure of how to add another team member. My husband is our "operator" We just need someone to cover all of the leads we can not. Thanks for any thoughts :)

    • @TomFerry

      Start with finding the right kind of people that you would want on your team. Look for people who work hard and have that same drive for success that you and your husband have!

    Thanks for this video, I was concerned about joining a team as a new agent because I want to learn every aspect. How long do you think new agents should be on a team before starting my own team?

    • @TomFerry
      @TomFerry  7 років тому +1

      It depends a lot of different factors (past experience, markets, your timeline, etc.), but there is a whole lot you can learn being on a team. Having your own team is a great goal! Teams outperform individuals!

    Thanks +Coach Tom Ferry for surfacing some great ideas around team infrastructure. In a subsequent #tomferryshow I would love to see some of the compensation models you are aware of for each of the individual support roles. I know it will vary considerably due to region, but let's focus on SoCal :) #thanks

    What you are saying there is what it takes to run a business. Shouldn’t that be the job of the brokerage? It sounds like we have to split with the brokerage 30 or 40% plus the team. Something is off.

    • @kingwillie206
      @kingwillie206 3 роки тому

      1, It depends on the brokerage and 2, it depends your team split. Team members are being supplied leads in exchange for a smaller split and a team leader is running their own business under the umbrella of the brokerage.

    Teams only work in high sale dollar area’s, not in lower areas which is in MOST of the country. If you haven’t noticed, all people on these videos being interviewed are in big growing markets.. I’m more impressed with someone making it in a small to medium sized market than someone in Houston or Miami. No matter how you look at the numbers, this is not 100% accurate.

    Tom, you clearly state Artists make all the money if they hire an Operator. What is your advice for Operators? You can't really hire an Artist. Is that certain demise for the Operators?
