THis is one of my favorite figures from DC collectibles. I don't really like how oversize the New 52 Darkseid design is. IMO good villains don't need to look huge to be menacing. Still, love the sculpt and paint on this figure. And articulation is decent. Great shelf presence!!!

Now rumor has it that Todd McFarlane is coming out with the new Mega Fig Darkseid. I don't know just how many inches tall will he be. But this one is one big huge giant. 13 inches tall? Wow. I have the DC Essentials Darkseid. And he's is about close to are right at 12 inches tall. But this one on the video seems more articular than the one I have. I don't think the new Mega Fig one is not going to be as tall as this one. I might have to see if I can still get this one off of Amazon. I don't know if they'll still have him.
Not my kinda guy as I'm willing to spend a couple more bucks but for a greater figure however looks sick and badass as hell in its own right. Plus you narrated this video pretty sweet so respect. 😂👊🏽
Design is nice but Darkseid looks like an angry gorrilla that can't even properly sit on a toilet to save his life. Why would you design something so massive in size that nobody would not be able to afford. They didn't even add the Omega Beam effects and other added accessories to save this figure from look any more dumb. I would have prefer the Marvel Legends Sentinel because it feels more uprooted in scale than this figure alone. Alternative figures like Mezco or Storm Collectibles are better compact in size and articulation is what make this so much more appealing. Also, are you kidding me, DC Collectible couldn't add any body articulation separation between the chest and abs. The New 52 skew the line of what Darkseid should really look like as a character. To me, I see him more in the realms of the Superman Animated Series. Instead, we are given something more ugly and uproot in scale that doesn't apply what he suppose to look like anymore. A raging version of the Hulk with Armor.
These are very good points! I agree that it is just a big ugly piece of plastic with almost no articulation. I’ve been thinking about getting a Mezco version. I mostly like him because he looks good next to my other DC Collectibles Justice League.
