    I love how you teaching it really help me. I have some Chinese friends, they learning English so we understand each other, but English is not my native language so sometimes I don't understand. I start to learning it because I think it's important to understand each other and I think it's a beautiful language. Thank you very much. 🙂♥️

    What is difference between ba and ma?

    • @heartsofgoldenrod
      @heartsofgoldenrod 5 років тому

      azncooler ba is the number 8. Ma is like a “question mark” for yes/no questions.

  • @angelaroberts3563
    @angelaroberts3563 7 років тому

    Can someone pls explain why "ma" is a neutral tone, but pronounced like the first tone? I thought neutral tones are supposed to be in the middle of the vocal range. It seems here like Yangyang is saying "ma" in a high pitched tone

    • @LJ711B
      @LJ711B 7 років тому +1

      For the neutral tone pitch is not really important as long as you keep it short and soft.

    • @YoyoChinese

      +Yangyang Cheng dont we need to add "ma" in that sentence ?

    • @thomasz.6764
      @thomasz.6764 7 років тому +3

      Prince Add Usually if you want to ask "can you speak Chinese", you can say either "nǐ huì shuō zhōng wén ma (你会说中文吗) or "nǐ huì bú huì shuō zhōng wén (你会不会说中文)". For the latter one, it literally means "Can you speak Chinese or not?", in this case, you can't add "ma" after this sentence, otherwise it sounds really weird for Chinese people. Additionally, the latter question sounds a little rude, so the former one is recommended
