    Agreed, thanks for sharing. I've noticed in recent years that they have come a long ways with metal siding...not nearly as much the commercial utility look any look any more. Some of these new office complexes really look nice with styles of metal, masonry and color coordination.

    You are correct on that. I have thought about many times, why don't more people use metal siding. The reason being it is cheap, easy to install, and lasts a long time. However, many people do not like it because of aesthetics.

    How would this do on a house in Alaska? We have a stucco home that received damage on an outer wall from last November’s 7.0 earthquake. Husband hasn’t repair it yet since he has no idea how to repair stucco. I think this would be a great alternative to use and border the entire outside of house with it. What are your thoughts? And it should be easy to removed to repair any further wall damage from any future earthquakes, right?

  • @King-2077
    @King-2077 2 роки тому +1

    I wanted metal because of longevity and the modern metal sidings nowadays looks so food especially the wood look with rich wood textures and colors but i decided not to do it because of 1.) the cost of those metal sidings installation is triple the cost, because it takes longer to install and additional cost is the materials you put underneath the sidings to insulate it, metal heats up fast and can get really cold, it’s not something im willing to pay on a house that I will sell in the future. 2.) Steel siding tends to make loud noises when it expands and contract.

    Matt Risinger we went with all metal roofing and siding on our DIY home build here. ua-cam.com/video/A0tE36wCl3U/v-deo.html One of the challenges I found was the limited ways to deal with wall penetrations such as having an outdoor spigot, light, or outlet. I was looking for something more than just 'caulk it' as a solution. Got creative with some 3/4" watertight bulkhead connectors for the outlets and got some rubber grommets to fit the spigot opening. Love your videos, keep up the great work.
