I almost never post on UA-cam, but ... THANK YOU!!! I was going nuts with my Smooth 4 already always being tilted by 2 degrees to the left which really looked ugly when having straight lines in video and even though it was "only" 2 degrees it was extremely noticeable on straight lines. This tutorial solved my problem! If Zhiyun is reading this I still hoped the motor-balancing would work out of the box.
This actually helped tremendously with my Smooth 4! The horizon line has been a bit off lately and this totally fixed it, thanks! It also seems like the Android up as of its most recent update is ACTUALLY improving a bit! So far I've loved the gimbal, but the app has been rubbish, time to take it for a test drive now!

I have always horizontal angle bit off, even after starting on flat surface, re-balanced phone (Galaxy S9+ etc.). This video with manual correction helps. I hope the settings will prevail all of turn on/off procedures.

Yes the 6 Axis calibration tutorial would be awesome for the Crane 2. The horizon on the Crane 2 is off. the instruction manual is really weird. Esepcailly step 2.

I was able to set my horizon which was only off by 0.5, and that worked well. However is there a graceful way to get back to pro mode? I had to force close the ZY Play app and power cycle the gimbal.

Took me some time to get thru the menus. Is there a way to change the language of the app? The german translations and abbreviations are sub-optimal and hard to read on the buttons.

My smooth 4 since i unboxed, in horizontal level always tilt to right aide around 20 degree. When u go vertical it comes back to center.

Actually when you connect to smooth 4, it will turn to the pro camera interface. You can restart the app and reconnect to the gimbal if you meet this situation.

Balance the gimbal before turn it on.
I have a question with the smooth 3 or 4 doesn’t really matter. Because phones have and internal stabilizer this causes a small shake when taking videos. Is there anything that can be done with the app for this?

Zhiyun-tech I have sound turned off. And I still get the shutter sound. I had a Note 5 at first which wasn't a supported phone. I upgraded to an 8+ which is a supported phone. But still get shutter sounds.

After a while my Smooth4 always makes the phone hanging down... any idea why? Also it doesnt react sometimes to my pressing input on the gimbal... no idea whats wrong

Tom Kayodoubleu has to do with your cell phone settings, have to turn off WiFi and cellular.

Hello I have a question. Hopefully someone can help. After my smooth 4 is in standby mode, as I’m setting up my shot, all of the sudden it goest to sleep almost breaking the glass on my iPhone X. Is anyone else having this happen? Or know why it’s doing that? Thank you

Has anyone been having issues with the gimbal going limp after 1 minute or so? I literally JUST got it out of the box and was checking out the settings with gimbal on the tripod when it looks like the stabilizers gave out. If I turn off the gimbal and turn it back on it works, again for about a minute before it goes limp, but the camera still works.

Thanks for the video. Unfortunately, calibration didn't fix the issue of my smooth 4 causing jitters in the footage. I did a review on the smooth 4 a while back and the ZY Play app was, it seems , not compatible with my phone. It severely downgraded the quality of the footage that my phone is capable of capturing without the app. I took a lot of test footage and in my review i posted a side by side comparison of the data that clearly shows how the app is ruining the potential footage. Please advise on how to fix this if it's possible. Both the firmware of the gimbal and the ZY Play app were up to date My phone is the Huawei P10+.

Most of our smooth 4 has no jitter problem, since Smooth 4 is a very stable stabilizer, could you please go to the after-sales place to find the exact problem, for example, replacing your wronged motor part?
