    Former nyc kid living in germany, and I find Butterbrotpapier is very similar to deli paper. You can get it in various ways, either on a roll or in folded sheets (Zuschnitte) or even as little paper bags intended for sandwiches at grocery stores or on amazon.

      I am also an American who lives in Austria and Butterbrotpapier I always have stocked for my Gelli prints and would never want to be without it!

    First time viewer and I subscribed before the end of the video. Thank you for an informative video, very clear and concise. I just wanted to let you know that Jackson’s sell a deli paper, and on the same note, I have read that deli paper and glassine are the same thing. And if you want it to be archival, use acid free glassine paper. I’ve got some of each but haven’t done enough with them to have an opinion. I recently discovered something called interleaving paper and it looks very similar to your Abaca tissue. Also, I am very interested in your collograph with crackle paste, and can’t wait to try that! Thanks again for a helpful bit of information. Just as side note, I live in Canada and I think things might be a bit different here than both the US and the UK, I definitely know that it’s harder to find things and then when you do find it, it tends to cost more.

    Just looked on Handmade.UK and it’s only £3 for 50 sheets. Will definitely try it out.

      I still haven't completed the composition one. I do now have viewfinders! I just didn't want to be using a Stanley knife on mountcard. What a wuss

    Thank you, this is so clear! I'm wanting to use the printed tissue paper in my work. I was wondering what printing inks you used? I have akua intaglio inks, but was wondering if acrylic gell medium would work on top of them when collaging because they have oil in them?

    • @sallyhirst3358
      @sallyhirst3358 2 роки тому +2

      Simple answer is Yes! Akua are honey and soy based, so once dry they are fine. Akua can 'wake up' when wetted so often I will seal them with a light gel coat, let dry then off you go.

    Wow, this is so useful. I’m so inspired to try some of these. Can you recommend glues you’d use for those transparent papers? Thanks so much :) xx

      apologies missed this! gloss medium if lots of layers, matte medium if just one. the matte can fog if built up.

      Unfortunately, importing from the UK into Portugal is very expensive. Can’t get Carnival here. I can get Japanese tissue used to repair old documents and books.

    You can buy waxed deli wrap paper on Ebay, around £6 for 100 sheets A4

    I’m fascinated by your papers but many of the links on your website are no longer functional. FYI . As someone who posts to UA-cam occasionally I understand that it’s hard to keep up with things like this. I thought you might want to know.
