  • This video is part on my online monotype course but I wanted to share it as there is some valuable info in it!
The course I mention is one of three courses aimed at artists using gel plates for printmaking.
More info can be found on my website ..

FYI Bristol board, also known as Bristol paper, originated in Bristol, England around 1800. It's named after Frederick Hervey, the 4th Earl of Bristol, who was an art collector and associated with visiting cards and the fine arts. Early Bristol boards were often made by local stationers.

thanks a lot. was wondering about copy paper if it's safe to use if you want to sell the work. As you say it should be fine because its covered by matte medium and it shoud take a LOT of time to age..

Copy Paper is fine, new production processes prevent it from browning with age.
