The only thing I wish you added was Jamie's "don't play to me, play through me" halftime speech and him turning around and seeing the team paying attention to him, and the look on his face. Other than that, perfect edit.
roy hugging jamie after him hitting his own father. i ugly cried for like two weeks every time i remembered. Jamie's arc gave us so much development. we closed his story on a great note. We saw him grow, evolve to become better, and he had his idol helping him through it. His teammates became his brothers. The biggest found family story we got.
The small bit we get to see of Jamie's dad in rehab nearly makes me cry because it's such a 180 of what he was like previously. He's not boasting or yelling. It's a very quiet pride in his son where you can see he almost tears up a bit. I'm glad the show put that in there.
What a wonderfully written character. A confused boy, full of flaws, who grows into a beautiful man. Jamie, Nate, Roy - all of them at different stages, getting out of their own way.
“…because your right foot was kissed by god, the boys look up to you.” parallel this to “you gotta stop going to me, and start playing through me”, where jamie realizes that the boys really do look up to him, and that he is loved for who he is, not just his football skills. beautiful edit, gold stars all around!

Jamie is absolutely incredible as a character. The depth he provides is something quite spectacular as his mindset shifts from 'I'm the one' to 'We are one'. God damn... I turn 50 this year... my dad (who was a life long struggling substance abuser and alcoholic) passed when I was 19 and it took me years to be okay with it. 6:07 hit hard... "...you're giving that to yourself." That's powerful stuff.
Quite a few lines have stuck with me from this show but the one from Higgins about loving our parents for who they are and forgiving them for who they aren't is truly special. In my view this show has done an exceptional job of showing the nuances that exist in life and that sometimes things can be both good and bad. If anyone watches Ted Lasso and doesn't tell me that at least parts of the show truly resonate with them or their life I would not believe them.
In the beginning he and Rupert ran a tight race for the most unlikable. Living in the sphere of Ted Lasso and that amazing locker room saved him from the destructive forces that took his dad. As it turned out, his redemption pulled his father onto the same path. I know he's fictional, but you can't help but root for that. FYI. Rupert never got the memo and his path led to his downfall. All that arrogance and anger will eat you alive.
full agree with you, but at the same time im happy they ended it well and didnt run it off until they ran out of ideas. Knew they made something great and stopped there

Actually reminds me of the relationship my mom and I had so when I saw that on screen it solidified that connection I had with the character because to see a relationship with a mom that pure and true is beautiful and yeah I miss my mom and hope this isn't the last of Jamie Tartt.

I like how his hair changes with how his character changes At first his hair is up like a spike in the front when he’s a jerk Then when he starts to change his hair goes back into a straight hair line Then when he’s fully changed he gets Jack Grealish hair

Good video edit here. This is one of the best growth everyone's seen on the show. We all love Jamie. Bummer that the show's ended with three seasons, but it has definitely delivered one hell of a finale. Gave everyone a proper closure.
What really moves me about Jamie's arc is his reconciliation with his father. Such arcs always move me. Because I'm so jelaous of people who grew up with their fathers. People who played catch with them. Who got the birds and the bees talk. Who got their backs by their pops'. Cuz I didn't. He was always around, but my parent are divorced and seeing him felt more like a chore than something pleasant. And he spiralled into booze few years back. I tried to reconnect with him, many times throughout the years, but it always ended the same way, and lately I stopped lying to myself and believing him that he will change. I really do wish I had a dad, but I did not, and I will not. Yeah, there is this Higgins line "I learned to love my father for what he is, and forgive him for what he isn't", but I just dont have that in me. He can be sorry, but he said that many, many times. And I decided to cut him from my life, cuz I just feel healthier that way. Or so it seems. But sometimes, this wave of emotions just hits me, and its hard to withstand it
you know what i love the most? that Ted subbed Jaime off after Jamies celebration. because before the game Jaime promised to Teds son that the goal will ba tributed for him
Character development. If anyone paid any attention to, Jaime and Roy came around. Christ Almighty: If we could each aspire to develop into the absolute best versions of ourselves.
