I really enjoyed the seminar guys! I've been slowpitch jigging less than a year now and fell in love with it. Started out with a Shimano Ocea jigger f custom 2001NRHG, but now I have a Studio ocean mark blue Heaven OGM BHL50VII hi S2T-BG since I love it.
That’s awesome, it’s great to see new people joining the addiction!! Feel free to reach out if you ever need anything, we hope to share rail with you one day
I use tranx 301hg . Love that reel. Modified if with a drag clicker. ❤ Only thing u have to add is an extra drag washer . It will solve the drag issue becoming loose .
Great video guys! I'm going out for my first "serious" slow pitch jigging tomorrow and I'm watching this while finishing my Friday at work. I've picked up a lot of great info already and I'm only 30 minutes into the seminar! Definitely subscribing and will keep an eye out for future seminars. Keep up the great work! If I ever get the chance to come to your neck of the woods I'll look up your shop to say hi!
Tristan and Rob, Thanks for putting this SPJ seminar on UA-cam for those of us who couldn't make it to Florida. Tons of great information! I'm trying to gather all the intel on SPJ before heading to the Maldives soon. Appreciate you guys sharing your knowledge. Tristan, I'm trying to get on team PR knot🤣🤣🤣. It definitely takes some getting use to. Getting the right tension seems to be the key. I've done the FG for a while but prefer the PR for sleek profile.
Thank you for the support! Means a lot. We have a video on how to do PR knot and also we sell one of the best bobbins in the market. Definitely very important to have good knots
Very informative and helpful thank you. Quick question, I recently purchased a Penn Fathom 2 25nld and an Ocean Legacy Elementus deep 150g-500g for slow pitch jigging Blackfin and schoolie size yellowfin tuna(20-80lbs). What size PE braid would you go with and leader? Fishing out of the Gulf of Mexico near rigs where tuna are at 150-300 feet of water.
Greetings from Colorado. Been looking at different techniques to land the trophy lakers out here. After watching this, I feel like I need to move to Florida! haha
Hello, I am experiencing an issue with the bobbin knot. Every time I singe it, the monofilament or fluorocarbon line slips out. Could you please advise me on what I might be doing incorrectly? Thank you for your assistance.
@@dannypann5060 make sure you wrap your line under tension. The bobbin shud not spin freely but there shud be abit of tension upon wrapping your leader. Tight enough when you spin, it wil wrap tight around the leader and not get loose. make sure you wraps are 1inch or longer. Hope this helps.
@@bijiaz3168 dont need to buy new expensive micro jigging set up. i personaly prefer using my spinning reel. You can use your 6 to 7 med or ML moderate action spinning inshore set up. Heck you can even use your ur bass set up. 10 to 20lb braid line. 20 to 50lb leader.
So I think he said you CANT use a spinning reel for slow pitch.and that what I was looking to buy a spinning slow pitch rod. What's the criteria for being able to use slow pitch spinning? I'm fishing mostly 10-80 gram In no Korean than 60 feet of California hb ca waters from a kayak. Should I be fine?😅
The experience and the passion of these guys 😍👏 great info!!
There is so much passion and knowledge in the room! Thank you for watching
A master class! Great to hear the Squirrel give some wisdom. Tristan is VERY experienced as well. Thanks guys!
Many more to come! Thank you Bryan for watching
I hope you guys can make a series of videos on how your different kind of jigs moves under water. Great info keep it up!

Definitely need the PR knot for high end Japanese rods. They have smaller eyes.

You guys helped me get started on SPJ with some excellent info thanks.
Great video, very informative!
Excellent education video 👌 What knot would you recommend to connect two 300 yards JBraid lines to fill reel ?

I would recommend 20lb braid and 50lbs fluoro

Great video guys. Did I hear Rob say he uses an electric reel? I’m telling Benny. 😀. Is
new rod a solid blank?
Haha that’s funny! Tributes are hollow
On the reels do you recommend two speed. Thinking I will buy a solid rod with accurate valiant 300n as my starter into slo pitching.
Yes it could be beneficial, we have a great solid rod: jygprofishing.com/collections/rods/products/foundation-solid-carbon-slow-pitch-jigging-rod
What is your favorite knot for leader to lure connection ?
PR knot
Main line to Leader - PR Knot
Leader to solid ring or swivel - AG Chain Knot
Both are 100% line connection..
Thank you@@ShinkiZer0

Wow, that's steep $599. Does it come with any lifetime warranty?

Arent the solid rods just normal rods with foam core?

Yes, if you are fishing shallow spinning can be very effective
@@jygprofishing thanks very informative video I enjoyed it.
