The best explanation and presentation of FE rocker arm assembly I've seen. Thank you!

Great job explaining these rockers. I appreciate you taking the time to educate us. Very generous of your time and skill.

The non-adjustable for my FE390 build would be perfect. Thanks for supporting the FE

Great description of these. Besides the T&D Race setup, do any of the other setups requiring milling aluminum heads (Edelbrock, in particular) for proper alignment? This is something that keeps coming up in different threads/build videos, and seeing how popular those heads are, I can't see why these companies wouldn't make a kit that works with them out of the box.

Have you ever had the chance to use Dove Manufacturing rockers?

Can you explain proper adjuster extension in picking correct length pushrods. Something about the angle between pushrod and the line drawn through adjuster intersection and rocker center? On seat and 1/2 lift and full lift?

Do you find any additional power attributed to the roller tip or the needle bearing fulcrums?

What’s lash measurements with adjustable rollers on a 390? .016 intake .018 exhaust on hot engine?

If I keep the stock 1967 mustang 390 FE cam, with solid lifters, and change to the Lykins non adjustable roller rockers, is it really that much trouble?

Great video Brent! I'll be ordering a set of your non adjustable roller rockers real soon. I've already got a brand new set of aftermarket shafts, do you sell the billet stands and spacers or would I be better served to order them directly from Precision Oil Pumps? Thanks!

I'm sure you have seen all the videos on UA-cam of so many people breaking rocker arms. I don't think that they are spacing them correctly for the expanding of the aluminum . I have ran some cheap roller rockers for years on my 390 and I'm not easy on them either and never broke a rocker. If you would be interested or have time in talking about proper spacing between rocker arms. Just a thought thanks

When I was a teenager I had a 62 Galaxie 500 with a 406 motor. One night I had taken my girlfriend home and was going home myself at a high rate of speed. My car developed a miss 2 miles from home. The next morning I started searching for the miss. What I eventually found was a broken push rod on the exhaust valve on cylinder 8. After that I had to replace the left head gasket every week.

its the adjuster being out too far that overloads things.

In your opinion do you think springs that come with AFR heads with 155 seat pressure and 450 open pressure would be enough spring for these type of large aluminum roller tip rockers? Cam is hydraulic 246/ 262, @.050, .642/.642 lift? Valves are 2.165/ 1.60

I'm currently running a set of Harland Sharps needle bearing setups. The problem I'm having is the end stands are flexing, in fact both shafts have broke at the first stand stud. Might have to switch to T&D.

Harland Sharp has excellent customer service in my experience. Maybe they can help you out in some way.

I have the T&D set up. It has broke shafts twice. Each time a nut backed off and allowed flex in the shaft. I founs when I switched to different nuts never had a problem since. Only ran 2 seasons nbut so for no issues. Might try to see if that helps you.

Do your end stands surround the end of the very end of the shaft? As in outside of the end rocker arm. This usually prevents the end of the rocker shaft from snapping off due to high spring pressure.

I do have a couple questions for you Brent. One is is it possible to convert yours to an adjustable and is that a possibility it is available that way in the future. Ans one more is , How much spring pressure do you feel the POP stuff is good for?

do you know what ford used on 427 lemans engines they ran over 7000 rpm for 24hrs thanks

They used factory adjustable rockers but they were also dealing with 1960’s cam technology and valve spring pressures.

Like the video how can I get in touch with you about some parts of a 410fe drag racing engine?

Why would anyone in their right mind use the stock rocker shafts and stands with aftermarket rockers? The factory unsupported shaft ends are THE weak point in the design. ALWAYS use a rocker shaft assembly that surround the end of the shaft.

Technology has moved from the ridiculous spring pressures discussed in this video....they shot Kennedy and landed on the moon....move forward.
Conical springs and lighter components can run well into 8000 rpm with spring pressures under 450# springs. Do some homework....

My favorite part of having a UA-cam channel is when guys like this call me out, while they sit in their recliner and read about other people building engines. It's always an ego boost when you get to tell a professional engine builder to do their homework, isn't it? Make you want to puff your chest out and feel good about yourself?
I have ran 8000 rpm with those kind of spring loads. But not every engine is an LS and not every engine has lightweight valves. Not every engine is a street engine. Not every engine is a hydraulic roller. Not every engine is a Cup engine with 6mm hollow stem titanium valves and non-adjustable rockers.
Maybe you should do some homework before you come across like you need to take me to school.

Love your work Brent. Hopefully I can support your business further down the road oo optimising my 390. I'll be in touch or maybe even come and visit from Australia if I can make it happen. Thanks for the education on my classic engine. I really want to get her singing 😁
