1. The bass: I cranked my EHB1005F's mid, turned down all high and low boost. Also I'm only using rear pickup. 2. The amp sim: I using Amplitude's Ampeg sim (SVT-PRO). In the amp, I cranked the mid also and turned the bass knob at 3 o'clock. I didn't kill the treble but didn't crank it either, just put it at 10 o'clock. No ultra Hi or Lo buttons were turned on. The bass cabinet is SVX-500. I'm not sure what real life cabinet this was based on.

i suggest you switch the pikcups on this bass. it has lots of potential but the ibanez bartolinis are very muffled sounding
