Never been thro' corryveckan, but been thro' the grey dog in a 16 feet rib with 60hp engine. You've got some gojones to do that round trip sir. Well done you.
I don't think I've seen this video before as I like your videos so much I always give you a like and it does not allow you like again. I spoke to about going here once in early 24 and one of the worse summers for a very long time. For me the waves where too big for my honwave t38ie3. You told me I should of gone and if I don't try those wave I will never get experience and as long as everything is tied up tight I would be alright. Watching this video make it on my list for 2025, Thanks for sharing Donny Ray K UK YNWA.
Thank you Donny for a wonderful video. i sailed pass the Corryvreckan when i was a passenger on the Shetland Trader merchant ship over 20 years ago.Best ever Holiday .
Fantastic video Donny, love that area, not been through the corryvreckan / grey dogs on my own boat yet but have done so with Seafari a couple of times on springs for added fun….your trip has made me excited for the better weather and conditions 👍
Thanks for the video. I've wanted to see the Corryvreckan ever since I lived in Lochgilphead, over 40 years ago. Iam now 61,in Yorkshire,I think this video is the closest I,ll ever get.
Awww,,its well worth a visit if you get up this way again alan Seafari do trips through it from Easdale and they often go in it when I stay away..but their tour boat has two 300HP outboards ..so nothing to them 😀
Lovely video again. Nice drone views of the islands. It looked a bit exciting skimming across the whirlpools. I see that Inveraray Pier opened last weekend. Thought that I might see you in the footage!
Like many people i feel privileged to see your escapedes up n doon the waters with scenic views of landscape inclusive, However, that trip had my jam tart racing and worried I'd do something childish when i saw they frightening tides around you both. Lots of thanks for original product with a birds eye view all for free to enjoy. Great stuff.
Thanks rha4374 ..it can be a daunting place at the wrong tide ..but its not so bad as Im local and know it well..however I still treat it with a lot of respect ..it doesnt give second chances 😀
@@donnywilcox Hiya Donny, Thanks for taking the time to reply, and better you than myself in these waters. Did you manage to do the rib run last week? I just had a call from my son Calum to say how much he enjoyed the day but unfortunately due to fog the Sunday was cancelled and he returned home a tad earlier. Perhaps I'll have to borrow a rib for next year, and I'm still struggling to renovate my wee boat mainly down to the costs of materials nowadays so I'm just doing it grudgingly slow progress. I'll look forward to the rib run video when it's out on UA-cam. Thanks again.Robert.
@@rha4374 Hi again Robert..I have just uploaded the ERR video ,,so you can see what my camera saw and see for yourself. It was a great run on Saturday ..just a shame it was misty ..but the flat sea made up for it 😀
Many thanks for that superb video, Donny! I loved the drone footage of Belnahua in particular as it brought back memories of me exploring there when I was a young boy...many many years ago.
Really enjoyed this one Donny, we sail this area many time over a season and great to see it from your perspective. Never been through the Corryvreckan so good to see it up close 👍⛵️🏴
Thanks Frank ..hope we were not upsetting the sail boats last weekend ..78 RIBS hammering down the sound of Jura ..that video is now on line so check it out too 😀
Pick your tides used to take family to cullipool on luing for our holls took our zodiac through the grey dog and corry always picked the tides and it was just a trip we liked to finish with afternoon tea on garvellachs still remember the beehive cells and the little head stone. But in the seventies and eighties did a lot of paddling and camping around Jura, Islay Mull etc with the kayaks we would take on the choppy bits doing pop outs in the grey dog, still got the slides great times with a bunch from Durham kayak club ( where have we all gone now)
Hi donny, Are these boats given to you or do you buy out of choise I only ask because I am looking for one around £12000 about 3.5m Just wondering which is best for my money Or are they all made in the same factory in china😉😁👍

Brilliant wee video. Definitely got the good weather. Hopefully many more to come.
Thanks jim..yup..weather has improved and Im doing lots of boating and camping so plenty more videos to come 😀
Great to see the boat untroubled by the tricky tidal conditions!
Yup..its a fine wee boat oldgittarist ..and will handle rougher water than I can ..but we get around no problem and thats what matters 😀
WOW. Stay Safe!! But for videos like this, one day this beautiful landscape and this history will be gone replaced by changing tides and moving earth.
Brilliant again Donny, thanks for sharing your adventures.
Thanks Neil ..appreciated 😀
Another great video Donny. Many thanks
Thanks again bob..appreciated 😀

Hello Donny, and thanks for another exciting video. What trailer does your friend use for his T38 IE3. As I'm after one for my T38. Thanks Steve 👍
Hi Steve ..he sold his outfit ..but it was a homemade trailer ..flat board and bunks ..hope that helps :-D
Thanks Donny. Im still after one like your aluminium Hull, just trying to find out the best way to store one lol. Best wishes Steve 👍
yeahhhh at last I have seen a fish from the drone footage, 5:58 a white looking thing.
Unless it was a seal.
Pretty hairy going through the Corryvreckan! Do you have a kill chord on the engine in case you fall out?
Life Jacket..Kill Cord ..VHF ..PLB and a crate of guinness always at hand and in use ..get no second chances as sea stuart 😀
Hi donny,
Are these boats given to you or do you buy out of choise
I only ask because I am looking for one around £12000 about 3.5m

Or are they all made in the same factory in china😉😁👍
