I’m sad, the conversations between Ghaul’s Nightmare and Caiatl: I thought Ghaul would be prideful, arrogant, but after she cleansed his spirit I actually felt sad that Ghaul couldn’t have lived to enjoy the peace with the Guardians.
It straight up says the nightmare is dependent upon caiatals perception of ghaul. As she outgrows him the nightmare changes to reflect that. There is no guarantee the real ghaul would have seen reason.
@@kylemclaren617True but we also see in the campign he seems more interested in earning the Light’s Favor versus taking it while the Nightmare seems to think what Caital has done is conquest. The fact that no one talks about the consul He was important in this season as this is about calus, ghaul and caiatl (in exception to other people like eris, crow and zavala) Consul was the reason ghaul led an armada to shatter the last city because consul taught him about the traveler and it's light when ghaul was just an orphan and young. Edit: also, the consul created and led the midnight coup but he had to find others like caiatl and ghaul to overthrow calus for being a bad emperor He could've at least become a nightmare in calus' mind(duality dungeon) because the two of them are rivals against each other. Maybe consul will reappear next season as a nightmare or just coming back to life like eramis did Idk
I know this is over a year old but Eramis wasn't dead. She was just frozen by stasis. The Consul was killed by Ghaul. Meaning he's dead, not coming back unless touched by the light.
I really like Caiatl's arc in this season. If Crow was reconciliation with ones self and Zavala was learning to find forgiveness in ones self (yes, I said "ones self" twice), then Caiatl is liberation of choice. Crow made me feel like he was able to make peace with Uldren, learn from the good and the bad of the man who used to pilot his body. Instead of fighting with Uldren, Crow decided that he could work with him and be one. For him and others, it feels like that the other half of him have joined together as one. Zavala made me think on how the past can weigh someone down if they do not realize they are not at fault for something they could not control. It's about learning that, as Zavala's late wife said, "You can only apologize for something that is your fault." By accepting the past and knowing that events that were out of your control are not your fault and never will be. But Caiatl resonates with me for some reason. I suppose the reason is her declaration that Caiatl has founded a new Cabal and made new traditions, ones that the people of the past could never approve of and she doesn't need to have it. It feels liberating, especially with the declaration. Her arc is about saying exactly what she said to Ghaul, "The one ways are dead, Dominus. I forged a new Cabal in my image. It does not require your approval," and decide for yourself. This was a great season for narrative purposes and how our characters can move forward.

So, apparently for Caiatl, all she has to do is stab her nightmare, and it's exorcised? WHY WON'T IT WORK WITH ME?! WHAT AM I DOING WRONG?!?!
You need the moment to be dramatic.
Grass is every where that's why
It's not the act, but the symbolism. It meant the same to Caiatl as Crow extending a hand to Uldren.
Stab harder
Wait her sword actually stabs people I thought it was just a cosmetic.
May be reskinned version of the cabal gladiator weapon in game
Ngl i might have to commit genocide towards countless races for loot and get that sword

Caiatl's sword doesn't look very good at being stabby, I wonder how she impaled that scorn captain
Sheer muscle and brute strength
Bro she's cabal, she eats the very mountains between Zavala's legs!
Well it’s really durable
And imagine if a truck was living person and stab you with said sword
Looks more like it was slashed underneath and the teeth on the blade caught the scorn’s ribcage.
