Living only 4 miles from St Bees I walked the coast to coast in 2016, as it’s raining hard here in Whitehaven I’m enjoying your day 1 in the sunshine here on UA-cam.

Can you let me know how the weather and temperatures were? I want to go back and fill in a couple of stages, and I don’t know the best time to do it.

I love that your hiking adventures have branched out from the Caminos. There is so much to see and experience out there.

We are trying to mix Caminos and other trails. Do you have suggestions?

Beautiful! I absolutely love the English countryside. I know England can be harsh in the winter, but wow, is it beautiful in the summer!

Yes. We had no idea that it would be so beautiful. We'll definitely go back and do more hiking in the UK.

Love you walking with all the animals! Looks beautiful and added to my list😉. Thanks for sharing your experience.

This is a really good trail. Book lodging early!

Next year! I heard it was super primitive and challenging, but looks great. I’m walking the St James Way from Reading to Southampton, UK and then flying to A Coruña/Ferrol to do the Inglés in mid-June ‘24. Booked the Ferrol Parador off your video 😉. Can’t wait for next installment. Thanks again 😊

@@Maryann110 That sounds amazing! We'll be doing the Norte, so we're flip-flopping Caminos.

I’ll be here in San Sebastián mid August and September. Would love to walk with you or just meet up if you’re walking then. 😊

@@Maryann110 Our dates are limited by Molly's school and cross country summer training. We'll be starting the Norte in late May and finishing in late June. Have you done the Camino San Salvador?

The meat pie in Cleator is worth timing your hike so you get there before noon!

Hi, I'm greatly enjoying your videos! Thanks very much for putting them together, I know it's a lot of work. I do have a quick question. For this walk, and your upcoming West Highlands Way walk, did you use a tour company to book your accommodations and to transport any large bags between hotels or did you plan everything yourself and carry everything in your packs? I seem to recall that on your Camino hike you planned and booked everything yourself and occasionally had your heavier stuff sent forward by a local company. Again, thanks very much for your videos! Mike

I booked our accommodations, and the three of us shared one transported bag. We used Coast to Coast Packhorse for the service. They were very good. We will make a video with the details when the welling videos are finished. Those videos take longer, so we need Molly’s track season to end to have the time to make them.

Will the final video show a little picture of what Molly knitted?

We're still waiting for her to knit anything from this wool, but the hat I wore on the Pilgrims Way was one of her projects.

4:33 So far, anything except Scafell I knew about England has been or seemed flatter than this.
When CSL crossed the Irish Sea, he was horrified how flat England was (he had grown up in Antrim). It must have been a delight for him to see this or similar landscapes!

    • @staceyandmollypilgrims

The following days were even steeper. The Lake District was one of the prettiest places that I've ever been - of course the amazing weather helped a lot.

      @@staceyandmollypilgrims Indeed.
In some other kinds of weather, I think CSL would have suggested the scenery was suggesting giants to him.
