@@CaminoProvisions it was a life changing experience filled with lots of time for introspection and reflection. I walked from SJPDP to Logroño. Returning in 2026 and plan on resuming in Logroño and walking to Santiago. Thanks for your videos.
@@reyvaldes611 I’m very glad you had such a good experience. We keep gaining lessons as we reflect on our Caminos. That pilgrim spirit stayed with us from our first walk in 2007. We are grateful. Buen Camino to you, and also, Ultreia et Suseia!
También son muy hermosos los Pirineos de Aragón, mucho más altos y agrestes. Y los de Cataluña por Gerona. Verdes y frondosos bosques. Gracias por sus oraciones. 😄☺🤗🇪🇸
Just found your channel! I love your videos! When I crossed the Pyrenees it was foggy, rainy and cold. So it is nice to experience it through your videos! What kind of camera did you use to film? The footage is amazing!
Joey, thanks so much for your kind words! Back in 2007 I carried an old school SLR (remember how big they were back then?!) AND a small Sony video camcorder! SO HEAVY! Each trip we made I downsized my camera fro the weight. On this trip I used my iPhone 12 Pro Max for all the photos and videos, and to make these videos in iMovie, too. It's amazing what you can capture and do with phone/cameras these days. You do have to set the settings to capture the largest photo file, and be able to offload your photos and videos to the Cloud or a storage device. I used the Cloud.
The taxi from Pamplona to SJPP was around €130. There is a bus, but the time didn’t work for us, and the one for the day we arrived was already full. Yes, there is another place called Borda. It was full, or “completo.” We talked to a couple of pilgrims who stayed there and liked it.
I just finished 8/31/2023! I remember that first day well! 😂
Yes! It is challenging for us
Great video, I will be doing the same beginning on 1 October 2023. Good advice to listen to your body and not push it.
Buen Camino!
Very inspiring, I will begin my first Camino on September 17th from Porto.
@@allenannett5534 yay! That is very exciting. We love Porto!
Thank you for this wonderful video and thank you for praying as you go.
It was a privilege to pray. Glad you enjoyed the video!
Muchas gracias for my RE-living our Camino across the Pyrenees!
Glad you enjoyed it! It’s a beautiful walk!
Your video has been inspiring to me. I will start my Camino from SJPDP on June 6. Thanks for sharing your experience and thoughts. Buen Camino! 👍🏼🙏🏼

What time of year did you start from SJPP? My wife and I are 70 and this looks like an excellent idea of yours
September 4, and we are about 50 miles from Santiago.😊
We started walking on September 4
How much does the taxi shuttle cost please? Ad I believe there is one further. Alburgue past Orisson called A Borda?

@@helenvanwagenen8298 I was referring to the cost of the taxi from The virgin of Orisson statue to SJPP and back the next morning. Thanks
Ah, sorry! One way was about 20 € one way
Did you reserve the taxi in advance when traveling from Pamplona to SJPP?
When you reached Biakorri did you call for a taxi or did you make arrangements in advance?
Do you think it is safe for a woman to walk alone? I am 70 years old.
I would do it, and others have. It suits a lot of people. 😊
Thank you....@@CaminoProvisions
Did you have to show proof of vaccination?
Spain requires proof of vaccination within 9 months of your arrival. There was no check crossing into France to get to St Jean.
This has now been lifted
