I just switched shafts at the end of last season and it's made a world of difference. I went with the Tensei white xtra stiff and it's made a world of difference. Same Cobra F9 head, but the shaft changed everything. I don't believe in buying the latest and greatest all the time either. But 15 years is a long time for tech to come along!
I just had a fitting for my woods, I went from regular shafts to extra stiff and I can’t believe the difference in dispersion. I actually lost a little bit of distance on my absolute best hits but not very much and over all I’m gaining big distance on average. ( from Taylormade M2 to Srixon zx5 mkii)

Amen to that dude, I was playing with Pingi10 irons from 2010, the Titleist t100's I wanted were gonna be £1100 for the irons, I got some 3 year old minters in my specs (+1/2 inch and 2 degrees up) for £450 and dropped a couple of hundred quid into lessons

Yeah if you're using clubs more from earlier than 2010 theres a big difference to be had. I just got back into golf late 2020 after playing maybe 5 times since 2010 when i graduated after being on high school team all 4 years. I was using a nike sasquatch square head with a senior shaft because my r7 was stolen in college along with my putter. But yeah i after a month of playing i picked up a 430cc SLDR driver and 3 wood, and m2 hybrid for like $200. Crushed that driver but well its a 430cc sldr it wasnt forgiving, but honestly I played great with it up until my swing improved mid 2021 and I started hooking that club and the 3 wood, so i upgraded to some x stiff tensei blue shafts and started crushing down the middle again. Mid 2021 I shot my best round of -3 33 for 9 holes in my league, and had my first no bogey round for -1 35 also in league. Oh in this time I also got 52 56 60 degree milled grind 1 wedges, and that was probably the biggest boost in my game was my short game, picked up a solid ardmore 2, and later the ardmore 3, putter because i always wanted a winged mallet in high school and I was using a titleist dci set sand wedge and top flite gap wedge with an old odyssey putter i didnt like, and my short game was awful in high school. got the 56 and 60 degree brand new both for 160 and was stoked, still used them and love them. I did get a brand new set of Taylormade r7 irons start of my senior year and those improved my game a bunch from this old macgregor cavity back set i was using, and Im still using those today. I hit them ok but i defientiely need some different shafts, ive been looking at irons for like a year but not sure what i want and dont want to spend a ton. I got some p7 mc clubs to try and I couldnt hit the long irons so i sold them but kepy the 9 and PW and i LOVE those clubs, probably will just get p770 long irons eventually, but who knows. But I got down to a 2 handicap in my league, had a work injury in july last year and didnt play the 2nd half of the year, only got out 3 times once i healed up, crushed my feet pretty bad broke ankles yada yada. First round out like 2 weeks after walking for first time in 3 months i go out and shoot 38 tying my 9 hole low on this one course, so that felt good, could barely walk but dammit i could golf . You know idk why im typing out this story, I just love golf and it had a major role of improving my physical, mental , and spiritual state in 2021 and I just love the game. Your channel deserves more subscribers especially for your mini documentaries those are great, you should combine certain groups of them into larger videos, longer videos seem to do better sometimes. Keep crushing it tho man!
