Appreciate the love everybody, Seve was my Dads favourite player and I remember him crying when he died so this meant a lot to me to make this a good video, hopefully I did the great justice! I’ll keep making these videos till I run out of golfers I just wish I could make them quicker haha thanks for watching ❤️
Seve was friend of my father. They were raised being neighbors, proud "la barquería" boys. Both of them deeply pedreñeros, tough, funny and smart people. I grew up with the myth of Seve, in our news, tv, radio, papers...but at the same time I saw him joking with my dad when we visited my granma in Pedreña, and that was so strange for me...being a really shy boy from the city...I couldn't even look him in the eyes when he interacted with me. One of my biggest regrets, for sure. Now both men are gone, and I miss my dad every day. And I miss Seve too. Thanks for this video.
It breaks my brain that someone who puts so much effort into their videos only has 12k followers, keep going dude your content is great and you will be huge soon!
The content and voice is top shelf. Sadly he's covering golf which is like a niche sport. If he diversifies into football or other trending stories then i'm sure people will notice.
I only just started playing golf again 17 months ago, after a 33 year hiatus, but back in the '80s, Seve was my hero! The weird thing for me is: golf wasn't cool back then, but it has come a long way! I'm glad to see that, and I'm really happy to find younger people appreciating, respecting and acknowledging the greatness of Seve. He was a wizard! I've recently watched his The Short Game here on UA-cam, 3 times again, because I remembered it well from the VHS tape I had watched dozens of times as a boy, the one my Old Man had from back in the days when you had to send off a stamped addressed envelope to an address taken from an ad in the back of a magazine, that's how you used to have to buy stuff! UA-cam is amazing! Happy memories!
Time & time again Seve produced the goods in the most pressurised of situations. He made European golf what it is today. He was the best of his era & like Arnold Palmer is the king of US golf he is the king of European golf. #Legend
The big difference with Seve was that he had a lot of Charisma AND Talent. He had a very stylish swing that was athletic and very powerful when he was younger. He could hit the ball over 300 yards with ease with drivers that would be laughed at today. And he had a finesse and delicate touch around the green, all whilst looking vulnerable and unpredictable. He was great to watch because you never knew what might happen. And he was someone you wanted to be like. His looks an style set him apart. He should have won many more Majors - particularly the Masters which be completely dominated in the 80's but he was a bit unlucky especially at the 1986 Masters where he was cruising to victory until he tried to hit a soft 4 iron approach at th e15th and put it in the water. He never had quite the same invisible self belief after that. But he is an ICON of the game and I still think of him when I am i some tricky situation - and it always helps me relax and hit a great recovery shot thinking that I am Seve....
I had the opportunity to know him for a short time. I was in Santander 5 times and had lunch with him. He was a honest, calm nice man. And we had a fun time talking about life. The a few years later he passed away and he's last year he hide away from most people and just spend it with his family.
Seve provided a lot of entertainment for many and was the inspiration for a number of great players that ultimately came out of Europe. I miss this era of professional golf. It is not nearly as interesting as it was during the late 70’s to the early 90’s. RIP, Seve. When he was in form, he had no equal.
Nick faldo said it best ..seve was just like a kid in sweet shop when he was playing golf,,,what a star and a legend ,,one of my golfing heroes,,,R.I.P severiano you lived your dream and made your dream come true .

In 1978 he was paired with Gary Player in the final round and saw him win his 3rd Masters that is what inspired him to become a Champion.

The best eulogy I ever read: "Apparently, God needed a short game lesson".
