- We are blessed with some incredible smallmouth fisheries in Ohio and this river is a perfect example of how blessed we truly are. Ryan and I did a 6-mile float on this particular river in Southern Ohio getting into some awesome fish along the way. Enjoy the video and get out there because the fall bite is in effect!

Went to one of my local rivers here in northwest Ohio and got shut out for the first time this year, but yes hopefully we still got a few more weeks before they shutdown completely
I'm waiting for you to pop a 24'' or better smallie. It can really happen on the GMR around Hamilton and Ross on down to the Ohio River this time of the year.
A 24 would be insane!! I’m on the hunt for a 21” river smallie. I know the stretches down past hamilton are loaded!
My PB is a 25'' 7.8 lb GMR Smallmouth Bass that was caught on a Jitterbug at the old dam in Hamilton on August 2, 1983 and it was absolutely a huge beast. The precise location where this fish was caught was at the bottom of the levee right next to the dam on the B Street side. That one tied the Ohio state record for Smallmouth Bass which has stood since 1941. Someone finally beat both of those with one over 9 lbs out of Lake Erie in 1993.@@thecreekcrawler

Nice day on the water! Just curious if you have fished a Sebile magic swimmer jointed swimbait on the river? I have a good amount from years ago and they used to work well in Canada. Thinking I should try in a river this time of year.

I fished this EXACT area (4) times this week without so much as a bite. Im clearly doing something wrong. Im going to try using the exact same lures as you next time. The helgramite seems to draw them in. Im turning into much more of a recreational boater than a fisherman tgese days.
Rivers can be hit or miss. Just try to learn from each trip. The Hellgrammite and Trace are my confidence baits in the rivers.

I’m from Utah and travel to Lexington Kentucky for work how far away is this amazing river? I could use some direction on where to fish on the weekends I’m there to pass some time
This place is probably about 2.5 hours from Lexington. I am sure there are some good places to fish that are a lot closer.
Pretty sure this is the little Miami river in Cincinnati, I grew up on it and it’s a solid fishery. Not too sure why everyone is keeping it a secret, but if your from Lexington try out elk horn creek it’s even more solid than this spot from my experiences

Those are the NRS Boundary boots! I really love these things. So far I have put them through a good test. We will see after a year of use if they are really worthy.

My fav fish , bin watching your content for sometime now thought I would drop a sub your way...lol Winter is getting closer to where I am [ Canada Ontario ] so that's when I usually watch youtube and get caught up on videos.....lol Just fixing my pedal yak right now , problem with the pedal drive and steering...lol , it's an 8 foot pedal yak , 34'' wide and about 60lbs , made from HDPE , Great yak , just typical steering issues...lol

@@thecreekcrawler Yes always wanted a smaller pedal yak , after researching came across this one , It's called the Freeive Propel 8 if you want to check it out. I only do small rivers / creek so it suits me fine and ground floor aprt makes it easy living.
