    Great load of fluke! How much time elapsed during the filming? NY or NJ?

    Hey Marc, quick question on your technique for fishing the light jig in surf out front. I find that sometimes I don’t always feel my connection to jig on bottom. I kind of just feel as though I’m close to bottom and pop it up again. I’m noticing that your rhythm and cadence on the pop is fairly quick. Do you ever wait to feel bottom before popping again? Thx for the vids.

      How deep are you fishing out front? I'm assuming 6' or less on average?

      Feeling the bottom out front is very tricky. When you deal with deeper troughs, it's much easier. But since you're shallow, you might be having a hard time discerning the bottom from the push and pull from the undertow. If you're having a hard time feeling bottom, I would pay attention to the bow in your line and look for that tick following your upward jig. It should come 1-2 seconds after the pop. But the most important thing is to feel or see your jig hit the bottom after the cast. That will give you confirmation that is on the bottom and makes tracking your jig thereafter much easier.

      Great question I’ve been using the light jig method for about a month and can’t figure this out. But I summed it up to I may be using to heavy of a set up. So I bought a set up just for the light jig. 1/4-3/4 7’

    How are you guys avoiding all the Blue Fish?
    I'd live to get on some fluke but the blues are everywhere

    • @shore-moneyfishing1939
      @shore-moneyfishing1939  Місяць тому +1

      Avoiding the blues by staying connected to the bottom. Those that try to swim the jig will end up hooking into more blues.
