I want to clap my hands. It's so fun that you're experiencing the things so many of us have experienced. I've been carnivore for 17 months, my gray hair is gone, even my ugly dark hair I had for most of my adult life, and I have the same color hair I was born with now. I no longer sunburn and I'm out in the sun a lot, no sunscreen. I have no more cellulite. I can get in a squat and stay there, get down on the floor and get up again, walk down stairs without a death grip on the hand rails. I have CIRS with Reactive Arthritis, which has improved so much since going carnivore. My autoimmune markers went from HIGH ANA to barely even considered autoimmune. And I still have a LOT more healing to do.

I started carnivore August 2, been 5 weeks and have lost 30 pounds. Stopped 1 prescription medication, taking 2/3 less pain medication and feeling better than I have in a couple decades. I’m disabled, birth defect, I’m not expecting miracle but I do know the longer I’m doing carnivore I will be getting more of my health back. I hope to be off blood pressure medicine by the end of this year. Dr visit today and my doctor was shocked by the weight lose and asked me how I was doing it, he’s quite impressed!

I'm sure it's hard to please everyone. Plus, our interests change. This way of eating, is way more important to them right now. I must agree with them. I've been eating very low carb for a year now. When they say the results are blowing their minds, I totally get it!
Three weeks in, I had a severe episode of low blood pressure. I figured my blood pressure would get lower with time and as I lost more weight. But I had only lost 10 or 15 lb at that point and was not expecting it and it did blow my mind and it still does every day when I take my blood pressure and it's normal! Or when I checked my glucose levels and their normal. And when I step on the scales and I've lost a few pounds it still blows my mind! And I think it's because we were so led to believe that eating lean and high fiber was the best way to do it. But it's not and they've done many studies to prove it. And there are so many people walking around out there that are benefiting from this, that I see a trend. A trend of eating healthy the way we were meant to eat. And not so many carbs! Carb's kill.
And besides maybe this will get them in shape to do even more dumpster diving later!

I spent 4 hrs in shorts on a boat fishing no sun screen and didn't get burned or even red. I am pale skinned and always get burned or at least red and sore. No more heartburn for me after 1st week. So happy to hear an update. I'm just a few days behind you and have some exciting things to share. Day 28. 19 pounds down. My blood pressure was being treated with meds but today my doctor suggested I go off of the meds when I've gotten consistent readings of 116/68 or close to that. I'll monitor closely and see my doc in a week just be sure all is well. My labs in April had me at pre diabetic. A1C was 6.8. Today. 5.0. Cholesterol is down, good cholesterol is up. I was really struggling with my potassium being so low, at one point I needed an IV and had to cancel a big vacation. Today, right on the money. My arthritis so much better and my vision is changing. You mentioned gum disease? I don't have that but I do have 2 spots where my gums are receding. My dentist blamed age. Today, I can see new tissue and they are improving. I've also noticed not getting bit when outside and like Steven, I was a buffet for the biters. And like Steph, my body is changing so much. I have a waist again. Before I had a big round belly and now I just have a lot of saggy skin but that's okay. Oh and the best part of my day, my blood pressure cuff now fits without the fat lady extension piece on it! At least an inch down in each arm. The only complaint I have is, I am constantly exhausted. Those who know tell me that it's just my body adjusting, moving into ketosis and once that happens, I'll have more energy than I know what to do with. I can't wait! I have so much I want to do. Thanks for the update you two. Love seeing you feeling your best.

I am 70 and started the carnivore diet 6 weeks ago weighing 88.9 kgs. I cut out from my diet all the 'junk foods". Now 6 weeks later my weight has dropped to 79.4 kgs, my BMI is in the normal range and my blood pressure has normalised. No more medication. I am on a pretty low retirement income so my food budget is limited. However, here is what I eat in a typical week and it cost me less than 40 US dollars.
3 tins of sardines in water
lambs liver (which I add a spoon of curry paste)
    ground beef 20% fat content
1 kg chuck steak (for slow cooking)
    Chicken thighs/legs

Steph Anna Nichole Smith was on trim spa. I have noticed Steve doesn’t roll his neck as much as he used to do it all the time. I haven’t seen him do that roll thing with his neck in a while. I have had 3 cervical neck surgeries, where they fused bad disks the first one worked a while and because of my deteriorating disk in my neck I had to have a 2nd surgery and after 5 yrs I had caught my self doing that neck thing Steve used to do that is when my surgeon said my fusion was gone it didn’t take and i have never been a smoker but they had to put a 4” titanium plate and 4 screws in to fix my neck. I think now when it hurts I have done something I shouldn’t have or I’m trying to make my neck pop to get relief. Love you guys keep us informed and updated on how the diet is going for you.

I was having terrible stomach issues and was causing anxiety. I found the carnivore diet and decided to try it. I am 5-8 and I weighed 210 pounds. I am 63yo. In less than 2 months I lost 30 pounds. My stomach issues are gone. My anxiety is a lot better and I have more energy. So yes it works. Seems like my body has settled in at 180 pounds and I am not even trying to diet anymore. So carnivore really does work. People at work are amazed at how I seemingly transformed. Problem is most people just can't give up the food that is hurting them. I did it because my health problems were getting worse and I knew I had to change or get worse. Carnivore is the best thing I ever did. Just wish my wife would do the same but she doesn't want to. Thank you for your videos because it is helping those who want to change.

Wow, such amazing changes going on. Congratulations to Erica too! I bet she’s super happy she joined you instead of staying on weight watchers. It’s one of those things where it sounds too good to be true and you’re waiting for the other shoe to drop. I’ve been trying to eat better, lower carb intake, but I have a serious sugar addiction. It’s definitely an addiction because I know it’s bad for me yet I’ll still have it. I have changed a lot of my habits, increased the meat & fat and have definitely decreased my consumption of sugar. I keep reminding myself one day at a time, one meal at a time. I have a lot of health issues that are debilitating. It’s getting harder for me to walk due to severe degenerative arthritis in my knees. Since I’ve lowered my sugar intake on the days I have more sugar I feel so much worse the next week. The pain intensifies, etc. such a weird experience. Like the inflammation was decreased and the return flares up 10 times worse. Keeping that in mind helps me to not ingest as much. Baby steps all the way. You know if you’re willing to pay for them you can get tons of blood tests. There’s a website (blood tests online.com) or something like that. I’ll have to look it up. You don’t need a drs prescription. They will write the script. They work with your local labs. They will receive the results, have a Dr read them and send you the results too. They have a price list so you can see exactly what everything will cost. But it’s discounted, not the crazy high prices you normally see. You can keep track of some metrics that are more detailed than what would be ordered in a regular blood panel. Glad you two are feeling fantastic, especially awesome news for Steve. Hopefully no more flare ups will occur🤞🏻🙏🏻 and you can continue to do things like concrete work, you didn’t think you’d be able to do anymore. Cheers from FL😺

I am happy for you two, but actually, thrilled for you, Steve. I’ve had RA since I was a kid ( am in my 70’s now), so could identify with what you’ve dealt with. It was amazing to see you doing the cement work, and now to hear how much better everything is - it’s fabulous!🧡
Steph, you’re seeing your muscle definition, how great is that!
I wish I could try the diet.. but because of my inability to swallow solid food, it would have to be blended, and some things even when blended are difficult to swallow because the opening in my throat is so small.
You still motivate me to do better with my diet though, since I don’t always take in enough protein, it’s hard to keep my weight up.
I look forward to seeing how far this will take you. And I’m sure when you get your labs done, you’ll have concrete evidence not just anecdotal testimony as to what this way of eating can do for you. 🧡

    • @StevenSteph
      @StevenSteph  Рік тому +1

That’s so hard Elsa! Blended food only is rough ❤️❤️ I’m so happy you’ve found a way of eating though for your situation! You could play around with things in your diet like avoiding gluten and all things with even the tiniest bit of sugar is a great experiment for you! Should give you some relief! Also experiment with no dairy and no eggs and no coffee or spices from seeds (like pepper and mustard). If you look at the food list on AIP, they cut out the main things that cause inflammation so it’s not a bad idea to try to get relief by avoiding some as an experiment! ❤️

I always have swelling in my leg and now I have not had no swelling for over 30 days Which is another crazy thing you’re right you don’t get hungry I don’t get cravings it’s amazing to see this diet working. I do follow Dr. Ken Barry. He’s amazing with all the questions I’ve asked I’m a very obese person lost a lot of weight with a gastric bypass, but gained it back not all of it, but like 50 pounds of it, and now I’m wondering what was the score? I wish I would’ve known this along time ago. Thank you for sharing what you’re going through because I really like to hear all the new things that’s going on again thank you and God bless.❤

I actually have been watching you guys for a long time. I just don't comment... I have Lupus and Fibromyalgia as well as Degenerative disease. So I'm hoping this will help me as well.. tomorrow is my 1st official day.. I had steak and eggs for dinner, but I had my smoothie this morning. So tomorrow's the 1st full day.. I hope to lose 60lbs and feel better.. I have an MRI tomorrow and go see my doctor Monday. So I'm going to have him run blood work on my now, then again in 30 days to see what happens..

It will :) good luck on your journey. Some of the doctors in the space recommend waiting a bit longer than 30 days to get bloodwork done, as it's going to fluctuate a lot. Not that you can't but just be aware things can be skewed that early in to such a big change.

      Please read this book
“ What your doctor may not tell you about fibromyalgia” by Dr. St. Amond,
he too has Fibro (he knows what it feels like!)and has been studying & working on a reversal protocol of the fibromyalgia symptoms. I started following the protocol in the book in 2012 and I no longer have the pain & brain fog. It’s not a cure but you learn from the book on how to reverse & manage the fibromyalgia.

LOVED your video. I am 4 months in and loving it! I just learned something SUPER interesting. When Dr. Chaffey says that "plants are trying to kill you", he isn't kidding. I just watched a video from "Sadhguru" and he said, "If a group of elephants come and start grazing on a particular species of trees, within 20 minutes, all the other trees (leaves) in that region belonging to that same species turn bitter and mildly poisonous. The plants are communicating, "We're being eaten up". The elephants know about it, so they will graze quickly in one place and not even bother to graze in the area, because they know they will turn bitter. So they travel further away and again start eating. SO FASCINATING!

I wish I had income so I could do that carnivore diet too. It looks like that diet is a lil bit expensive to do. I'm an older woman. I have so many medical problems. I'm on so much medication. I'm in excruciating pain all day, every day. I have severe arthritis throughout my body & ALL of my joints are super bad. I have vascular necrosis in both hips & have to have them completely replaced. I've recently had my L total hip replacement but am still in a wheelchair because I still can't walk because of my R hip. Just 4 yrs ago I weighed 430 lbs. Now due to some extreme fasting I've lost 205 lbs. I look like a wrinkled up lump of skin. I sooooooo want to feel better. I sooooooo want to wake up one day without pain. I very much want to be able to walk again & do it without a walker like some 90 yr old when I've still got like a lot of yrs to get there. I really want to do this diet. I'm really tired of only being able to eat one semi meal every other day. You guys seem soooooo very excited about how great you are now feeling & I want that too. DANG IT!!! My theory is that it's what's in the SAD that makes you prone to sunburn, especially seed oils, that damage your mitochondria. I was out in the sun a lot during a week at youth camp and did not get sunburned.

You forgot no more body odor. I'm 1.5 years into carnivore. I went on a week cruise and tested for sunburns w/o using spf. I still burned but it was days into it rather than hours in the sun. I did peel a week later. So, it seems it gives me a higher tolerance to the sun/lower rate of tanning.

I'm 20 month into Carnivore now and went through all the positive changes you all are experiencing now, love watching your updates! I wasn't overweight before but the biggest positive changes for me was the terrible lower back pain/neck pain I had for a decade+ was just gone a few months in. Can confirm, never get sunburn, bugs bite less and when they do they don't bother me as much/not itchy, and they are just gone the next morning.
When i got my bloodwork done at 1 year in my LDL was the same, triglycerides went from 126 to 46 and HDL went from 40 to 88. Of course doctors still recommend a statin because they don't understand how great those numbers are lol.

Also carnivore is teaching your body to use fat for energy not carb.

I have no scientific answer. But I have a full head of black hair(maybe 10 white hairs) at 48. And I don’t use sunblock anymore. IM a 4.5 yr carnivore

Yes - I used to get bit by mosquitoes like crazy. I’ve been Keto/Carnivore for 5 years and I haven’t been bitten in years. I actually catch the mosquito trying to make up their mind to bite me, and I’ll kill them before they get the chance. I am blonde and my hair is turning darker too. That’s strange too.

The hair thing, many natural drs talk about that. You can reverse it it's about diet and minerals and stuff like that

Keto diet is great. Meet or protein + low carb veg! We have one meat + one veg for dinner, fruit for dessert. Simple meal!
