Every time I see a Will upload I get excited! Alec's channel is just not the same without him.
Very true !!
Truth
It’s not the same, but that’s not always a bad thing, I’ve really been enjoying his stuff since he’s been back in England! I’m excited to collaborate with him next time he’s in Montana 🔥
same!
True
What's really cool is how totally at ease Jacob is in his workspace. There's no wasted motion in his movements no matter what the task is at hand. When you see the level of passion and attention to detail someone brings to their work, it's really easy to see how this one man so inspired others to likewise hone their skills. I'm very proud of the people like this in our country, and I'm grateful to our forefathers who made possible these creative spaces these craftsmen can thrive in.
He’s a real master craftsman
@@WillStelterbladesmith I can tell. As a carpenter, we love our hammers. But I can tell you blacksmiths do too. Can you make a Framing hammer, I'd But it lol.
Will is really killing it to be honest. I was concerned when he and Alec went separate ways. However, Will is dynamic as hell and really stands on his own. Really loving where your channel is going! Also looking forward to other collabs.
Will, I loved this video! Watching my son in his process was amazing. I like your personality and energy… more please!
He’s an amazing craftsman and a good man! You did a good job raising him!
You go Mom👍
Will, I thought you were a modern day craftsman , BUT bud your gonna have to take a back seat to that guy, WOW !!
That anvil ... its SO quiet. No ring. No zing. No Ding. Just that satisfying fump. And ... a beautiful hammer of course ;) Thanks Will
That anvil surprised me with that dull thud. What a perfect set up he's got.
My teen daughter and I are hobbyist blacksmiths, but you (and Alec) have inspired my Molly so much that she's taking up 'smithing up as a career on an apprenticeship scheme locally. She's also is a Christian and I thank you from my heart for the *massive* inspiration you have been to her. *Hugs* - all the very best from Wendi in the UK 💛
I ordered a hammer from him about a year ago and I love it! It's nice to see his shop. I know he was having some health issues back then, I hope he's doing well now.
I have to say that the quality of your filming and editing has improved immensely since your first video on the channel. This video truely captured the passion, artistry and raw dedication of this man's work. Well done Will, very well done.
Selection and volume of the sound track also "felt" very appropriate.
The man is clearly a master craftsman. Thanx will
Man, that was some super clean and precise forging. Lovely work.
The tooling and process is so well thought out!
Loving the layout and organisation in that shop. 👍
Always good to see ur videos will. Very nice job. This project turned out very well there. Cant wait to see more videos soon. Keep up the great craftsmanship and hard work my friend. Forge on. God bless.
I’m watching this while hand fileing my first dagger. Well done will, I get exited every time you upload!
Always appreciate a new Will video!
It was really cool to see how he had that hammer down to an art with the process with all the fixtures and tools, thanks for sharing!
Double the talent right there. Amazing work
War Hammers are so awesome!! Love this build🤘
That's another great video, you can make edged weapons, hammers, and restore old tools over and over. No need to reinvent the wheel 👍❤
Another awesome video! I get closer and closer to buying a forge every time I watch one of your videos!
Another incredible video!
The part where the hammer was quenched on one side blew my mind! I would never have thought of working on something that way!
Now that's a tight & clean workshop!
His forging skills are awesome! His mustache is excellent!! 🥸
Good job Will! Keep up the good work.
That was awesome to watch, thanks Will!
That is beautiful work! Great video!
Cool hammer! Nice choice of music for the finale. Thanks Jacob & Will :)
Awesome Hammer. Good to see more appreciation for the saw rasp.
Finally a weapon! Love what you do Will!
AWESOME VIDEO!!! Looking forward to MUCH MORE!!
Excellent video Will, great work
The use of Strauss is perfect for the ending!! Good stuff man.
Yesss I was waiting for some forging!
Now these are some serious skills !
says the man, Trollskyy himself, i love your blades, keep it up!
An axe handle bump at the end of the shaft would make it swing better with a better grip. And a tactile feel when turning it around to use the spike.
Production Value of these videos has gone up tremendously!🔥Nice Work
It's crazy how easy Jakob makes it look.🤯🤯🤯🔥
It's very satisfying to see a craftsman do a complete forging that only needs sharpening rather than shaping on the grinder.
Super epic build!
Wow, that is one extremely talented smith!
I enjoy watching collaborations! Thanks Will.
Will and Jakob in the same video, two thumbs up!
First sew seconds of panning around Jacobs workshop I liked him already, I spotted a Slayer banner on the wall. And he makes a damn good looking warhammer. Good job guys.
As soon as you see the Slayer banner you know you're dealing with a man of passion, dedication, and great character.
Love your soli deo Gloria in the background!
Beautiful piece of work. Not a type of hammer I would ever need, but still, a piece of art.
i love you working with other smiths get that knowledge brother
That was a good one Will.
awesome video!!! 🔨
Will is a man unto himself. Yes, He and Alex made a great team. Two talents, one goal. It is a shame that they split up. They could have stayed together and done work independantly as well as co-operatively for the big projects.
Thank you for sharing
Good stuff, just wish it were more often!
Great content thanks for sharing
Proper skills there awesome
Thanks for making a video. Film the class.
Will almost never makes a mistake. he proves he is human at 7:07
Nice work 😊👍🏻👍🏻
Damn, that's a clean forging
Nice work Will. Please make some unburned handles in the future?
Super to watch
Hickory looks soo good burnt!
Those Nimba anvils are nice. They're made a couple hours from where I live.
Ok. I hadn't been particularly interested in Cometeer, but I brew Counter Culture coffee every morning. Maybe I'll have to get some for my next backpacking trip.
Nice work
That is wicked beautiful.
Your friend has light in his shop.
It’s a pretty good set up!
Will forging war hammers, Alec Steele forging torture devices. Hmm... trouble's brewin'...
Or you just like making drama out of nothing
@@draven86 don't look up, there's a joke passing over you head.
That’s an amazing hammer!
Nice acting in that ad, man. As we say here in Russia, a talented man is talented at everything.
Will, I love how you spotlight other awesome craftsmen. I found Kyle Royer that way from another channel spotlighting his work. Oh, and don't mind the haters. God bless!
the horn n that anvil is huge.
What finish did you put on the head? It looked really good.
Epic!
Good god that a fast hydraulic press! (5:10) Show me a video on how he made that monster.
The press is a Coal Iron 25 ton 🔥
Excellent
...It's a really cool historical weapon with a neat history behind them... If only you'd taken the opportunity to give us some of that history in a voiceover while he was making the hammer!!
What is that cooler at the end made out of?
What are the groves across the head of the hammer for, other than leaving sick marks on skulls?
The opposite of sour is salt. So a couple grains of salt in a 'bitter' cup of coffee acts like a catalyst to efectively remove the bitter.
since only a few grains [crystals] are used there's no 'saltiness added. Try it!
@1:12 you open the pod and dump the grounds into your cup... does it not work in a keurig?
"He is a living legend....right now" lol
Pretty sweet
Bro welcome back to UA-cam. More posts! The live stream and social media posts aren’t enough
Edit: I just realized I haven’t been getting notified 💀
🤒
So I'm currently in the process of building my battle Hammer it's a mixture of an old USSR ax and some 4140 chromoly my question is I'm welding 4140 to the ax head how should I heat treat and harden it should I heat treat the whole thing together and then just harden the ax head and Hammer face separate also should it be quenched in water or oil any advice is greatly appreciated
What kind of finish did you put on the handle and hammer head?
Pine tar 👍🏻
@@WillStelterbladesmith does that not get sticky when applied to metal and not just the handle? I’ve been playing around with pine tar and BLO mix myself and I’m just trying to learn a little more about everything. Thanks :)
Modern History TV did a video showing exactly why a war hammer didn't have to be a big lump of metal to be a frighteningly effective horseback weapon.
Smashing good time
PLEASE do a Steele vs Stelter
Part of building a war hammer is to be well prepared for the wars to come. Good job. Look me up when the war begins; I offer warm clothing for the cold times.
Will, I don't know if this would be possible or if it would be a lot of work but I think it would be really cool to have descriptions in the closed captions like Primitive Technologies used to do.
It may say like "fire burns the wood to add ..." or "using small strikes to enlarge the engravings on the hammer face" etc.
For those of us who are totally ignorant of the technical processes that would be pretty cool.
What steel did you use for the hammer?
This hammer will go great with my navy suit
As much as I miss the Alec days, I absolutely LOVE the solo content. Can't wait for more!
Epic Skills
Where'd you get that double walled glass beaker looking vessel? 🤩
Would of liked to have heard a bit more on why the hammer has the shape that it does. Like why have the crosshatching on the face of the hammer head, etc. Otherwise, awesome video as always, Will!
The cross hatching is to increase the pressure applied by the face of the hammer without needing to apply more force or change hammer geometry.
Adding to the ever growing mountain of food that has been sacrificed in the quest of youtube content
That’s pretty awesome…
😎👍 impressive
that hammer would stamp a perfect peanut butter cookie
