i suppose production blacksmithing is a thing that is rarely done nowadays, drop/press forging with full dies is just so much faster and more consistent, but that consistency is the difference between soulless mass production and artisan craftsmanship. this is the ultimate refinement of this craft, that man needs to be paid more!

I have been hitchhiking 9 countries over seven years all throughout europe, only to learn how to forge knifes and swords. I have visited hundreds if smiths of all sorts for my passion. If id have known that you would visit Croatia, id almost die to see you, since your passion and love for what you do comes extremely close to my mindset. I have litterally walked thousands of kilometers with my dog and a backpack full of blades and metal scraps as well as finished and unfinished swords, have been in several newspapers, my fb got hacked, I've been nearly killed multiple times in italy, it was a blast. Damn it, i knew about your tour. .. but that map you show there looks just like you went to croatia as well... I didnt expect that. Id have met my idol and told you in person how much your commitment means to me till this day and how much you inspired me in those seven years of being europes only real traveling bladesmith.
