Immobilized non fatal wounds..... As the biker lays lifeless on his motorcycle as it explodes and continues to ride after a close range shotgun blast to the chest. Ah the good ol days of massively questionable game logic...... Lol
To be fair, the Terminator was only told to not kill people when John and him break into the Hospital to rescue Sarah. Before that, the Terminator wasn't restricted, so odds are the "Non-Fatal" was just a carry over because the Devs didn't think about that.
great game played it so much when i was a kid and even go back to it from time to time the driving was so bad could never make it to the next stage after Pescadero State Hospital
All those who keep bashing this game must be on drugs. T2 is one of my all-time favorite movies (Schwarzenegger's greatest performance ever). This is one of the most faithful movie based games on the Genesis/MegaDrive. I rented it several times in my youth and I loved it. Those who keep trashing it just don't know how to play it properly. Playing this game always makes me feel like I am in the shoes of the T-800 and re-enacting the movie nearly scene for scene. The mall level was awesome. That was my favorite part of the whole game.
It got universally poor reviews and looks very clunky to play. That doesn't of course change your subjective enjoyment of the game, but claiming every person who played it and noticed flaws is "on drugs" because you have childhood nostalgia for the games is pretty ludicrous. Of course that kind of thing is pretty common in comment sections - people endlessly praising very flawed games because of childhood nostalgia and not looking at them more objectively.
@@yellowblanka6058 Piss off. Like I give a shit about what some no name magazine journalist says. @@whitetroutchannel The Arcade Game is another one of those games that aged poorly and got incredibly boring after a short amount of time, so no, you're wrong. And your reasons for hating this game are likely just as stupid as everyone else who dumped on it.
I remember luring the T1 1000 into the garage on the 2nd level, and messing him up by blowing up the car while he was next to it. Only way to get through the level after you trigger the alarm.
"Wait a minute, "non fatal wounds?" I shot him with a fucking shotgun at point blank range to the chest, I don't think he's getting back up!" - Fat Mann Judgeth
Wish that boss fight had occurred in the movie too. The T-800 tosses the T-1000 into the molten metal, then miniguns its multimorphing form apart while it's in the vat with thousands of rounds spent.
This game is honestly pretty fun once you get past the controls, driving stages and repetitive music. Terminator games are hit and miss, but this one is honestly pretty decent once you get past it's flaws. Definitely helps to have a walkthrough handy for it.
In other words it's not a good damn. Bad controls, awful driving stages, repepeitive music, and the general side scroller gameplay does not make you feel like a Terminator. The only decent game from this era, other than the Arcade game, is The Terminator on Sega CD. It wasn't until Future Shock and Skynet that we got a good Terminator game.
@@OpenMawProductions I don't think this game was so bad once you got the hang of it's issues. It's honestly pretty fun at times (if nothing spectacular), and certainly a big step-up from the not-so-great NES version. If only it had more varied music and got rid of the driving stages, which are no doubt the game's Achilles heel.
I would like to see a modern version of all 3 games on the current gen systems because I don't remember there ever being a T3: Rise of the Machines game done by anyone.
I'm sorry but the NES version was better at least it used lines from the actual movie in the cutscene and imho stuck closer to the actual movie and considering it was done by LJN that says a lot considering most of their games were crap.
Creio que a maior diferença seja a jogabilidade dos veículos nas fases intermediárias, há mais liberdade de movimentos. No SNES a mesma é horrível. Mas prefiro a versão SNES.
Every time i see a playthrough of this game on Genesis or SNES, that's not Arnie i see walking around slowly, it's Hank Hill! I need your clothes, your propane and your propane accessories :D
Hopefully, who ever was responsible for this game, is not working in this industry any longer! Games like these should cause an perma-ban for everyone involved, indefinitely!
Flying Edge never made that many games iirc the only other big game I can think of that they did were the different versions of The Simpsons: Bart VS The Space Mutants and while that game was "OK" it still wasn't a golden globe winner by any stretch!
This game was so terrible!!!! I remember I had my dad buy it for me thinking it was the arcade version🤔 Luckily I did find the arcade version later! I miss that game!
My mind was blown away by the motorcycle driving sequence back in the day, it felt like an open world, a dream

Shotgun blast to the chest and it says none fatal wound. Love it.

Propane and propane accessories at the mall!

No.
They're actually pretty decent. Not something from the movie itself, but it does the job.
I think the music is pretty decent. Definitely not winning any awards, though.

Oh, and throws the smoking, red hot minigun in to boot after finishing off all his ammo.
Dammit, it was really easy for me, except after the Pescadero level and trying to get to Enrique's compound with a police car. What a maze!
That's the exact part I got to every time as a kid, never made it past.
same. never did it.
Getting in and out of Enrique's compound was the hardest part of the game. Dude set up shop like he didn't want anyone to come by! Weird, that. ;)
