I'm not kidding when I say this but some of the people writing the music for these games were geniuses. I'd love to remake some of them using modern sounds.... 🤔
I love the SEGA and SNES, for what i am about to say don't get me wrong, but the best overall sounding musical scores and FX sound the SNES reigns supreme. The SEGA cannot reproduce nor match the musical sounding quality of the SNES. SEGA recycled their FX sounds in the vast majority of their games. The sound driver of the SEGA resembles a blend of that of the NES and the Original Gameboy. If another video was made comparing the two, SNES reigns supreme. To this day, i hate the fact that the SEGA Master Drive/Genesis has an inferior sound driver due to its limited channels. SEGA made the best use of this limitation and for several of their franchises it worked well, Sonic the prime example.
Leo dude... snes has just a simple midi soundcard and Genesis has a fm synth as a soundcard... search here on youtube what you can do with it ... but alas in one thing you’re right and that is that Nintendo had the better composers.

Great list! Thanks! Most of the 3rd party games weren't at my Toys 'R Us, KB Toys, EB Games or other stores sadly. First time I'm ever seeing many of them, and I had over 50 Genesis games since 1989.

Rocket Knight Adventures, thank you so much!! i finally have the answer, it has frustrated me for so long id almost given up trying to find it. thank you
Absolutely! Moreover, the version for SMD/SG has never been published anywhere except the SMD/SG itself. In fact, this is exclusive to the 16-bit console from Sega.
Trudat. The only downside is that you'll start hearing "Reporting, acknowledged." in your sleep. ;) Other than that, this game is a gem. For anyone who liked _Herzog Zwei,_ you'll love Dune TBFA.
@@Shellmit Yeah, this game really needs a re-release somewhere, somehow on modern consoles. (We have enough ports of Golden Axe, Altered Beast, and Sonic whatever, thankyouverymuch.)
@@LedmeisterOnUA-cam The Duke (Herzog Zwei) is also a masterpiece! Split screen with the ability to play RTS in two + great soundtrack. Both games have high replayability.
The best console I've ever had. Missing those days. Still playing some games on emulator. For those who might want the best games, here's the list I personally played: flashback golden axe general chaos lost world the jurassic park ranger-x road rush robocop 3 rock'n'roll racing scooby-doo spider man 1995 streets of rage Taz-mania Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles The Hyperstone Heist Toy Story Ultimate Mortal Combat 3 Crusader of Centy WWF Wrestlemania The arcade game Zero Tolerance Contra
Although I grew up with the SNES, the Mega Drive is a solid console. Developers really got creative with their games because of the 64 colors on screen limitation that forced them to work harder and put more effort to make good games for the system. That’s why I say that Mega Drive games tend to have more effort put in development than the SNES games.
This is honestly an amazing resource for people trying to find old games they can't remember the name of. Great video!

1:00:43 King Of The Monsters
1:00:53 King Of The Monsters 2
Most Sega fans love Sonic, but these games are my favorite.
Thank you, this video is saving my time.
Congrats to the creator of this video. For those who did not play the games of the mega drive had the opportunity to meet.
Dune:The Battle for Arrakis the best strategy game on Sega
@@Shellmit Oh yeah, Herzog Zwei rocks. That might've been my first-ever purchase for Genesis.
This took me back….thank you🙏🏾👑
finally i found what i search for...Thanky you!!
Awesome work for historical conservation 🤩👌🏼💪🏼 thank you

I loved Flashback so much as a kid. Still think about it today. It was ahead of its time
Although I grew up with the SNES, the Mega Drive is a solid console. Developers really got creative with their games because of the 64 colors on screen limitation that forced them to work harder and put more effort to make good games for the system. That’s why I say that Mega Drive games tend to have more effort put in development than the SNES games.
Sega genesis is the best sega console ever made!
