@@fedenovo1 It'd be easy too, a sequel/prequel, just have it about breaking into a Skynet base to access their time travel tech and end as they're sending Reese back, or the T2 Arnold, either one would have worked.
I think the fact the game itself refers to itself as an "attraction" is telling - it's less of a game and more of an interactive experience, one that's going to force you to pump in money every so often if you want to see the end, regardless of how good the player actually is. As a spectacle, this really would have been quite the thing to see in an arcade, complete with all the licensed artwork, sounds and material recorded for the game by the actual actors (which itself wouldn't have been cheap to do).
@@AL82RetrogamingLongplays Yeah, it was to pump up fans to go see the movie. Seeing the actual arcade cabinet in the movie was a nice little touch. It turns out Sarah Connor and John Connor actually use lookalike stunt doubles from the films crew. Sarah is played by Linda Hamilton's sister.

29:47 This was my favorite part of the movie, when John and the Terminator face off with a bunch of chemists in a meth lab while the chemists throw beakers of phosphorus at them. This is why James Cameron is the best.
They do not for a reason: home computers and playstations etc. Have surpassed arcade cabinets technologically. Way back then, arcade machines had better graphics, frame rate and sound.
It is hilarious to see SWAT officers rolling on the floor like Sonic. Pure gold. Also who are these people supposed to be? 34:43 Armed Militia of Steel Mill Union?
Damn! This actually looks like a really fun rail shooter! Loved the voice line usage, and the creative adaptations of scenes from the movie. The amount of enemies is nuts 😂
Going from Terminators to cyberdyne Security guards and PMC I have to maniacely laugh as the hardest materials known to man were on the Terminators; and going back through time to fight squishy human enemies just felt overkill.
The goal was to use the Player 2 right/red gun. As enemies would approach from the right of the screen, by the time they turn to shoot, they’re already hitting the left/blue Player 1 screen; thus NOT damaging the Player 2. This in addition to enemies walking on screen from the left are moving slower as they attempt to keep up with the moving screen. Finally, any enemies on the left side of the screen you’d literally leave alone, even if they were shooting. They wouldn’t be damaging you.
So many allowances wasted after school feeding quarters into this thing as it sat in the local Walmart entrance. 😅 Those vibrating Uzi's we're so cool back in the day.
Brilliant!! Enjoyed this play of an absolute interactive classic! I've found a local game shop near me that has this original arcade cab so this was great research for my Arnie bomb I am going to do on it this weekend...asta la vista....baby😅
I played this game at an arcade called the Goldmine at the Pacific view mall in Ventura, California at 4 PM every day after getting a slice of pizza from Saboro’s for $1.25 a slice. I spent hours on terminator to arcade and then I would go to the ticket machines because they had one of the first Timex Indie glow sport watches for 6000 tickets! I saved up 6000 tickets and I went to the Goldmine after school one day and it was gone, My mission completely over and failed, I looked to the left of me and there was a little kid with five tickets, and I handed him a bag. He passed out and his parents were like “ Oh my God, are you sure?” I said yes, I hope he gets a bunch of things that he wants. The parents were still in shock, and the kid was freaking out lol. That’s a memory that will always stay as a part of my childhood. I miss arcades so much, at 41 years old, I would still go to an arcade hall if I could.
Remember that this game inspired many Raw Thrills and Play Mechanix shooters where health bars doesn’t give you temporary invincibility time, sheer amount of enemies, and insane bosses to the point of making health bars a time limit, meaning that if you damage after short seconds, you take less damage but if you play longer, you instantly die. Terminator Salvation is one of the examples of this as both T2 and Salvation were produced by George Petro.
