I love mechanical work. I can sit and watch it on UA-cam all day! Seriously, I do love my mini truck, in part because it's fairly simple and easy to repair, maintain and upgrade. The coolant hose to the carburetor doesn't cool the carburetor. In a way, it heats the carburetor. There's a heat activated high idle circuit that is disabled once the coolant comes up to normal operating temperature. It's probably activated by a spring loaded plunger with a wax pellet that melts when the coolant is warm.
@@CountryBoyChronicle not really sure, I sprayed the outside of my carb with WD 40, and that loosened something up for a little while. The idle kick down solenoid doesn’t seem to like releasing. So I’m back to high idle again. I suspect my carb just needs a really good cleaning inside and out. We use salt here, and I think that’s jamming things up.

The coolant line operates the choke, and eventually triggers the fast idle kick down.
My truck is a 1992, and looks just like yours.
So what should I do about the high idle?

Your; “looking for sponsorship” comment sounds like you want him to be the sponsee as opposed to the sponsor.
