I have watched many, many, other tutorials and guides with millions of views, and good god, none of them actually gave me the information I was looking for. Thank you! This was perfect and exactly what I was looking for. I didn't need the whole color and contrast theories and all the fancy techniques...I just wanted to know the basic idea on how to draw the background, and this was wonderful!

I'd love to see a video using these brushes for a birds eye view/worms eye view perspective landscape! If it is possible with these!
One thing you can do to is just make a flat grass field then distort it into perspective. It's a little trick to make it fit in any perspective
@ShrimpBOI fish eye perspective is that which looks elongated/stretched in a way, right?

Okay first of all the Foliage procreate brushes that you created are AMAZING! They work exactly how I needed them. A few months ago I bought a Tree and Foliage Procreate brush set on Etsy but really struggled with them mostly because I didn’t know how to properly use them. I’m pretty new at art and this video helped me understand why my paintings always seems so flat. Your brush set is so much easier to use and more dynamic so I can get a cohesive look. Thank you so much for making this video!

first time user of photoshop, I've never drawn before (seriously) in my life. For school I decided to buy a Wacom tablet and now here I am testing out photoshop. As a writer, my creative vision is there but none of the skills to follow through with drawing it. Your brushes and understanding of foliage have really helped and it makes it so easy to draw! I would love to paint backgrounds, but one thing I struggle with are grass fields. The in-depth explanation and the small color diagram you showed at the beginning of the video broke an intimidating concept down very nicely. Your video helped immensely with my own paintings too- thank you!! 💗💗

One of my biggest mistakes is that I always have this weird voice in my head telling me that I have to draw every thing on its own e.g draw the blades of grass, draw the patches of dirt. But this video has shown me that I really don’t NEED to do that! It’s why I love your channel and your demos, they help me break the unnecessary barriers I’ve created in my head about what “drawing” actually is. I guess sometimes I get caught up and forget that using perspective grids or using brushes are actually helpful tools and not something to shy away from. Thank you so much for these videos honestly!!

Thanks a lot! Using dark on light and light on dark values is the only method I use in my traditional watercolours and it’s always magic, increases the contrast and all! I’m going to try using your brushes as a tonal (manga screen tones) for some pages of my pathetic manga, even if they don’t have such a setting they are still amazing.

This was really useful, was struggling to paint grass for my album cover because it's so complex but you made it simple

this video was so unbelievably helpful. you hit all very useful thought processes and techniques in a nicely condensed video, breaking something complicated down into something less intimidating. your brushes are amazing, bought them immediately (I slapped a small donation for you there) and I'm super excited to use them for my project!
as far as other video tutorials, perhaps could we see how to layer these grass textures when something is sitting in the grass? be it a rock, a person or an animal? I always have trouble trying to figure out the best method to approach this, specifically with the layering over and around the object, idk why lol.
