Picked up Ignis base model for my son for 5.46 lakhs OTR Delhi. Not under 5 lakhs but still got a good deal. He was looking for a used car under 5 lakhs but it made sense to pick a brand new one by slightly increasing the budget. He did consider Celerio as well but Ignis won due to its better engine.
Proud owner of Ritz ZXI 2013. Still a joy to drive 😁. Will have to part part with it cause of the 15 year old rule in the NCR in a couple of years but will keep it as long as I can.

I still own a Ritz Vdi from 2011. It is built much better than the new Maruti cars. Still runs perfectly and we use it for city runs when traffic is bad.

On Nissan, you missed Terrano, which is way superior than Duster but almost sharing same platform with minnor brand specification change - Kicks is another brilliant car, wrong procing and positioning, may not be in the 5L segment though - agree on Micra & Sunny

Nissan Renault ki cars /SUV till 2016/17 both petrol/diesel were gems. Quality, build, reliability mai koi shaak nahi. Even Nissan Kicks ohh God! Brother resale of the cars may vary from city/state to city/state. What i observed is in Punjab/ Chandigarh or Haryan that resale of the cars is very high as compared to Delhi NCR. 4gen city 2014 , 15 model you will get b/w 4.5 - 5.5.

Sir brought a first gen ecosport diesel 1.5 with 52000 km. Just needs a little bit of paint job and all tyre changes. Other than that its a fabulous car. 6 airbags torqy diesel. And ford service is just fabulous. Serviced a diesel car under 4500 😅. Ford is ❤

Bro... is their any chance of skoda introducing IMT in 12-15lk cars...I think IMT is well defined gearbox giving feel of manual n convenience of auto without using clutch... As I like manual more thn auto but it's bit difficult in everyday city driving by pressing clutch.. So IMT would serve my purpose. I like skoda for quality if it offers IMT thn it could be good combo.... Any plans as per ur sources to bring IMT

This is very very unlikely. Most buyers of vag manual enjoy the clutch. However, a year or so down the road there could be aftermarket imt kits

If it's a screeching sound then its the belt, if it's a humming sound then you can assume it could be the bearing. Obviously yes, considering if the AC is working.

See I'm planning to buy a Skoda Slavia as my first car in early 2024. I drove the 1.0 MT but didn't get to fully experience it because of the busy highway and also the salesperson who was sitting with me told that we shall drive in the highway only and the route he decided was very limited. I didn't want to be rude to him so I agreed to whatever he said... One thing is for sure that slavia will my first car but I've a small question. I'm pretty sure you test drived the 1.5 too before buying it (pardon me if I'm wrong). So what do you think the price difference is justified? Is the 1.5 worth it?

Hello Sir. The performance difference is HUGE after 100 kmph. Till then they feel almost same. With 1.5 TSI you feel like it starts from 100 itself & would reach 180 kmph in no time! Whereas 1.0 TSI starts losing the juice at 150 kmph. Otherwise they both are great. Both are fine for hilly areas. The turbo lag is there in 1.0 TSI under 1700 rpm but creep is fast. I have both Engines at home :) I really appreciate your patience with the salesman. I am a gentleman like you too.

This will be the first sedan of our family, or you can say a car that's pretty low compared to what my father owns in present (old Scorpio and Scorpio N). What do you think about Slavia's approach angle? We travel a lot and 30% of the roads here are not that great... some have these huge craters some have these steep inclines. Will there be a problem?

1.5 TSI offers unmatched performance & 19 kmpl on highways so kinda best of both worlds. Out of warranty battery would cost a bomb.

People are not satisfied with the service & parts availability. I had terrano diesel. Its great in driving experience but when it came to parts availablity. Rula denge ye. I have heard similar experience for terrano/ duster in my friends& relatives.

@SunderdeepSingh If it's the case of common man Fords ,Vw ,Skoda's r also not for them. Parts n service costs are on higher side as compared to others.
1.4 Tdci was very problematic as compared to new gen 1.5Tdci n ur right Vw 1.2,1.6,1.5 tdi's r not for all.
The best tdi's ever came to india was 1.9 tdi and 2.0 tdi. 1.9 tdi is gem.

I humbly do not agree with your views about Ford EcoSport. It is not an odd car. I will still buy it over Brezza, Nexon, XUV 300 etc.
It is selling like hot cakes in used car market. People are happy to buy them over 6-7 lakh with 80k+ kms on the meter.
Foolish customers realized the worth of Ford after it left India.
Figo and EcoSport (Diesel) have no match, even today.
Hot cakes is an over statement tbh. There is no such thing in Ludhiana atleast. Hot cakes term can be associated only with MS, Hyundai & Toyota.

[27/11, 19:22] Jitendra Mishra: Subject :- Regarding my Car Vento TSI still not running.
The point wise details under the above topic are as follows-
1. I have Volkswagen's Vento 1.2 TSI petrol car, which has DSG Gear box. This is a 2017 model and has covered only 26000 kms so far.
2. Was parked in the parking lot last July 2023. The entire tire was submerged in the flood water and the inside of the car was also filled with water.
3. Due to this the gear lever was not shifting from P mode. P was flashing in the dashboard.
4. The car kept drying in the sun for 15 to 20 days.
5. Even car was starting well. The original sound was coming like a new car. Engine was perfect.
6. After watching a video on UA-cam - "Factory reset DSG gear box in minutes", I did the following while standing -
(a) Sitting inside the car.
(b) Locked the doors.
(c) Put the key in the ignition and turn it to accessory position. Waited for 15 seconds.
(d) Now pressed the gas pedal and kept it pressed for 30 seconds.
(e) After this, switched it off and took out the key.
(f) Took the foot off the gas pedal.
(g) Now waited for 3 minutes.
(h) After this the car was started.
7. After doing the above steps and starting the car, a loud noise came from below. The engine sound started getting louder and the RPM also increased slightly.
8. After this another incident happened. To take the car to the Service Centre, open the cover of the gear lever, press the yellow button and put it in Neutral in the Emergency programme.
9. During this emergency program, the lever shifted to Reverse (R) due to which the whole car shocked and there was a loud rattling sound came from below.
10. In the company's Bhopal service center, the entire system below gear lever was only found to be damaged due to waterlogging, which was replaced with a brand new one.

Refused because the car had driven only 26000 KM. The center wanted to increase the estimate. I felt that way.
12. After having cleaned the rust/dust and clean the fly wheel with chemicals, gear box fitted back.
13. Brought home 300 KM from Bhopal while driving the car. On the front left side of the car, intermittent gurgling sounds and shocks kept coming.
14. Now there are vibrations in the engine when the car is started. The sound is also getting louder. Although RPM is normal.
15. When driving on the road, intermittent whirring sounds start coming from the front left side and jerks are felt intermittently. Gears fit properly and do not slip.
Please tell what could be wrong with the car? What should I do now? I have already spent Rs 1,50,000 in VW service center but the situation is same. Car is not able to move on the road.
