I have a 1.6 Polo (2011 model). I have faced such issues from the service stations and i know myself that the car is amazing and still runs like it use to on the very first day. Had done over 1.10 Lakhs and covered over 10 states and 14 major cities. I'd like to keep the car till its eternity. Thanks for sharing the thread. Would be useful for future.
Maine 2014 second hand polo khareedi thi 2014 mein jo 14 months old thi aur 30k driven thi....mujhe woh polo 4.8 lacs ki mili thi Jo highline model tha which was close to 7.5 lacs onroad during that time.....I maintained it well and sold it at 2.8 lakh in 2023 September after driving it 1.5 lakh kilometres, the only additional things I added in that polo was a set of new appollo tyres at 1.2 lakh kilometres, a seat cover and 4 component speakers from JBL 😅😅😅😅😅 I bought a kushaq 1.5 MT style now 😊😊😊😊😊 I will use and keep it for a minimum 8-10 years now 😊😊😊😊 VW skoda cars are reliable......many people laughed at me in 2015 on my decision for buying a second hand VW Polo, trust me they all had new cars and I was only with a second hand polo and my car survived longer then their cars 😂

Finally someone is talking on this topic , this is one of the biggest reason why european cars have perception of poor resale value in india and it is done by the showrooms themselves , i hope someone in VW is listening to this and will do something about it . Great video btw.
If only VW representatives from Service/Sales openly honestly talk to their customers like you guys do and share content responsibly, their market presence would have been much much better. I have seen people loving VW cars in Europe and they keep them for as long as 20+ years. I like my Vento DSG very much but the spares are service costs in India are extremely high that make me not recommend it to anyone.
Excellent video. This video made me learn a few new things too. That's why we see oldest Toyota Corolla and Honda City and Civic on road. Totally off topic : My 2013 Honda Brio ran 97000 kms still gives 20-22kmpl on highway which is even more than Maruti Suzuki Alto 😂

If only dealership salesman said things about these cars in such confidence invoking tone as Manish and Sunder ji, their sales numbers would have easily been 10-20% more
Very useful information. As rightly pointed VW/European car spare parts are very expensive. Only last week my Vento DSG showed fault and PPS Service Centre guy quoted 1.3L for replacing clutch and flywheel. They also suspect mechatronics to be a problem and replacing that will cost me another 1.2L. My car has driven 1.1L Kms and I'm in middle of major repairs.

true , I m owner of 2013 polo tdi , car is fantastic with zero problem but whenever I go to service station for general maintenance they are pushing me to sell it and buy a new one , i clocked more than 155000 km and still it works like a new one.

We bought a used (first owner) VW Passat 2.0 TDI DSG Blue motion 2011 Comfortline in Nov. 2023 for 3.75 lakhs, well maintained. We were interested in purchasing one more car in the next 3-4 months. VW Jetta 2015, Vento 2017, Skoda Octavia 2015, Rapid 2017, etc for cheap or similar pricing. Petrol or diesel, both will do. Diesel with DSG, Petrol is okay with manual. I think they'll fit under 5 lakhs very easily. Please explain the process. Thank you.

Later on I have understood we need to pick write person and do search what is problem and what is solution for it. Since last 3.5 years I’m going to mechanic only spending 300/- for oil change , remaining things doing on my own. With no issues. Maintaining below Additives Regular diesel filtering techniques Lubricantion on moving parts. Car is amazing loving it continue same.

i had 2012 skoda yeti 4 x 4 --two years back sold the car after facing daily electronics failure ,even company and outside workshop were not able to repair the same .Fuel level sensor was not avaiable anywhere even after 6 months of search ,haldex failed at 60000kms , parking sensor were also not working ,music system was making strange noise --------so before falling for marketing videos ---talk to end user and he will tell you his real pain ---as company dosent stand behind customer for parts ---you can repair mechanical faults --what about electrical and electronics fault which are never ending.
MunishJi you nailed it. Das Welt Auto Bangalore did same. Mera 2011 1.2 TDI model ko they were quoting 85K Rs for just 90K KM run which is serviced regularly every year at VW ASC only with service record manual. They were saying the resale value of VW is not good. If they say this , how can we purchase new Taigun or Virtus ...Thats why people are running away from VAG vehicles .....VW company and Das Welt behave as 2 different companies ...whereas MAruti TruValue and Maruti new vehicles work hand in hand .....

Sunderdeep bhaiya i am your old subscriber and right now driving Polo 1.2 MPI (2013) and Ameo 1.2 (2017), All of your points are noteworthy but the thing is whom to trust, there are very few trustworthy mechanic outside to work with VAG cars, for example recently i took my polo to VW service center for suspension replacement and they quote me around 45k than i found a workshop in gurugram and get my suspension replaced they charged me around 18K with OEM parts but the i am not completely satisfied with their work .
I have a polo 1.5 tdi it has clocked 1.17 L kms in odo and stage 2 tuned with suspension and break upgrades. It puts the new virtus and kushak to shame from stand still. I don’t even feel like upgrading when there is nothing new in the new cars. The only thing to note is to get a good technician. I stopped taking my car to company after 60k.

So true, i have polo petrol 2011, it's shocker/suspension had some issues, when I visited VW workshop gurgaon, they asked for 80,000 repair charges. I was shocked, as my car was very less driven 50k that too on gurgaon city roads only. I was in the same dilemma how this could possibly be fair value for repair, while they evaluated my car for 1.20 lacs only. I would never going to buy any vw car in future, I have trust in brand but their dealers are thief, one time I raised similar issue on skoda twitter post, their country head got offended and asked me that "where did u get this info do you have first hand exp with such dealers if u know any then name them otherwise don't dent out image" I got to knw after some months he left his job in skoda. Bcz of these crooks these brands are loosing customers. Btw thanks for this video I'll definitely take munish consultation for repair of my car's suspension bcz it's my first car I don't want to sell it bcz of these thugs. if something can be arranged in ncr will definitely get it done from there, otherwise will come to Chandigarh.

Also i want to ask one more thing sunderdeep bhaiya, i saw many people giving advice to change gear oil of VW car after 50k KM or 1 Lakh KM so i also decided to change gear but as i was unable to source genuine VW gear oil i called VW service center they told me sir gear oil in VW car is life long and you dont need to worry about and dont need to change gear oil. Please tell me what is your opinion and Have you ever changed gear oil in POLO
Same thing happened with my WagonR 2010. Head gas kit problem and company was quoting 40k and was forcing me to sell for 60k my budget was tight I went for after market repair for 9k and it’s running like a charm no issues just completed 1L on Odo… these dealers are like looters if you try to buy used car they will 2x the value and when you sell they will buy comparing it to scrab
I have a 2013 VE Polo TDI Highline that has 14:29 run 187000 KMs. The only problem I face is when I go to the service centre, otherwise the car runs smoothly.
Basically company is big fraud in not providing parts feely and at reasonable price and hence customers are forced to sell cars at huge discount. Electronics problem are big issue in volkwagen/skoda cars .Mechanically you can take care of any car.
Sunderdeep Ji your car is shining like new, I would really like to know how you maintain your car as swirl marks are inevitable. For me the only way I get it machine polished in a year or half. Please make a video on car maintenance.

Infant I actually used to own a polo petrol earlier and used it for 5yrs and sold it without any reason and went for glanza2023 but I am not getting that "ish" feel which you enjoy while driving. Anyhow I have a feeling now to go back to used-polo again and need your advice on the same. BTW Ibelongs from Kerala and is there any chance of your teams physical interference here. Pls let ke know. Agree with pre owned car thing. Vw guys said they will buy my vento for 1-1.25 lacs only. And i was really disappointed that even VW is not giving good resale for their vehicle. And on the same evening I was able to sell that car to a Dealer for 1.8 lacs If I were to sell that to an individual that could go little higher in 2 lacs range. If an outside used car dealer can give better price than VW guys, then imagine the experience a VW user have when they say k bhai aapki gaadi ka 1 lakh se zyada ni milega. And then they say why people buy hyundai maruti or even honda

I know the potential of VAG what driving dynamics it offers but in my case it has been opposite in repairs i have 2008 Honda City GXI driven it 2.3 lakh Km , never changed its shockers neither clutch plate and everything is still intact but for my Polo 2011 1.2 MPI, the clutch plate got worn out and also the shocker after 75000 km driven by same person.
Agree with you talks. Unprofessional technicians and agencies are bad mouthing about the well made underrated cars. Fault is with European brands too as they made it little complicated to work for average technician.
Hi Sunderdeep, I recently bought a Slavia 1.0 AT and there’s a whistling sound coming inside the cabin and the engine bay. The noise is there at idle and tend to fades away when RPM crosses 1.5k. Is this actually a problem and should I be concerned?

We were interested in purchasing one more car in the next 3-4 months. VW Jetta 2015, Vento 2017, Skoda Octavia 2015, Rapid 2017, etc for cheap or similar pricing. Petrol or diesel, both will do. Diesel with DSG, Petrol is okay with manual. I think they'll fit under 5 lakhs very easily.

i had 2012 skoda yeti 4 x 4 --two years back sold the car after facing daily electronics failure ,even company and outside workshop were not able to repair the same .Fuel level sensor was not avaiable anywhere even after 6 months of search ,haldex failed at 60000kms , parking sensor were also not working ,music system was making strange noise --------so before falling for marketing videos ---talk to end user and he will tell you his real pain ---as company dosent stand behind customer for parts ---you can repair mechanical faults --what about electrical and electronics fault which are never ending.

MunishJi you nailed it. Das Welt Auto Bangalore did same. Mera 2011 1.2 TDI model ko they were quoting 85K Rs for just 90K KM run which is serviced regularly every year at VW ASC only with service record manual. They were saying the resale value of VW is not good. If they say this , how can we purchase new Taigun or Virtus ...Thats why people are running away from VAG vehicles .....VW company and Das Welt behave as 2 different companies ...whereas MAruti TruValue and Maruti new vehicles work hand in hand .....

Sunderdeep bhaiya i am your old subscriber and right now driving Polo 1.2 MPI (2013) and Ameo 1.2 (2017),
All of your points are noteworthy but the thing is whom to trust, there are very few trustworthy mechanic outside to work with VAG cars, for example recently i took my polo to VW service center for suspension replacement and they quote me around 45k than i found a workshop in gurugram and get my suspension replaced they charged me around 18K with OEM parts but the i am not completely satisfied with their work .
This information is worth lakhs. Someone can save a lot of money from this discussion if they find good people to work with.
I have a polo 1.5 tdi it has clocked 1.17 L kms in odo and stage 2 tuned with suspension and break upgrades. It puts the new virtus and kushak to shame from stand still. I don’t even feel like upgrading when there is nothing new in the new cars. The only thing to note is to get a good technician. I stopped taking my car to company after 60k.

So true, i have polo petrol 2011, it's shocker/suspension had some issues, when I visited VW workshop gurgaon, they asked for 80,000 repair charges. I was shocked, as my car was very less driven 50k that too on gurgaon city roads only. I was in the same dilemma how this could possibly be fair value for repair, while they evaluated my car for 1.20 lacs only.
I would never going to buy any vw car in future, I have trust in brand but their dealers are thief, one time I raised similar issue on skoda twitter post, their country head got offended and asked me that "where did u get this info do you have first hand exp with such dealers if u know any then name them otherwise don't dent out image" I got to knw after some months he left his job in skoda. Bcz of these crooks these brands are loosing customers.
Btw thanks for this video I'll definitely take munish consultation for repair of my car's suspension bcz it's my first car I don't want to sell it bcz of these thugs. if something can be arranged in ncr will definitely get it done from there, otherwise will come to Chandigarh.

Also i want to ask one more thing sunderdeep bhaiya, i saw many people giving advice to change gear oil of VW car after 50k KM or 1 Lakh KM so i also decided to change gear but as i was unable to source genuine VW gear oil i called VW service center they told me sir gear oil in VW car is life long and you dont need to worry about and dont need to change gear oil. Please tell me what is your opinion and Have you ever changed gear oil in POLO

Head gas kit problem and company was quoting 40k and was forcing me to sell for 60k my budget was tight I went for after market repair for 9k and it’s running like a charm no issues just completed 1L on Odo… these dealers are like looters if you try to buy used car they will 2x the value and when you sell they will buy comparing it to scrab

I have a 2013 VE Polo TDI Highline that has 14:29 run 187000 KMs. The only problem I face is when I go to the service centre, otherwise the car runs smoothly.
Basically company is big fraud in not providing parts feely and at reasonable price and hence customers are forced to sell cars at huge discount. Electronics problem are big issue in volkwagen/skoda cars .Mechanically you can take care of any car.
Sunderdeep Ji your car is shining like new, I would really like to know how you maintain your car as swirl marks are inevitable. For me the only way I get it machine polished in a year or half. Please make a video on car maintenance.

Vw guys said they will buy my vento for 1-1.25 lacs only. And i was really disappointed that even VW is not giving good resale for their vehicle.
And on the same evening I was able to sell that car to a Dealer for 1.8 lacs
If I were to sell that to an individual that could go little higher in 2 lacs range.
If an outside used car dealer can give better price than VW guys, then imagine the experience a VW user have when they say k bhai aapki gaadi ka 1 lakh se zyada ni milega.
And then they say why people buy hyundai maruti or even honda

I know the potential of VAG what driving dynamics it offers but in my case it has been opposite in repairs i have 2008 Honda City GXI driven it 2.3 lakh Km , never changed its shockers neither clutch plate and everything is still intact but for my Polo 2011 1.2 MPI, the clutch plate got worn out and also the shocker after 75000 km driven by same person.
Agree with you talks. Unprofessional technicians and agencies are bad mouthing about the well made underrated cars. Fault is with European brands too as they made it little complicated to work for average technician.
Hi Sunderdeep, I recently bought a Slavia 1.0 AT and there’s a whistling sound coming inside the cabin and the engine bay. The noise is there at idle and tend to fades away when RPM crosses 1.5k. Is this actually a problem and should I be concerned?
