Listen to your customers springfield!!! We need the barrel and comp sold in a package to up grade our hellcats we already own!!
They just got released today!! Thank the Lord!!!
@@joshuakarlsen1377for the hellcat pro tho
@@joshuakarlsen1377 Thank you Lord!!!
Listen to your customers Part 2! We need just the compensator sold by itself for the 4.4 threaded barrel!!!
Please sell this separate so we, your consumers, don’t have to buy a whole new hellcat. There are some aftermarkets being made but I know y’all don’t want to miss out on sales and having the best customer support you can have
Agreed. I JUST bought a Hellcat and then this comes out. I would have waited, had I known, but since I already pulled the trigger [no pun intended lol] I would like to add the comp.
I agree it would be nice but the thing that irks me about Springfield Armory is they do not sell gun parts per say. no barrels-- triggers- recoil spring-and other internal stuff where if you owned a Glock you can order FROM GLOCK all kinds of internal parts. Only way to get those from Springfield is have an issue and send gun in. Even CZ you can order small internal parts.
@@leesamuelson Yeah ok but does a Glock have GRIP ZONE! Because I don’t think so.
@@rifleshooterchannel208 i happen to own 2 Springfields.
@@leesamuelson That’s a shame.
So glad I waited on the Hellcat. Got this RDP and in love with it.
Please make a Ramjet style compensator for the Hellcat Pro 🔥& a 17 mag …I know you guys can do it …Game changers
When the market is as hot as it is right now, manufacturers can typically sell everything that they produce so they hold back new products for when they can't use 100% of their production capacity on existing products. Kudos to Springfield for releasing something (at least partially) new / improved even though they certainly don't NEED to. Also, +1 to the many comments asking for the barrel, comp and trigger kit to be please/ eventually available as upgrade kits to exiting 'cats.
The separate barrel and comp is available now,I ordered mine this morning!
Just got mine in the mail today (5 month late reply); gotta get it to the range to see how she shoots!
I just got mine today. How does it shoot? I won’t have time to take it out for a week or so
When will we be able to purchase the barrel and comp? You have thousands and thousands of loyal Hellcat owners who want this!!!
Finally they listened, did you get one. I sure did and I love it. Even got my pops one for Father’s Day lol
As A Springfield fan (do not like glocks) I did not know about this feature before now. I picked up my ops hellcat today or else I would have purchased the model equipped with a treaded barrel . I would request you consider making available a threaded barrel so your dedicated customers can add this feature to their Hellcat. I own about 6 Springfield weapons. I don’t thing it is too much to ask to give back to your loyal customers.
No one cares. Go away.
Will you sell the threaded barrel alone?
They do now.
Thank you I thought mine was broke. Gotta follow the steps!
Amazing gun
Can’t wait to install on my echelon
hmm...looks like this hellcat can accept a suppressor :D
Yeah I just picked this up at a show and I looked up the Springfield site and they show it with one on the Armory life page.
Just buy a True barrel. Then buy a suppressor
@@Chapacabra23 as soon as they release it, I just may! Thanks!
Will the barrel and comp each be sold separately?
From what I have heard in FB groups who call them --nope.
@@leesamuelson their instagram said they'll consider it if there's a demand. People should bug the shit out of them about it for a few months
@@cmvid3 i was just responding as from 2 different people that actually called SA and they were told no. SA does not have a history of selling gun parts at all. like barrels or internals . But other major brands do. The barrel and comp are a bit of a sales gimmick. ( I think it is to compete wit the Sig p365XL) if a person has issues with shooting one now this is not going to miraculously fix that. Plus when the hellcat was being released a big selling point they were touting in all their ads and videos was the stand off device which is now worthless with this gun. SO that also was either a selling gimmick or they just rendered a positive attribute worthless. My biggest interest is the optic. I ordered one to see how it stacks up against the Swampfox and holosun.
@@leesamuelson I'm aware. Scott Folk at Apex Tactical said he already has a design and ready for machining.
A threaded barrel and comp are something I would pay for. I use one on my Canik SC and Taurus TX22. They are great to use for target shooting.
Can you all put the self-indexing cut on the XDM threaded barrel pistols as well, so we can use the compensator on them, too...
Question - Is one half turn 180 degrees from the stopped position? The video show the counter rotation after stop about 270 degrees and then rotate till click. For those trying this instruction already, did you rotate as instructed and as your observed?
Thank you.
I rotated the way I saw it on the video and it worked. Before I watched the video I felt like a jackass because I couldn't get it on there correctly.
Any plans on selling this comp separately?
Okay, time for the dumb noob question: what does a self-indexing compensator do, exactly? I love the Hellcat, but I don’t understand what this is or what it does. Internet search didn’t help, either. Thanks in advance if you answer.
It will blast chamber pressure upwards when the gun is fired to help counter recoil. It helps to prevent barrel rise. Good question.
Just makes it very easy to get proper alignment. Otherwise you are dealing with washers or shims to get the right orientation.
Is it considered a suppressor? Is it not allowed in stayed with suppressor restrictions?
@@gjack2008 It's not subject to supressor tax stamp. Check your local laws to confirm.
This comp has a patent pending design that makes installation and removal easy and does not require shims or additional parts for proper timing.
You guys need to sell just the comp portion so we can put it in the hellcat pro !
Just ordered the comp and threaded barrel today for the pro
it would be awesome if you could attatch the compensator with something other than threads so i could have this in california.
True-Precision makes a threaded barrel but its never in stock 😒
What's the SKU number or part number, please?
Little gun make big bang.
why can you put the comp on when the slide is on the frame? it appears that you physically can do it/ if the firearm is unloaded they why not?
Springfield stop missing out on the extra money and start selling after market parts, this is what the people want.. it would put you on more of a level in comparison to glock, sig, H&k, etc..
Do you know is the thread size on the barrel? Or can I throw a suppressor on if need be? TIA
Give us a Hellcat with an integrated comp like the hellcat pro comp!
Can compensator be installed on other pistols with threaded barrel
it looks like the barrel has a notch in it for the comp to lock into
It depends. The suppressors I know of are not universal caliber friendly.
I want something like this for my xds 9. I can’t find any accessories for it.
Please Springfield listen to your customers sell them separately along with the osp slide even if it’s more than all together I already have a hellcat and wouldn’t mind pay extra
Will this fit on the pro
Can't find this on your website.
it's there now
What are the Thread size ?
why is need disassembly gun ? i try without it and no problem ...
i think they are pushing that so as to further help idiots from blowing their hand off because they didnt fully clear the firearm... vast majority are smarter than that but those few.... those damned few lol
You guys realize SF is not going to answer here dont you? My wife has the RDP Hellcat. Its a dream to shoot. Now to put one on my elite 3.8 osp 10mm. I'm thinking the tactical barrel >??
I was about to order my Hellcat this coming Saturday. I'm so glad I came across this new video.
What's going to be the going price?
Around $850-$900 as of now.

@@jonclarke9929 Nice. That's about what I paid for my OSP model + Swampfox Sentinel optic. I'll be forking over another couple of hundred for the threaded barrel and compensator.
So basically don't remove compensator.
You're going to have to for cleaning...
Why are you supposed to remove the slide. It’s easily installed without having to.
GIMME
Haha that thing is so tiny
