If you clean while assembled you can feed the boresnake up the mag well then down the barrel, that way it gets the feed ramp a bit better as you pull it through

Yeah, that should stay dry. I might take the pin out and pour 91 rubbing alchohol on it to clean it, but never ballistol or any other “lubricant”. It can cause soft primer hits, when it gunks up with debris over time if you put oil in it.

Good video! I read an interesting article the other day from a Viet Nam vet that said handguns that are routinely field stripped are more likely to wear out sooner than later due to effect on clearance tolerances over a period of time. Basically to leave it together as much as possible and clean out the chamber area, ramp and run a brush or snake through the barrel, using solvent if needed forma very dirty barrel, but that was the crux of the story. I have no way to validate this information however!

I was wondering about the front part of the frame. I rented the Pro and underneath the barrel it looked silver as if the paint came off the frame. Have you seen this and can the color come back? I also noticed on the Pro where you can connect a light, it was completely worn down.

Question : wont spraying the slide get solvent inside the striker assembly?

Yes it will, he doesn’t exactly know what’s he’s doing for a quick clean. But this would be fine if you planned on breaking down the slide and cleaning the springs and striker system and even the ejector system. This gun is not a hard gun to keep clean but it can be a little crazy taking apart

Yep, even on the HC manual it says make sure to not lubricate that area

Does that grip rub the hell out of your hand after shooting it for a while? I only got to handle it at the counter at the range.. They didn't have one I could shoot.. But it seemed pretty rough..

The grip isn't as rough as you'd expect, I've gotten to shoot the Hellcat and the Hellcat Pro and can say they're both great guns. I personally think they have great grips and in one shooting session I shot about 200 rounds out of it and my hands were perfectly fine

Why wouldn't you also spray the gun body...with Gun Scrubber?
