Hi Chuck, I really rate the ANI F160. I'm not sure if you have seen any of my videos on the ANI guns, but they all perform really well and are very well priced. I think it's a much better tool than the FLG5/SGK600 gun and is cheaper. Thanks for watching buddy, much appreciated 👍
Hi Lesli, The PRD627 is a little different, I think , which is good as it will suit different styles and applications, I need to do more testing but I think that's the way it will go, good guns for sure
Thanks for yet another brilliant video. It is very nice to have someone with the knowledge and the passion to go out of his way to show so many guns and what make them different from one to another. I was very excited to see the PRD627 in action, so excited that I ordered one 2 days ago 😂. I was looking for a "WBX-like" spray gun to use as a basecoat gun at work, it seems your advices had me get the perfect match. Thanks again Pete 🤙
Hi Quentin, Thanks, mate, I genuinely enjoy seeing what makes these different rather than just saying they are. I guess it's my engineering background that makes me rather inquisitive why the changes to parts are made and what effects that has. Thanks for watching. It really is appreciated 👍
Hi again @@peteshobbies5383 Quick question, I received my prd627 and would like to change the swivel air connector for a normal one, do you happen to know the size of the thread by any chance ? Cheers
Hey Pete always love the videos. Everytime I think of a new gun or a difference between 2, I get a notification from your channel answering everything. I want to get one of the split tip versions since I’ve never sprayed one before and quite excited but need help choosing between the 717 or the 627. Thanks Pete
Hmmm, this is ironically right on time as I was wondering how the 627 compares to the 717. I would suspect the 627 is probably closer to the stated air consumption, making it less than ideal for the hobbyist at home. The same holds true for the LS400 & WS400, both being a bit air hungry, though ine more than the other. Well, now we're getting to the meat of the selection Porphis offers. The 717 is definitely the most likely split tip option for home use. Thanks for these videos, Pete. You're really doing a service for the paint community as usual.
Hi Boss, Yes, certainly early in, it seems the PRD627 is not just a PRD717 in a different form, I'm still playing with it but it does seem a little different, as you say, if it needs that extra pressure probably not the best thing to use with a limited air supply. Cheers, Boss, I do enjoy seeing what the differences are with these Porphis guns, even though it's costing me a fortune 😂, well, to be fair, they aren't expensive compared to most, but I think you'll get my point 🙂
I’m enjoying these porphus videos. Picked up a 715 after watching your testing with it. Really a nice quality gun. You’re going to make me want to get more. Thanks as always for the information on them. Can’t find these things from their website
Hi Scott, Good to hear you're enjoying the videos and the Porphis guns. The PRD715 was the first gun along with the WP99VG and the PRD625 I had from them, I was really impressed with them, hence the reason I bought more, there is a fair range, so something for everyone I think , cheers mate 👍
I ordered a 715 mp 1.3 thanks for the discount code. Shipping to united states seems a little slow. Haven't received it yet I'm very much looking forward to it. Thanks again
Hi buddy, I think you'll like it, it's a fast gun so be prepared 😉. Hopefully, it won't be too long. Let us all know how you get on with it. It's good for others to read, cheers, mate 👍
Hi mate, with a lot of the cheaper Chinese guns, they mention different setups, like RP, MP, HVLP, etc, but they are the same, just marked differently. The Porphis guns are different. They are much better quality and are genuinely different from each other when they are called MP, HVLP, etc
Hi Mate, I'm pretty sure I covered this in one of my videos, I'm away at the moment, so I can't check. It's lighter than the 715, so it's around 460grams
Hi Mate, it's depends on what you want and, like, as they are different, conventional fast gun, the PRD715 or PRD615, lower pressure, slower, very fine atomisation, the PRD717
Hi mate, Depends on what you want and like, good and fast, PRD715 or PRD625, lower pressure, slower and good, the PRD717, haven't used the PRD627 enough yet but its looking somewhere between to two 😂, never easy is it 😉
@travlite8496 They are quite different. The WS400 is a much slower gun, so it's a bit of a miss match. It's looking like the PRD627 is the nearest to the WS in terms of speed and pressures, so that might be the best match-up
Hi Pete, very interesting video again mate so it's just the flange around the edge of the tip that makes it a high or low pressure gun or are the tips from the 717 and 627 different as well🤔have to say that the fan patterns from both of those guns are really nice with good atomisation👌 I'm not sure if you will continue to speak to me now that you have your name etched on the side of your guns Pete🤔🤣you are now in the professional league as all the high profile painters on here get their logo or name on their Porphis guns🧐😎😅😉 All being well I'll get what's left of your guns back to you tomorrow mate😁you can then get your name etched on them🫣🤭cheers mate👍
Hi John, Yes, the tips on the 717 and 627 are shaped differently. That's why I think they behave slightly differently , I'm still playing with the 627, but it definitely appears that way. It's actually pretty cool to have my name on the guns. It looks great as it is obviously done in the same etching as the manufacturers logo, etc. so it will last well 😀. I thought you may shun me now, mate, but I'm prepared for that, so if you could send my guns back before you stop talking to me, that would be great 😂, Cheers, John 👍
I recon you must be quite made up having your name on the Porphis guns Pete, it's quite an achievement that not many on here gets to have so I'm really pleased for you mate👏👏👏👌 I'll be posting your guns back in the morning mate I'll then send you the tracking number, I can't quite remember which guns you sent me though so I've sent the FLG 5 and the old ANI F1/NS hope that's ok mate🤔😅🤣
@JohnWD40TC02 Thanks Mate, from memory, it was the WS400 Series 2 and the Sata X5500 with different tips that I sent you, just so it jogs your memory 😉
Hello Pete....me Personally..on a Budget gun..i say ANI F160..LOVE ur opinion and thoughts of the Industry

THANKS FOR THE NEW VIDEO, VERY INFORMATIVE, I AM STILL STICKING WITH THE PORPHIS PRD 717 VS❤

@quentinguillot7670 Hi Buddy, No, sorry, I don't , I've never had the need to remove it, so I couldn't even guess 🫣

I really liked the pattern on the 625
Hi David, the PRD625 sprays the same as the PRD715, very good fast guns, great fun to use 👍
I saw on a chinese site about spray guns they mentioned the atomization size .guess it would be same as convention or rp or trans or te

Hello Pete, I'm curious to know the weight of the 625, could you check? Whith no cup ok! Thanks
Hi Mate, I'm pretty sure I covered this in one of my videos, I'm away at the moment, so I can't check. It's lighter than the 715, so it's around 460grams
I got and email from them and witch gun do you say is the best, i really don't need another gun but may buy one so im asking what would you purchase ?
Hi Mate, it's depends on what you want and, like, as they are different, conventional fast gun, the PRD715 or PRD615, lower pressure, slower, very fine atomisation, the PRD717
What is your opinion about spray gun Ntool TE20/T110?
Hi mate, the Gti Pro Lite clones are all the same. No matter what name is put on the side, they aren't particularly good. The 4000B is much better
So out of the whole line what gun do you suggest for a clear only Pete?
Hi mate, Depends on what you want and like, good and fast, PRD715 or PRD625, lower pressure, slower and good, the PRD717, haven't used the PRD627 enough yet but its looking somewhere between to two 😂, never easy is it 😉
@@peteshobbies5383 I would like to see you put the 715 vs the ridiculous priced ws400 gen 2 that's the same gun as the gen 1 :)

When is the PHS 135 video coming out?
Soon
My friend, why don't you care about Sagoula weapons?
Hi Mate, I'm not quite sure what you're asking?
Hi pete have you sprayed the new sagola 4600 clear pro yet@peteshobbies5383
@refinishtechnology2529 Yes, I should have one on Monday. I am looking forward to seeing what the differences are: cheers, mate 👍
@peteshobbies5383 ok thanks I will be looking out for the video Monday
@refinishtechnology2529 I'll be getting the gun Monday so will need some time with it before I can get a video out, hopefully it's won't be too long 👍
