5:47 There was a nasty event like this here in Colorado in 2019. A driver with 0 experience driving on mountain roads was hauling a fairly heavy load down I-70 (east bound) out of the mountains. His brakes failed. He was on grades as steep as 7% coming down from the Tunnel. He passed at least 2 runaway truck ramps but didn't know he should use them. At the bottom of the hill was a rush-hour traffic jam. He tried to avoid hitting anyone, but ended up plowing into many cars. There was a huge fire. Four people were k!lled. Many more were injured. He was initially sentenced to 110 years in prison - but should not have had such a harsh penalty. The company-owned truck was poorly maintained and they sent him on a run he was not qualified for. The governor reduced his sentence to 10 years. There are videos on youtube if you want to check out the details.
The pickup trucks with the seating in the back in that clip are crazy! I hope no one was in that one that got crumpled and the one with people in the back had a narrow miss! I think I will skip those if I ever go to Thailand.

1:20 I seriously can’t even believe that he’s able to laugh at that guy for spinning out while that music is intentionally playing from his car! 😂😂😂😂😂 bro if anything he spun around to point and laugh at you for listening to that trash. Lmaooo
12:41 It's not his job to swerve out of the way... you're always taught to stop, not swerve, potentially causing a separate accident. It was the black SUV's fault completely.
4:40 that driver should lose his license, permanently.
@@Icyelsrp lol
Sometimes it doesn't matter how safely someone drives if other people are intent on being reckless.
With old worn out paper plates on the car there's a good chance that driver doesn't have a license or insurance anyways.
@@ashleybrooke2087Really more to the point is that oftentimes a lot of these people don't think they're being reckless.
Both the other drivers and the cammers.
Overconfidence is bad.
Caution and paranoia are how you win.
It looks to me like the cammer is trying some insurance scam. They go from 60mph to 50mph at impact, like a brake-checking situation. The highway they're on looks like it's a 70mph zone. So yeah, braking from 60mph to 50mph on a 70mph highway will definitely get you rear-ended.
7:49 please if you’re ever on the shoulder stand outside your vehicle for this exact reason. I know it was raining but imagine that family standing outside the car waiting and they got to watch this happen instead of getting absolutely clobbered. 😂
Love my man at 11:54, reppin' the Ghost inside. Love that band!
6:13damn that truck caused lot of damage to others that itself 😅
10:33 this is why you go slow af when someone is turning into places almost rear ended them before they sideswiped you
7:01 boneheaded muscle car move. Glad the civic occupants survived
you could rename this compilation "A common-sense plea for robust public transit." so many senseless wrecks that didn't need to happen.
3:22 the white truck was NOT in the wrong but maybe the accident could have been avoided very doubtful tho
Makes me happy someone listening to H. S by Tom Cardy as much as I do lol.
At 1:00
the context is so needed. on the brake failure one from thailand i was just shouting ‘stop! what are you doing?? STOP!!!’
2:27 that van was break dancing! I wonder how far that other car went in the opposite direction! 😆😂🤣
As much fun as it is to laugh at Cybertrucks, a 6ft stepladder doesn't fit in the bed of *most* modern pickups. People want bigger passenger cabins, so they only get a 5.xft bed
@@xirabolt
That's why I have an '88 Silverado - 8 ft bed.
That's why I have a 78 Dodge with an 8' bed. A truck with a baby bed is nearly useless as a truck
@@fubarmodelyard1392
Agree. What's the point? Get an SUV.
Anyone have an answer?
@@kathleenredick275 I'm not hauling a load of gravel or a new fridge in an SUV
@@xirabolt
You're not hauling much in a 'pickup truck' with a 4 to 6 ft bed, either.
I have a truck for towing & hauling stuff, and an SUV for hauling people.
1:17 As someone who grew up in that state, a lowered and stanced car on Connecticut back roads was a dumb idea even before the reckless driving.
6:28 new fear unlocked
Honestly, I’d SO watch an episode of this that is JUST cybertucks being idiots, that would be hilarious
10:06 And by "Spidey senses" I assume you mean your eyes seeing that massive truck pull in front of you. 🙄

1:46 nightmare blunt rotation
Watching these makes me realize a lot of people make the right decision when driving. But when they don't, man it can get really bad really fast. After a while you can see where the accident is going to happen. Kind of a teaching aid, you can learn where the danger points pop up.
"And that's why we go slow." Hope that isn't her life motto.
4:25 where was cammer looking that the missed the vehicle coming straight at them?
She was distracted and didn't even apply brakes so she was either on her phone.
Cyber trucks serve absolutely zero purpose.
And they’re ugly asf
The cammer at 4:16 was clearly not paying attention since she never attempted to brake despite the other car clearly coming into her lane.
Thank you for not having a cyber truck thumbnail for your video.
Don't worry, there are two pictures of cybertrucks for no reason around the 730 mark!
Wait...the thumbnail IS a cybertruck tho 😅
@@MatzoTovoh there's definitely a reason for both...their drivers are idiots.
Also cybertrucks fucking suck. They should be made fun of every time.
All I can think of is how the innocent 'bystanders' are in the wrong place at the wrong time, that just hurts my heart 😮😳😧😢
3:40 LOL, that reaction from the cammer victim. So chill.
I can’t stand drivers that think instead of slowing down and waiting a bit longer to pass any type of obstruction on their lane instead swerve onto my lane with no fks given.
00:40 Man, let the bus merge.
I like it how at 8:16 "The Devil Went Down to Georgia" is playing! 😈
Lol…That grey Camry thought it was not going to get hit.
When I was a kid I watched many shows/cartoons in which brakes were tampered with, so the vehicle couldn't stop properly. I also received road safety education at a young age (it was the 90's, we received education for all kinds of safeties), and I remember being afraid of being in a vehicle with no working brakes.
5:48 and I was right to be afraid.
NYC driving is 🤪 nuts! On a recent trip the taxi made his own lane, didn't think nothing about it and crammed us into lanes and being way off of where we told him. It was nuts!
kinda surreal when i saw the Goergetown clip as I drive on that road every day and it's not even a big highway road or anything
9:07 I actually think they stopped because traffic ahead was stopped, and just left the gap so people could turn if needed and if it was possible.
This one has some really gnarly collisions in it. Be safe out there, people.
5:48 that is soooo scary!!! Especially with those people in the back of the truck….
2:46 why is this written as if we all know Christina lol 👋
2:16 that old Buick still looks new what a shame.

2:57 that sucks because those vans are hard to import.
1:22 man, hurricane ian knocked out all the traffic lights near me for like 2 weeks and you literally couldnt drive because of how stupid people were with it, even with cops patrolling making sure people used them like stop signs
I remember the 2005 season in Central Florida. Osceola set up major intersections on Rt 192 as right turn only. I think everywhere drivers are ignorant when the lights are out. I also believe there should be mandatory online annual training to maintain your drivers license.
I've noticed that in America a red light means you can stop but you can still go? Like there needs to be fines in place to stop these people
These cybertruck pics are grasping at straws at this point it's annoying I wanna see people doing stupid shit not driving stupid trucks
Agreed. We all agree they're dumb, but why are there random pictures being placed in what is supposed to be a channel about footage?
Because more people want to click on a video making fun of that shitty car then want to watch dash cams broadly.
@@prahanormal Dang... you're definitely onto something there. Maybe Dashcam Nation would compromise by using cybertrucks for thumbnails but not putting the stupid pictures in there. That way they still at least get the click... unlikely though.
@@MatzoTov that would be an excellent bit.
4:30...the cammer was partly to blame. She had a clear view of that silver car coming, had plenty of time to stop, & she just kept going. Just bc you have the right of way doesn't mean others know this, or will give it to you.

A lot of these accidents can be avoided with defensive driving.
Thank you for the video(s). The short info-blurbs are taking away from the POV experience, IMHO. No disrespect. If I was doing my thesis on road accidents I could see where it might have been helpful. Butz I ain't... So I left early (and clearly signaled first:). Cheers
those guys in the back of the truck at 5:49 must've pooped themselves

"Is he leaving? Is he leaving?" Jesus christ absolute no brain from some of these cammers.
1:52 Witnessed it and had video...5 minutes to stop and provide a phone number. Selfish ass people man.
A lot of these coalitions are really terrible road designs. A left turn on a 4 lane road with a turn lane in the middle and traffic going 70 is a recipe for disaster.
"The rescue team had to use the jaws of life to open the back door."
Okay, so, use a different door? There's FIVE doors on that ... thing ... so, use one of the other four.

Am I crazy or a lot of drivers hit their horns before thinking about using the brakes to prevent the crash? Sometimes you may be "right", but is it worthy to raise the chances of a collision just because you are "right"? lol
It's amazing how quickly they reach for the horn, honking is never my first instinct
These videos are really just a game of Guess The Song with the added bonus of dumb people driving :)
