The road sign said "Topanga Cyn", so I'm guessing this is California. The California Driver's Handbook *_says_* "Start the turn in the left lane closest to the middle of the street. To reduce the risk of collision, end the turn in the left lane closest to the middle of the street going in your vehicle’s direction." Either way, the car ahead was hovering on both lanes. They could have simply gone for the lane change but then they would have cut the cammer off right after the intersection, potentially forcing cars behind them to stop in the middle of the it. Really, what they should have done is they should have waited in their own lane for the cammer to pass. I don't know if that is what they were trying to do but they were doing it on top of the dashed line, thus preventing the cammer from driving by.
Brakes are for losers! Cool people will crash their car even when the collision is avoidable for no other reason than that they technically had right-of-way.
The truck that slammed into the concrete sign post at the walmart is like deja vu for me. I've seen that exact thing happen at a different walmart; the dude driving hit it so fast he ended up getting taken out of the parking lot in an ambulance. Absolutely insane.
Sometimes I miss driving, and really want to get my drivers license that I let expire. I watch these and feel justified in my decision to stay at home and just have everything delivered. Even staying at home I am not safe, as three times in six years a bad crash happened on my corner, and two of those times it happened just after I had mowed my grass. If I were just ten minutes late, I would have been crushed from people driving 55 to 70 in a 25 zone & opposing traffic running the stop sign, in a hurry to get more alcohol.
Remember, your eyes are much better than most dashcams with details such as license plates at a distance. Read out plate numbers for your dashcam's audio to pick up.
16:30 If the cammer had made a proper left turn (lane to lane) the incident wouldn't have happened. Maybe if some of these cammers would slow down to match the flow of traffic, they would be able to see what the traffic ahead of them was doing in time to respond safely (referencing the two that "got cut off" by semi trucks).
11:40 Not saying it's your fault they almost swerved into you, but if you hadn't ran that red light you wouldn't have been in that predicament to begin with.
6:55 If you hit someone from behind who stops abruptly, you are usually at fault for not keeping enough distance or being distracted. Always keep enough distance to stop. There could be anything on the road to make the car in front of you do an emergency stop or swerve to avoid an obstacle.
Its a altima driver too and they think they are the next fast and furious paul walker I expected it to do something wrong And the driver on the right makes a full left turn speeding in different lanes
@8:45 Anyone who is caught doing that should be forced to go to a driving education class/school. Merging, especially onto a traffic free freeway is a basic function.
In Thailand, drivers rarely use their horns, even when dealing with bad drivers, as it can easily escalate into road rage. I don’t understand why honking here feels like declaring war on some people.
its kind of that way where I live, flipping someone off is pretty normal, honking is wanting to fight. I was in one US city and you would think the hoen was the only way they had to control the car, no brakes, no sterring just honking
11:12 You should have anticipated that the truck might want to change lanes as there was a split in the road coming up. The truck indicated correctly. Cammer is at fault for not anticipating.

No, they were in the intersection BEFORE the light went red. By your judgment, both vehicles ran a red light. In any case, that still doesn't excuse NOT checking the vehicle's blind spot before changing lanes. The rules of traffic in most western nations all give priority to the vehicle that is NOT altering any aspect of their driving, putting the onus of yielding to the vehicle that IS making a change in direction, lane of travel, whatever. You're probably in one of these videos somewhere.
Hydroplaning starts at around 50 mph, and when you pass a bus or a semi, the air pressure changes as soon as your vehicle passes the front of the bus or semi on your right. This change in air pressure is what causes many to lose control. I noticed this in 1977 when watching a Cadilac try passing a Greyhound bus I was on during a windy snowstorm. As soon as the Cadilac finished passing, I saw that as soon as he finished his pass, the tail of his car passed the front of the bus, and the Cadilac started spinning around and around. The bus was breaking, trying not to hit him; the Cadillac spun several times and came to rest on the right side of the highway with no contact. I saw, and I understood what happened, and I learned from it. I am now 74 years old and have never had an accident.

@@stanleyhape8427 There was a cammer in one of this videos that was super mad at a shop for quoting a repair *UNDER* the "totaled" price.
He actually sued them because "that would not be a safe repair" just so he could force the car to be "totaled" and he could get a payout.
That or a small amount of damage on the body costs 2-5k

Those old chevys were built different.
i know! There's barely any damage all he needs is a bumper, for the front at least.
4:54 Totalling a vehicle doesn't mean a vehicle isn't drivable. A total loss (or a vehicle being "totaled") is when a vehicle would cost more to repair than the current value of the vehicle.
most insurance companies will let you buy the vehicle if you want to get it fixed, They will pay you for it and they used to give you good deal on it if you wanted to keep it
That ram in the parking lot is your average ram driver.
Too much RAM, no enough DODGE. 10:10.
The only person I know who's ever done that was driving a Chevy.
But.... it was a woman. :P
"Oh its a dodge, nothing to see here"
Yeah well I drive a Ram and it does suck seeing other Ram drivers drive under speed limits and park poorly.
“Under speed limits” 🤣🤣 that’s not possible for ram drivers
19:00 he probably thought the sirens were from the ambulance right behind him and was hurrying to clear the intersection
@@moshecohen127 does he not have directional hearing?? If there is a sound to your side you can tell from what side it's coming from. This is just gross negligence of enforcement of health standards for drivers. Would you let a deaf person be a surgeon?
@@wegorz9 lol no need to be so dramatic. I was just confused as to how it was possible but I think this explanation makes sense. I don't think it's a lack of proper hearing, he probably thought he was doing the right thing and got overwhelmed. Yes, I would let a deaf person be a surgeon. A blind person, probably not.
Maybe. But such a person should not drive any more.
I worked with a guy who was EXTREMELY hard of hearing . He wore a headset connected to his phone so he could listen to music when he drove.
Some people just don't use their brains.
Some people do not have good directional hearing, but that's no excuse for not looking.
At 18:30- I'm a retired school bus driver (Louisville, KY). That intersection was on my bus route. The idiot you had to contend with there (sadly) has plenty of company. Imagine dealing with that while operating a 13 ton steel box full of kids!
It's 13 tons gross. Kids don't weigh that much. You're at maybe 5-7 tons on a daily basis.

At 16:29... the dude with the camera was in the wrong. Turning left into the far lane. Person ahead turned properly into the far left and then into the right lane.
this needs highlighted cuz cam guy was clearly aggressive, impatient and dumb, so yeah on him, other guy shoulda signaled though
@@Ferrari250Spyder maybe it's diff for every state, but for my state, it's okay to turn left into either lane if there's only one left-turning lane. the problem would be if you almost went into that right lane first and swerved back into the far left lane, if that makes sense.
The road sign said "Topanga Cyn", so I'm guessing this is California. The California Driver's Handbook *_says_* "Start the turn in the left lane closest to the middle of the street. To reduce the risk of collision, end the turn in the left lane closest to the middle of the street going in your vehicle’s direction." But then the diagram that illustrates that *_clearly_* shows that you can go into either lane. (p21, FWIW.)
So, ???
@@wbfaulk yeah, it's just weird here in california lol afaik, it's legal to turn into any lane if you're coming from a single left turn 😅 i'm assuming the handbook is basically giving a tip more than a rule lolol
Either way, the car ahead was hovering on both lanes.
14:57 how are you a commercial driver that was a safe lane change and you sped up to pretend to get cut off

If I were just ten minutes late, I would have been crushed from people driving 55 to 70 in a 25 zone & opposing traffic running the stop sign, in a hurry to get more alcohol.

if you live in florida you should excwpt that everyone is a idiot and drive accordingly
I’ve decided I am invisible which is why they dont see me. 😅
Why do people not respect each others' boundaries in public roads or lots?
Cause they are self centered and don’t care
Don't you khow? The road belongs to them, and we're simply allowed to drive on it.

It's still someone changing lanes basically in the middle of an intersection onto another car without blinkers.

2:41 Love your neighbor, how Ironic.
6:55 If you hit someone from behind who stops abruptly, you are usually at fault for not keeping enough distance or being distracted.
Always keep enough distance to stop. There could be anything on the road to make the car in front of you do an emergency stop or swerve to avoid an obstacle.
And it wasn't even an emergency stop, she simply brakes and the car behind didn't.
4:20 meh that wasn’t bad. 4:25 oh…

And the driver on the right makes a full left turn speeding in different lanes
14:50 why did you then swerve into their lane and attempt to hi them though?
14:34 this person is going 15 over the speed limit and is still given over 5 seconds to react to a semi crossing lanes
Twisted dog must be high on drugs cuz that tractor/trailer didn’t do a damn thing wrong!

In Thailand, drivers rarely use their horns, even when dealing with bad drivers, as it can easily escalate into road rage. I don’t understand why honking here feels like declaring war on some people.
Oh believe me, some people in the USA treat it like a declaration of war too 🤣
its kind of that way where I live, flipping someone off is pretty normal, honking is wanting to fight. I was in one US city and you would think the hoen was the only way they had to control the car, no brakes, no sterring just honking

Absolutely a dash cam is a must..
11:30 The SUV driver probably didn't expect anyone behind them, because the cam car went through a red light.
1:45 LotR mentioned
Pretty sure I yelled "No" about 20 times or more during this video, always makes me afraid to go out and drive again!
