    The cammer at 1:41 is equally at fault as the driver who pulled out because he was driving in the turn lane, before it became the left turn only lane. I highly doubt that the police found the driver of the sedan completely at fault.

Cammer could have been at fault here as well because they were improperly using that middle lane to reach that turning lane. You can even see where the line splits to allow those in the direction the cammer was going to naturally go into the turn lane. Their needs to be way harsher penalties for drunk drivers and people who drive without a license or insurance!

    • @infomase
      @infomase 7 місяців тому +32

      (European here) Harsher penalties won’t keep these people out of the roads. The reason why the US have so much drunk / elderly / disabled drivers is simple : most of the time these people have no other option… If they had access to reliable public transit, they would never choose to drive, and the roads would be way safer for all the other people who **are** able to drive. The youtube channel @flurfdesign makes a good job explaining this from an american perspective (I recommend you watch their video titled “Road Safety is NOT your responsibility”, they discuss drunk driving from 5:30).

    • @LeScratch89
      @LeScratch89 7 місяців тому +9

      @@infomase It needs to be both. Attitudes in the US are different compared to Europe too; it's not solely the lack of transit infrastructure, though that exacerbates it. There's an enormous amount of "ownership thought" for lack of better description in the US, particularly regarding roadways and motor vehicles. You can't adjust that attitude with transit options alone; there's great bus transit and taxi options in my city but people still drive drunk, disabled, and beyond what their age should allow. Because they think they have the right to, rather than a duty to their own (and others') safety.

    1:42 This traffic is packed during rush hours, I recommend do a U-turn instead dashing out in the opening.

    At 11:00, you'd hope an employee could have some sense while driving his company vehicle with the boss's name all over it.

    1:18 that’s not a blind spot mirror. It’s called a cross over mirror and it’s used to see in front of the vehicle to watch kids as they cross in front of the bus.

    Clip from SJ Knows, note 2 things first the dump truck and who ever was next to him on his right left a space for the car to come out, I wouldn't doubt those 2 were waving the car to go ahead, second note the distance the cam car came down the center lane way before the left turn lane (the center lane is meant for drivers to enter establishments left or right, it is not an express lane to the left turn lane) If I was the insurance company viewing this I would blame the cam car for not observing the gap in front of the truck.
