The trophy peace should be made out of pewter not pot metal next I'm curious on how strong the repaired pot metal is afterwards. If you had to repair something that has a little bit of weight to it like a window frame or something heavier and what is the process on plating it afterwards? I know pot metal has a different plating process than aluminum.
Specs are on my website aluminum-weld.com strength videos are found at ua-cam.com/users/aluminum-weld. I have never seen a window frame made of pot metal mostly aluminum. The rod works very well on cast aluminum which is sometimes called pot metal. Pewter is mostly zinc melts around 400 degrss F.
Good work. I did not know you could weld pot metal until now. Thanks!!
Very helpful - thanks for posting!

I cannot answer the plating issue.
How do you avoid toxic fumes?
Hahahahaha
Should have good ventilation already set up.
