Simple and to the point👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽 Thanks for the tip.
That was very informative and helpful. A lot of info in such a short video, thanks!
What a great video straight to the point, thanks!
Just about to tile my bathroom and was going to use the spacers the wrong way. But for this very helpful video, now I know what to do.
Thanks for posting this video. I am tiling a small bathroom, the first time I’ve ever tried this type of project. My house was built in 1872, unfortunately it wasn’t taken care of and the floors are not even any more. I purchased the wedges and am so nervous to begin tiling. Your video answered my questions about using them and whether I needed tile spacers too.
P.s. I’m now going to watch all your other videos
Great video. Thank you so much. I like the leveling wedge recommendation and hope I can one here in the US..
Happy to admit I misused the spacers as u show the first time I ever tiled a wall only to realise my error and couldn't get them out after! Doh!
Good presentation. Thank You
Perfect! Thank you!
Cheers from Houston, Texas, USA...What about the levelers with the wheel that spin to level the tile? Can it be used on walls? What is the best one to use for 1st time installing tile in bathroom...
thank you ❤
WOULD YOU USE BOTH WEDGES AND TILE SPACERS ?
OR JUST WEDGE TYPE.
Hi there . I have matching 12 inch x 12 inch bathroom floor tiles. what mm spacer should I use ?
Well said
Thanks man
Well but you need SOME kind of corner alignment, right? I've seen so many tiles that have even spacing, but individual columns/rows are slightly offset from each other. It doesn't take much to be really noticeable.
I'm thinking of a type of plus sign that has shorter arms, but is thicker, even thicker than it is wide, with a handle on the top. You could pull them out even before the tiles are done setting, and use them in combination with tile leveling spacers.
When you have a spacer in each joint the tile lines up perfectly at the corners. Your concern is not a concern.
@@johnc1256 Not really mate, non-rectified tiles might need cutting the ends off or discarding ones that are too out of spec. Otherwise on a long course/row things can go bad real quick unless you know how to "average" it all out. The pro-tip is to use bigger spacers/grout lines to give yourself wiggle room!
@@Chris11249 I have only used very well built tiles.
I saw you in floor & decor today picking up some green tile for your counter tops. I wanted to ask you for your number but didn’t wanna make it awkward. I can’t stop thinking about you
If using the wedges butter the back of the tile as the wedge pulls the tile away from the substrate.
how to prevent the tiles from sliding away when tightening the wedges? not a single a video on youtube explaining this.
thanks 😊 boss
Pro-tip, not always as easy as it looks. See in the video how the clip moves the other tile away? You gotta pay attention to that. Also, if you collapse the ridges and get a tile set all the way, it's very hard to move them up or down and the clip won't do as much as you think! This video is not an actual "in the field" example!
Can you need tile leveling systems and wedges,we hope you can contact me.
we specialize in this field for dozen years, with the strength of,wirh good quality and pretty competitive price.
First its the wrong way and second was a right way 1st. Also you can face spacers sideways and try that way also. Works the same and much easier to take out when grabbing them. And if you have struggles with that use a scraper to get them out but do it gently on the corners.
Came here because the most recent HomeDepot commercial had the family using these wrong, and I had to confirm.
Wrong! The way you showed at first is correct!
