Can I beat Pokémon X with only Fairy Types using Hardcore Nuzlocke Rules?
Normal Nuzlocke Ruleset:
1. Fainting = Death
2. Can only catch the first Fairy Type Pokémon on each Route (Species Clause); This includes Pokémon that evolve INTO Fairy types, but does NOT include non-Fairy Pokémon that evolved from Fairy types!
3. Nickname Pokémon
Hardcore Nuzlocke Ruleset:
4. No items in battle (held items okay)
5. No leveling past the next gym leader/E4 (at the START of the battle)
6. Play on "Set" battle mode

The live action recreation of the last fight was better than the real one could ever have been.
Ya, I am all for the Paper Mario style fights cant wait to see the sequel fights. "Pokemon Y and the thousand year door"
I have never laughed so much at a pokemon video as I did when the final fight came up. 11/10 would watch again
Agreed. Give this doctor an Oscar
I loved it too and hope he loses the recording once again 😂😂
Honestly was a 10/10 way to deal with lost footage
"Men will literally try to create a global extinction event instead of going to therapy" is one of the best lines I've heard in one of these Nuzlockes.
Basically Fauci and Bill Gates right now.
"Sure, I could go to therapy and try to resolve all this trauma. I could also just stab a few people. And then some more. A lot more."
I’d also like to nominate “Opinions are like assholes, everyone has one and you don’t need to show yours to strangers on the internet.”
Literally subscribed after I heard it
Me ngl...
OK I figured it out:
--Boat: A boat is used as a "ferry" (noun form)
--Equally: The word "equal" is used synonymously with things being fair, so "equal"y is "fair"y
--Carnivaly: Another term for a carnival is a fair, so "carnival"y is "fair"y
--Justy; The words fair and just are used synonymously, so "Just"y is 'fair"y
--Cuisiney: Another term for cuisine is fare, so 'Cuisine'y is "fare'y
--In playy: In baseball, a fair ball is one that is in play, so 'In Play"y is "Fair"y
--Pixie: A pixie is a type of fairy
--Tickety...I'm not sure. Maybe because you pay your "fare" to get a ticket? idk
--Transport: To ferry someone (verb form)
And that's the theme
I was so confused by the names this helps so much 😭
Oh my God thank you
I watched this video the day it came out and could never figure it out thank you so much lol
Thank you so much! This has been bothering me since I first watched this video!!
THANK YOU! I was having so much trouble figuring out the theme!
It's rare to see genuine appreciation for X and Y in these kinds of videos. Most people shit on gen 6, but in my opinion it's a completely fine gen. The designs are a bit hit or miss, sure, and the games are very easy, but c'mon, Kalos as a region has so much soul. Beautiful routes and cities, navigating it is fun because you get to skate around and ride Skiddo, the mega evolution mechanic is fun. X and Y deserve more love.
it’s really refreshing :]
I actually like most of the gen 6 designs a lot, like Aegislash, Florges, Slyveon etc. are all great pokemon and great designs and also gen 6 has easily the best fossil pokemon of any gen, I mean Tyrantrum and Aurorus are SO cool
Megas are easily the best gimmick that Game Freak ever had.
I actually love most of the designs and REALLY tried coming into Kalos with an open mind after Flygon's high praise for it, but... despite all this _"life"_ you guys talk about, it just feels so _empty_ to me. It's really stiff storytelling and really trying to fake a culture and environment and doing a REALLY bad job of it, imo.
Theyre not that bad but the story and character writing sucks. With the exception of the postgame looker story, the one bright spot in xy storytelling
I like when people use "safe and boring" strats like calm mind set-up or toxic stall, as somebody who plays pokemon casually and gets replay value mostly from shiny hunting, I dont know a lot about battling and so strategies like that are actually pretty cool to me. Mad respect to the ppl who do these challenges and all the planning involved, it's awesome and why I watch your videos! @ the haters saying to risk it all on rng: don't hate and donate
Same, here
@@anxiousrambling3558 same here too. Before knowing the existence of his channel i used to depend wholly on rng just focused on attacks and not a single status move in my movesets.
He taught how good and interesting status moves can be especially swords dance calm mind charm and confide. Recently i was stunned how brilliantly he used a useless move rage powder in his blaze black nuzlocke .
Sycamore being apreciatted as he should was my fav part 😆
I remember playing this game for the first time, and having basically the same reaction I’m so glad to know he’s loved here 😌
He was more than appreciated in that part. 😏
Sycamore really is a beautiful man awooga 😳
lmao i had a big fat crush on him in the anime but i was expecting him to be less attractive in the game. when i first watched an X playthrough, surprise-surprise, he was still attractive 😳🕶️🤏

The wipe to that random Solrock trainer is exactly why I could never do these types of run. I don't mind hard games, losing, or restarting, but having to do literally the exact same thing for hours just to return to exactly where I was earlier would just upset me. It doesn't make the run harder, it wastes my time, and that is far worse.
If you're doing them casually, and not for a video, I'd suggest treating a whiteout as the end of an attempt but not actually starting over. Instead you just reload your last save (or something similar that's fun for you). So you're tally of attempts goes up, but you don't have to spend hours getting to the same point. Then you keep the fun of a challenge run, but get the added fun of trying to keep the whiteout tally low. And half the tedium is lost. (Assuming you like the rest of the rules behind the challenge of course.)
The goal of the entire Nuzlocke idea was spawned from a guy trying to have more fun with the game. So as long as you're doing things that make the game fun for you then you're doing it right.
@@CrimsenOverlordVideos Yeah I get what you mean, probably what I would do, but I think I'll stick to Monotype runs, Nuzlockes, randomizers, or a combination of a Randomizer and one of the other 2. I respect him for being able to do it but I was just saying it'd be way to frustrating for me. Like I may do a solo-challenge at worse but that's as far as I could go personally.
@@nahte123456 my weakness is fighting game's. whenever i play online i just get so frustrated with other players being so much better. ill try everything i can think of to do something and i just cant. guilty gear strive is the most revent one i tried to get into and then eventually i got so mad i threw my ps5 controller into the wall destroying it. thankfully I found a 40$ one on ebay which saved me like 30$ so that was good. But yea id rather restart a pokemon game then get so mad i throw a controller and waste miney getting a new one.
@@CrimsenOverlordVideos I did the same thing for my pseudo-nuzlocke.All nuzlocke rules still applied but If I whiteout,I can try the fight again. However,I set the goal of beating the game without whiting-out more than 50 times.I set it 50 because It was a rom hack that was very difficult but at only 18 attempts,My game crashed.
Exactly why I wouldn't do a nuzlocke
Also, for future reference, when you Evolve Eevee into Sylveon, you only need to raise it's heart affection status to two hearts. (along with it having a fairy type move and leveling up) Which only gives you the benefit of increased experience gain, as if it was a traded pokemon gaining experience. It doesn't get additional benefits such as "avoiding the attack because it loved you" or something like that if you keep the heart status at the bare minimum. I personally would have allowed pokemon amie in this case, since the only "broken" mechanic that the Sylveon gets is just a little more experience gain compared to the rest of the party. It doesn't break out of paralysis or confusion or hang on with one hp because of love, it just grows a little faster then everyone else.
Indeed. If anything, when playing with level caps, that bit of extra exp might even turn into an additional disadvantage, seeing as getting a level up at the wrong time can really mess things up. So yeah, I would definitely allow it as well. :)
i mean, he probably knew this. it's just his personal opinion that he found it better to not allow it.
I can't forget Professor Sexy-more 😄 and the final battle is so creative and resourceful. It still managed to show what actually happened.
These are some of my fave nuzlockes bc if the "safer" play styles. I think id find it frustrating if the runs kept getting ruined bc of random chance lmao. Plus seeing a setup wipe is so satisfying, love me some 1 hit kos
Yet he reset a lot of times he didn't get huge power on his azurill which is also random chance.
@@Venemofthe888 yes, but he wasn’t deep into a run risking his whole team for that one azurill, he just wanted a huge power azurill
@@jessicawaite5140 i was taking him literally and poking a hole in his comment
Eh it was annoying when he did a bunch of stuff against Koreans. I would have just swept with gardevoir
@@Venemofthe888 yeah my bad lmao but i mostly meant avoidable random chance in battles lmao, plus i think he needed the ability to pass the gym idk
Toxic stall strats are totaly fine, if those people ever tried nuzlocking in a hardcore rom hack they would wish to have a toxic strat available
rom ?? what do you mean, THIS IS A LEGAL COPY OF POKEMON X. very legal.
I still recall doing a hardcore nuzzlock in Pokemon Crystal, Silver and Ruby (this was around the time Emerald got annonced). Hate stat lowering or raising moves that doesn't deal DMG, hate strats involving nature/passives/Eve's. But I'm not the one playing right now, so I think it's perfectly fine that Dr. Flygon goes with whatever works for him.
Those people probably brute force their way through everything and probably play more casually\only play the story vanilla and think all battles are won that way.
Without toxic, protect or stat boosting attacks you won't get very far in certain battles this applies to both nuzlocke and competitive, brute force aka only using attack moves will only get you so far.
I just recently started using non-damaging moves and it does help some
I had it more challenging by being all out offense only for a long time
Starts off game: Hi everyone, my name is FlygonHG and this is the video of my attempt of a hardcore nuzlocke of Pokémon X using only Fairy types.
Meets Prof. Sycamore: *Que bi panic*
Honestly though- Professor Sycamore really made the gay/bi kids quickly realize who they were lol, myself included
@@somerandomgoblin2583 I was just a young lad, and had no real concept of sexuality, but in retrospect holy SHIT Sycamore is hot.
Sycamore: breaks down the closet door
lol when you typed "que" I thought you were speaking spanish and got very confused for a hot second. the word you're looking for is cue, que means what in spanish
as much as i am a gay fucking loser myself we shouldnt make assumptions about a youtuber’s (who we do not know personally) sexuality. but i will be honest sycamore is quite a fine man so im sure he provokes those kinds of feelings in the hearts of many
This video saved the doom scroll everyone say thank you FlygonHG
thank you flygonhg
Thank you FlygonHG
dear god thank you FlygonHG!
Thank you Daddy Flygon 🤗
Thank you FlygonHG
As someone who does nuzlockes for fun, it’s infuriating to rely on rng because of its tendency to backfire. Keep being amazing, and toxic stall all you want because I’d totally do the same (if not abuse it more).
How is nobody talking about the fact that Lysander’s Pyroar flinched Flygon THREE times in a row
48:15
"Pixie uses nuzzle"
"Tyrantrum tries to reciprocate"
"Tyrantrum squishes Pixie"
Toxic stall and such strategies are perfectly fine. I rather watch someone play smart then dumb or cheat in certain ways
Edit: The champion battle was amazing
I think they are fine as long as you don't rely on it as soon as you get it. I think its more interesting to have a strategy that is sure risky but rewarding. I don't know i think toxic stalling is boring if used all the time when you don't need to
@@Venemofthe888 Fair point.
when you watch purplecliffe XDDDDDDD
@@Venemofthe888 I agree
Watching him use wish strats made me realize that he's... Living on a prayer!!!!
Thanks for the comments about toxic/pp stall, etc strategies. As someone who's played competitive singles and doubles, there's nothing wrong with using whatever strategies you have available, even if it means spending 2/3 of the match waiting to press protect just to timer stall
and like the video said, these challenge runs are about having fun. I find it more fun to not use setup moves since I find them pretty broken, but I'm not gonna gatekeep someone's run just cuz they swept every trainer with +6 dd if that's how they want to play the game
Aurora Beam has a chance of lowering the target’s Attack Stat by 1 Stage. Grant didn’t have bad AI, he just failed at slowing you down.
*O k*
I just like Kalos…..
@@crimsonpresents Kalos is a cool region but the camera in the games is a little strange
I legit loved the paper reenactment at the end, love the extra effort considering you probably could have just said what happened and people would likely be satisfied
Idk about anyone else, but I’d rather nuzlockers go for the more safe and reasonable play. Even through watching, seeing someone go for a super unnecessarily risky play stresses me out as if I was playing. Strategies like sub, toxic, etc show how limiting one type only runs are and also show the planning the runner went through to preserve the limited mons available. I say leave the high risk plays to smogon and vgc battles where they become necessary to win.
Same ngl, I really find it satisfying for a nuzlocker to do the safe option and win off it. Idk why people think stall is like illegal in runs or something
Same here, I also get pretty stressed when there’s some big risky play in nuzlockes. I much prefer the more safer option.
Aren’t nuzlockes supposed to stress you out? I find it entertaining when players are doing everything they can to keep their pokemon alive. But I do agree that monotype teams do get stale because of the repetitive strategies. The pokemon kinda lose identity in their own team because of it. Which is counterproductive ‘cause you’re supposed to get attached to your pokemon in a nuzlocke.
@@ing4gi I think the point I was trying to make was that monotype nuzlockes require much more meticulous planning (at least nuzlockes in vanilla games, emerald kaizo and company obviously have some intense planning). As a viewer, I watch these vids to see how the player will overcome the immense roadblocks set by monotype runs like solving a puzzle while scraping for whatever tools you can find. It makes sense nuzlockes will stress you out in some places, but my other point is that seeing someone take an unnecessarily risky play shakes me and kinda defeats the purpose of taking on this kind of challenge run. I guess this is more opinionated though as this is my preference when watching.
During that whole rant all I was thinking was toxic stall is cheesy sure but at least it’s not baton pass and then 2 minutes later baton pass. Honestly I don’t have a problem with those strats though, never going to say they arnt cheese bc the are but like he says it takes skill to set them up so it’s valid cheese.
Some viewers forget that you're nuzlocking because it's fun for YOU and not because of them. Keep using whatever strategies you deem most efficient, hater's gonna hate regardless but they're free to skip videos if they don't like players doing hardcore challenges efficiently. Your rendition of the champion battle was actually pretty funny, having an actual substitute plushie lying around too. :D
It's always cool to see how different UA-camrs approach these challenges, and always have different means to their ends. I can't wait to see how this run plays out!😁
Hi dude
@@FutbolFan10x7 Hey!😅
You like twig?
Darkraitv!!! Hey dude! I found your channel through Flygon. Happy to support both of y'all
Hey man nice coment but
I don't see anyone bug challenge in you channel🤨🤨🤨...soo
This means all you said is invalid😴😴🤧
When he started talking about selling points, I immediately thought he was going to say clothing. And I adored the champion fight! More interesting than the true footage ever would have been
This is only like the 4th video I've seen of this guy but I love how honest he is, People hating on him having fun is so stupid, he's so right about if you don't like it then don't watch it
I find the substitute/toxic stall/protect plays very interesting because it helps me learn how to play my own nuzlockes better! I'm attempting a hardcore nuzlocke in Sword rn and I have gambled on moves so much that I have a full box of deaths. So learning to be more strategic will be very helpful for me. Keep up the great work!
Alternative title: Dr. HG makes another Shakespeare rated piece of art
It is far more interesting to watch someone be outplayed rather than overpowered. Keep up whatever chipping/stalling tactics you want to use HG!
I just wanna say I love when you use strats like Toxic, Calm Mind and so on way more than just overwhelming with pure power or depending on luck every battle! Keep up the amazing work, most of your watchers love your playstyle :D
It's nice to hear someone say good things about x and y, I really think that it got a lot more hate than it deserved and compared to newer games you can still see that time and though was put into this game
You having fun while playing is way more enjoyable to watch than you winning without using toxic stall etc.! Keep up the good work and please don't forget that most of us watch you because of you and your commentary and not because of some crazy risky gameplay
Tbh I feel like the biggest difficulty in XY are some of the random trainers, especially in the early game. For whatever reason, the Gym Leaders are a cakewalk (except probably Grant on a first playthrough) and then there’s this random double battle with two headbutting Furfrou’s that can easily wipe you if you’re not prepped for it, especially since you likely don’t have an evolved Pokémon when you encounter them.
Idk about other people, but I think there is a difference between 'toxic stall for this battle' and 'can I beat pokemon by toxic in every battle?' I wanna watch something that I can't do/wouldn't think of doing.
Like when you took on Platinum E4 with an Infernape and Rapidash, feeding Infernape berries between battles to change his EVs? That was incredible.
36:50 honestly, I love those strategies. It shows how much you’re thinking, and using moves that ngl I wouldn’t normally use in casual playthroughs! I find it interesting, not boring, so you do you! Keep up the amazing work!
The Diantha battle was made so much better by the appearance of Sam Jackson. I was dying of laughter the entire time
I was practically cheering when he went on his rant about rng vs toxic stalling/any kind of stalling, fuck those people that expect his reliance on pure rng that can frankly ruin runs for all of us and make his life hell, play how you want to play
I lost it at the lighter ahaha this ending fight was done in a very charming way, technical difficulties happens to the best of us and we thank you for the effort you put in to make the final battle as entertaining as possible
Nice job! Kalos is so overlooked and overhated so it’s really nice to see you playing through the beautiful game with a very interesting typing.
The champion’s battle was the most beautiful piece of art I have ever experienced
Ayy Hollow Knight pfp
Yes Hollow Knight Good game
Good on ya for calling out those negative people. You play the game however you want Dr. Flygon. Thank you for taking us with you on your Pokemon journeys.
Edit: oh my god boat. Fairy. Ferry. Fuck off LMFAO that’s so good
Edit 2: the champion “battle” was actually so fun. Even though it wasn’t real game footage I actually think it was really enjoyable! Nice work.
I didn’t purposefully do a hardcore nuzlocke for my fairy-only playthrough of Sword, but I didn’t lose a Pokémon and I only caught the fairy types as I went. No items or anything either.
It was a lot of fun! I did get lucky since my first den of the game was a ralts and Gardevoir is my favorite Pokémon.
That’s pretty impressive, It took me 7 attempts to beat a Sword Hardcore Nuzlocke
@@AshenDust_ I think if I was catching the first encounter of every route, like not just fairy types, it would have been actually difficult. A lot of the encounters are really bad and some of the gyms are actually kinda spooky.
But fairies in Sw/Sh have absolutely nutty coverage and defensive capability so it was never a problem with em! Again though the first den I ever walked into was a ralts which was probably luckier than anything otherwise I would have had like… a cutiefly for the first hour or two LOL
I’ve been having a really shitty start of term, but when I see your notification I immediately feel a rush of happiness and calm because I know I’ll have a fun distraction even if only for a little while. Thanks Dr FlygonHG!!
Honestly, I relate
I dare to say that this champion battle was one of the best that I've had watched! This video was just the push that I needed to start my own Fairy type Nuzlocke challenge, still deciding between Pokemon Shield and Pokemon Y. Absolute love your videos!
I don't care what kind of strategies you use brother. You play through insanely hard runs and endure several resets most of the time for us which I honestly like to see, so I say beat them however you can! It's always wildly entertaining to me :)
I like how you play these games. The haters are the boring ones. You show different techniques and that’s rad.
enjoying the love for gen 6
The effort you put into that champion battle recreation was insane. I mean, what other nuzlocker would get Samuel L. Jackson to help them with their video?
I agree with your view on strategies like toxic stalls etc. As a casual player I actually enjoy watching you use those strats because I rarely use them in a casual playthrough.
Also that Champion fight was amazing haha 😂
Dude, dont even try to reason with these people that think stall is boring. They obviousley dont understand the nature of the challenge and just want dumb entertainment. Youre doing great and your videos are very fun to watch, keep doing what youre doing!
That puppeteering champion battle at the end was so great I’m low key holding out hope for a whole vid in that style lol never change HG much love
The Diantha battle might be the best thing you've done in this channel so far. Big props
Hell yeah! When you started popping off about people saying that you shouldn't use those types of strategies.....so inspiring! "You don't have to watch my videos if you don't like the way I play" Slay king! 😍 That whole exchange was so savage! It's really nice to see someone expressing thier honest opionion and playing the way they want, and telling other people that if they don't like it, then they can leave. Keep doing what you're doing, because for what it's worth, there are defintly a lot of people who genuinly enjoy you and what you do.
Between the mispronouncing of random words/names, the In Playy hate, and the final battle being a live action craft reenactment this was a very enjoyable watch.
It's easy to come up with monotype suggestions for X/Y Nuzlockes, and while I would love to see those, I'm also curious what we can come up with that _isn't_ one of those. My first thought was a Starterlocke, where you could only use the Kalos and Kanto starters, but that might be too difficult. (Then again, you did nearly beat Diamond with two Fire types, so it's probably not impossible.) Another idea that shouldn't be nearly as hard is to only use mons that can Mega Evolve. Whether you actually _let_ them Mega Evolve or not is up to you, but that could still be an interesting way to restrict your options.
I don’t imagine Dedenne is a very strategic Pokémon to have on your team (stat wise) but I absolutely adore it from the anime series 🙈❤️ especially when it wore the flower crown 😭
Well dedenne is a fast electric type with volt switch so that alone makes it a decent mon (especially on a challenge like this one where it’s the only one available)
Dedenne is cool in the anime, cool to have on your team, but terrible if one of the other CPUs in DynaMax Adventures gets it.
Entrainment Dedenne is Marvin's Solrock devil's child.
There are so many great videos Flygon puts up where I can get the nicknames even if I’m not familiar with the particular references, but this one. This one haunts me… someone grant peace
Hey Dr. Flygon! Congratulations on your PhD! Thats huge!
I just wanted to offer some encouragement to spite the naysayers: You make amazing videos, I really really enjoy them. You, almost exclusively, are the reason I started my first ever nuzlocke, hardcore even because I'm a masochist! I've yet to watch your video on Nuzlocke tips but I feel I've learnt so much just from watching you play.
I haven't played Pokémon since Hoenn was released, just being a casual consumer and Pokémon Go player. But you've created such fun videos that I wanted to give it a go,and I would not have got to Leon without having watched your videos. Learning how to pivot, set-up, use items strategically, stall, use status moves, the importance of natures, how to EV train, and more. It really opened my eyes to the fact that this game doesn't just have to be hyper offence and playstyles can be diverse and enjoyable.
Regardless of whether ypu use weather teams, stall, balance, hyper-offence, trick room or whatever, someone will always not vibe with the team and claim its a bad playstyle. I'm really sorry that people are coming out in droves to diminish the effort that you put into this videos. I think that sucks a lot. However, I want to be one of the players coming out in droves telling you how much of an inspiration you are, how entertaining, funny, emotional (RIP Paxap), silly, serious, and educational you are. It's really amazing work and you deserve congratulations for it.
I wiped on Leon's Intelon on my 5th attempt last week, but you taught me thats okay (plus I haven't played the DLC yet) so I've just carried on. I guess I just want to say thank you, because I never would have had so much fun playing a main series game if I had never found your channel.
So thank you, Doctor Flygon. Always, always, always play the way that brings a smile to your face ✨
The final battle somehow became better than it ever could have been!
This is vain but as an archi student, i am proud i remember history lessons enough to identify the kalos palace with the palace of versailles. It is such a chore to spell 😅
I appreciate you saying nice things about Kalos. I think X and Y get too much hate.
Normally I’m not emotional watching these videos, but the beauty in that cinematic and stunningly produced reenactment of the champion fight literally brought a tear to my eye 🥲 thank you Dr. Flygon
Best line I ever heard from someone: "Opinions are like assholes. Everyone has one, and you don't have to share yours on the internet." 😂😂😂😂😂
I honestly don't even watch your videos for the actual like video I watch them for your amazing commentary and voice. I normally listen to these types of videos when I'm laying down for sleep or playing pokemon myself so I'm not usually looking at the screen but I don't really need to because your so descriptive so even though I'm not actually watching I can listen and picture whats going on.
I normally watch your videos at least once usually when they just come out before just listening to it in the future.
It really pisses me off when people leave hateful or mean comments on videos that are both clearly well made and aren't like spam (those accounts that just pretty much ads) or clearly terrible quality because they took like 3 minutes to put together but they've posted it like 20 times.
I don't normally dislike videos (even before they became useless) and I don't leave hateful comments (except on this one channel about a stupid lighter ad that kept showing up in my shorts feed after repeated attempts to remove them from my feed) because everybody (for the most part) doesn't deserve to have their hardwork shit on like even if it's low quality I won't immediately just goto the comments and be like "f*** this s*** this is some low quality garbage" no because Idk whats going on in their life maybe they can't afford better equipment just yet but they are passionate about doing youtube.
Tl:Dr- don't be a dick you don't know how long it has taken the creator of the video to make the video. And what other factors there were that went into making it. *BE NICEEE* to people and remember *you have the choice to watch what your watching* if you don't like something there are billions of other videos out there on this app alone that I've sure you will enjoy
And in case it wasn't clear thank you so much flygonhg and honestly other creators like you ❤ love the recreation of the final fight and as I've said previously your descriptions are amazing so thank you for helping me get through many a sleepless nights with your videos
Yeah well I'm tired of good people getting hate when they shouldn't. I tried doing youtube Its really a lot harder than people think between editing and commentary and the tons of other things that go into one single video. So I have a lot of respect for people like you that clearly have put tons of effort and love into their videos. And I don't know for sure but it seems like you do everything by yourself the recording the editing everything which is just mind blowing because all your videos are all so great and high quality.
So like I said love what you do and keep up the great work! ❤
I’m about to replay pokemon x for the first time in many years. My first playthrough ended when I couldn’t defeat the elite four so I’m excited to try it again. This video got me even more pumped up for my playthrough :D
what a nice piece of editing @19:17, just binging this at work and that caught my eye
It kills me how he consistently calls it “In Play-E” any time he’s referring to Mr Mime 😂
the fact he says lapras 'lap-rah' because thats the french way but doesnt say vivillon 'viv-ee-on' makes zero sense. ITS LITERALLY THE FRENCH REGION!

"professor sexymore" man just voiced my entire feelings about Sycamore
WE DON'T USE THE WORD SEXY IN POKEMON!
Hello Flygon, Just want to say, I agree with everything you said about toxic stall and Set up sweeping. They are legitimate strategies, used in even competitive setting as well. While I am not completely happy with them, I understand, if someone is using it, then they probably have no other way around it. I felt real bad for you needing to reset so many times on Grass only hoenn, and loosing to champion on water types. But I do want point out that people in comments are not responsible for someone using saved states and cheating to get a better video, that is a choice the content creator made it himself. I understand that the toxic comments can fuel negativity, but I dont agree with you saying that is the reason some one cheats. Just putting my two cents, loved the video.
Lol im glad im not the only one that thought the professor in kalos was fine as hell

You put so much thought into the writing/narration for these runs, honestly some of the funniest and most clever nuzlocke/challenge videos I've seen. Keep doing you dude!👏
I know you probably won't see this (because it is two months late), but I have been watching your videos for a few days.
Your toxic stall rant is what made me hit the subscribe button. Keep making great videos. :)
Really love your nuzlocke challenges!!! Can you try beating any pokemon game using nonfully evolved pokemon? or can you try beating pokemon platinum using nondamaging moves (status, weather, curse etc.)?
He tried the baby pokemon only already and it was streamed at twitch
I almost woke the whole house LAUGHING at the live action remake of the final fight. I thought it was going to be some Paint stick figures or something, not this! Incredible. This was so great. The best end to any Nuzlocke video I've ever seen.
Dr. Flygon over here is very smart, wish stalling though it’s boring to watch, is very effective and if you have ever done a nuzlocke you know that when your favorite jolteon dies it hurts you more than a knife ever could, obviously haven’t experienced anything like that, I’m not crying!
Dude, that final battle was fantastic, you should do more of that in the future
As someone who plays all the Pokémon games and thinks they’re too easy, watching the level of research and strategy you have to do just to beat the game in one of these hardcore nuzlock videos gets you mad respect from me. Haters gonna hate but keep it up I love your videos
Don't ever sacrifice your fun for more views. Even though you used "safe" strats throughout this video, it has earned you a new subscriber. I actually think "safe" strats are more entertaining since it shows off game knowledge I frequently lack and doesn't put me through the emotional wringer of watching something with a cute name and design die and be banished to the box. I love watching your content, mostly because I appreciate the adorable themed nicknames you make and the general love you have for the games and the mons that makes your videos just feel. . . cozy. Thanks for doing this kind of stuff.
I don't know what power is here but I just hatched two shiny Golett's the span of this video
Nice
*WE DON'T USE APOSTROPHES IN PLURALS! WHAT PART OF THAT IS ANYONE NOT UNDERSTANDING?*
@@Amelia4111 All your recent comments on this channel is screaming about grammatical errors and I respect the grind
@@KixCamelotMain My friend, she also replying on ( JackXcp YT) video comments to correcting spelling mistake.😔
@@yommytaaky9946 the grind resumes
Loved the video! I'm definitely glad you took the time for the reenactment. It's upsetting that you are getting negative comments on your strategies; I think it's amazing you do your runs and are committed to completely starting over if you white out. Hopefully, the negative comments die down. I always enjoy watching your stuff!
I think the utility move stats are great. Before I started watching UA-camr pokemon plays I just used hard hitting attack moves and buffed my team by over levelling. The utility strategies helped me see that you can be more tactical in your play. With utility moves I just beat the Pokemon Silver Elite Four ten levels under
That triple flinch against pyroar xD
GG love this vids keep it up
Far be it for anyone but yourself to decide how to play your games. I'm just grateful you tend to skip/FF the stuff you talk about people complaining about. I always figured these games take a while on their own, let alone playing strictly a certain, often very limiting way, and then (I presume) editing the footage into a video and uploading it. so never mind they naysayers, man. It really isn't their issue to deal with.
How dare you disrespect my boy, Chespin
WE DO NOT REFER TO POKEMON AS A BOY OR A GIRL! STOP THAT!
@@Amelia4111 jesus, calm down
You should give yourself more creative freedom in these videos, your edits are great and the champion battle was so funny
I have very fond memories of using Florges. Shortly after ORAS came out, but before I got the games, I went to a small comic-con near me. I battled a couple guys in X and Y, and when I sent out my Florges they had absolutely no idea what on earth they were looking at. She was able to sweep them, and I didn't tell them until we were done battling that Florges is a fairy type. Good times... I'm not much of a competitive battler (I prefer shiny hunting) but I love Florges because of that.
hay can i just thank you for not just saying you falt out hate these games unlike everyone else im a gen 6 baby so you can only imgen how it feals hearing people rant about my childhood your one of the only people who hasnt just falt out hated gen 6 thank you it made my day 😀
I think this is the first video I've ever seen of yours and I this video, you have a very nice voice and the way you commentate about the gameplay is really quite nice
pokemon X was my favorite pokémon game and probably still is because of nostalgia, you're making me want to play through it again 😭
Can I ask whats the naming theme please?
There is none
I was expecting a nuzlocke, yes.
But a gen 6 nuzlocke? That’s weird.
Pokémon X is my favorite game!
@@jerryakatony5724 While I do think that these game are enjoyable, I have some issues with them. Difficulty aside, you only face THREE MEGA EVOLUTIONS DURING THE MAIN STORY. Mega Lucario, which is a mirror match, Mega Gyrados during the last battle against Lysander and Mega Gardevoir on the champion battle.
And there’s also the history, seriously, AZ is possibly ( and arguably ) the most interesting character in Pokémon, but only serves to use exposition about the great pokemon war.
@@Dreamyzas I agree with all that, but I heard (I don’t remember where) that the X&Y games were planned to have more stuff, but they just didn’t have the time due to release schedules (like how this was the first time the games were released at the same time around the world and because the anime release, the card release, and other factors).
@@jerryakatony5724 This is a situation that is, for me at least, similar to DPP.
They launched a game that is very buggy and rushed, the fans complain, and they end up releasing a third version that is essentially a apology card. In this case, they just didn’t make the third version, launching the Hoenn remakes and the Alola games instead.
@@Dreamyzas Yeah. This is one of the reasons that I’m excited for when we get X remakes in a few years.
Honestly, I think stalling strategies are perfectly fine for nuzlockes
As long as its not used in competitive pokemon its perfectly fair game

Loving the live action Pokemon segment. It really shows your dedication and l the effort you put in to making a single video. You've earned my sub. Great content!
i always watch your vids like, I enjoy watching your gameplays, but once I've finished it I usually listen to them like as a podcast while I study bc your voice is like so soft and the way you talk is so cool
I actually love the strategies you use to keep your team alive. My own strategy in Pokémon games comes down to 'be ridiculously overleveled and only use STAB and super-effective moves wherever possible'. I basically never use setup moves because I'm really not very good at the games and despite playing them for most of my life ever since Red when I was about nine, I never really got better either. Seeing someone who actually knows what he's doing is really interesting to me.
