Once you learn to pray from the heart your prayers are almost always answered. The saints did it and it's the quickest way to holiness.

I would advise Everyone to Pray for "the Fathers Will". For your life! Just as Jesus Did and Said! You can pray for what you want..All you want..But I guarantee..it will not be for your Good..Unless it is Gods Will! we are Here..To Do Gods Will ..Not our own! Hard lesson learned!

"And WHO is the Samaritan? He is Jesus."
Amazing. Heard this parable for decades as virtually everyone has by now, and I literally NEVER thought of this parable that way! And yet it makes perfect sense! The Samaritans were practitioners of the Jewish religion yet had pagan elements in their religion and thus were seen as outside the main boundaries of Israel, yet Christ came to be the bridge between the Jews and the Gentilles and in a strange way the Samaritans were that bridge in a sense. So Jesus being the Samaritan in this parable makes perfect sense!

For 12 years now I have been wanting to be the first ever consecrated virgin who's also a hermit following the Passionist rule, a "Passionist consecrated hermitess." But it's never been done before, and I may have to wait 9 more years.... that would make it a total of 21 years of waiting, and I'm 21 years old right now. I ask all of Heaven to allow me to fulfill my vow.

Nikita Audio How bad do you really want it? Do you really know what you are asking for?? and Do you want it for YOU? Or for God alone? Yes! pray and also work!....divest yourself of worldly passions like Disney ..for such a heroic goal you need to be for God alone...self mortifications! that would be very helpful in your pursuit. Listen to the words of St Gemma:
“Can You see that as soon as the day breaks I think of You? As evening comes, I am near You. I am near You at every moment. I love You, Jesus! “...
She was for God alone!...every moment! BUT remember she also totally trusted in Jesus to help her, so do not be intimidated by this, but rise to learn from her! I pray for you to have the courage to do that. It might take that long for you to be purified of “worldly attachments”. The Disney obsession could be part of the problem (spiritually). But you have to be patient with yourself and God who will give you the grace if you ask Him (in a state of GRACE), and then show him you mean it. Instead of Disney, use that time to read The Dialogues of St Catherine of Siena. Strive to imitate the saints! read read read (after you pray pray pray). Get a Spiritual Director (A trustworthy priest hopefully a Passionist, who will challenge you with gentleness. God bless your good and holy desires!

I love Saint Gemma, she's my role model. I used to be attached to Disney but I haven't been in over a year and a half, I've become more minimal and have detached myself of a lot. All I read now are spiritual books, hardly anything else. I do have a spiritual director and a bishop helping me. I've gotten in touch with the Untied States Association of Consecrated Virgins, so that's a step! Thank you for your advice. God bless you!

This was an unsatisfactory answer to the question of unanswered prayer. It's just a few loosely connected ideas that don't lead to a logical conclusion. I think it's worth considering the possibility that "whatever you ask in my name" is a promise made only to the apostles.

Question for the priest: At Mass, I have been keeping an eye out for the two bookends described between 10:04 and 11:04 of this video, but so far no priest has said those words, so it's not clear when exactly we can most effectively offer up prayer in Jesus' Name, and this is vitally important ... could you please do another video to further clarify this important point Father? Or perhaps just respond to me here if you think that will suffice?
    Thank you. 🕆📿

From my memory, (during Novus Ordo Mass) it's when the Priest holds up the Holy Eucharist~ before he breaks it. Its before the Priest holds Jesus up the last time and says in the words of St John the Baptist "behold the Lamn of God, behold Him who takes away the sins or the world" and then the Prrist says "blessed are they who are called to the Supper of the Lamb".

For those of you who come here and do nothing but complain, condone, condemn and criticize, this is what I can let you know: Every act is an act of self definition and so is every thought and every word is a thought and a word of self-definition. Everything you think, say and do declares, "This Is Who I Am." You are in the thought, in the word and in the act of defining yourself right now.
The human race has no chance to lift itself from its own lowest thoughts until you lift yourself to your own highest ideas.
What a great world this would be if people would spend as much energy creating as they spend reacting.

If there is no prayer that Jesus prays where God says No, what was the prayer in the garden of Gethsemane? As fully man, Jesus begged that this cup pass from Him. However, as perfect man, he also prayed, not my will, but Thy will be done. He showed us by example what to do when God days No. Even holy people desire things that are not God's will. That doesn't mean they're asking for bad things, just that in their human weakness, they cannot see the greater good God has planned for them. In His prayer in Gethsemane Jesus showed us how to pray when our desires do not align with God's will. We can still pray for them, but when He makes His will clear, to accept it with everything we have and are.

If God gave us: gimme, gimme, gimme: for a start the Hospitals would be empty, I would not have cancer, and people 1000's of years old would be walking around. Are we asking for the wrong things? I can only ask for help to carry my appointed cross and say Lord, Thy Will be done. We have not got a lasting kingdom here, only hereafter.

Dont fall into despair. Let this be a way God helps you to grow in your love and trust in Him, regardless of the outcome. Put whatever you need in His Hands, and leave it to His discretion, remember that if God chooses to grant or not grant a prayer request it is for a reason. And when He chooses to grant it, that is also for a reason. Trust in Him. Pray to God to help you grow more in trust in Him~ and let this experience teach you how to become more like Christ~ growing in trust and persistence.
I'm speaking from experience, God has worked miracles in my life, there have been some prayers He has granted and some He has still yet to. But for a long time I did not trust Him becuase I wanted them done asap, I had to pray "Jesus I trust in You" multiple times a day for over a year till I got to the level of trust I have in God now, and this is entirely due to Him.
~Oh Blood and Water, which gushed forth from the Heart of Jesus as a fount of Mercy for us, I trust in You~💕
