I've been so very disturbed after hearing this sermon. When you spoke of the Sister in Florence who was so embarrassed by her sin she didn't confess and became the Reverend Mother of the convent and did many holy prayers and exercises otherwise and still went to hell and told the sisters' after death to stop praying for her it was so discouraging. I would have thought she would have gone to purgatory at least. What hope does ANY of us have if such a holy woman went to hell??? Her many prayers and mortification were to no avail and God showed no mercy to her? There must be only a handful of people actually in heaven. None of us can come up to that kind of scrutiny, especially not me. I feel hopeless. I have to be damned. What use is it to even try?
Hi I'm Awake!....She was not damned because of the sin she originally committed but because she hid it in the confessional - to do that is a mortal sin....Basically, she left the confessional, on that and all subsequent occasions, with more sin on her soul than when she first walked in......We can go to confession and beg Gods mercy and forgiveness for ANY and EVERY sin we have commited, remember He said "Even if their sins are scarlet" but what we must never do, EVER, is only confess some of our sins and hide others. If we do that, then we walk out of the confessional with more sin upon our soul than when we walked in. God Bless You.

I agree this story is disturbing. I don’t understand how it can be. I pray that you are still encouraged nonetheless, and that we each learn to repent truthfully so that we can have true forgiveness and salvation. I pray that you still have hope and faith. Now having heard this story, I pray these things for all who seek God’s mercy. God bless.
Not even sure if it is possible for damned to communicate a advice to the living. Fallen angels tempt people, acting in realm of imagination and emotion but humans in hell don’t communicate with us, I don’t think.
That is a temptation from the devil. The divine rule is explicit. Mortal sin doesn’t get you to heaven. Never lose hope. The nun didn’t repent for that sin all her adult life. She sealed her soul’s fate. The point is repent now, not at the last moment of life, but now. Show God that you want to be with Him now. He will not forsake you at your last moment. Trust in God.
Your sins are forgiven in the confessional if you simply forgot them. If you remember them you should go and confess them even though they're forgiven. But if you conceal them then they cannot be forgiven.
Scared me also. But necessary.
We need to speak out against bishops and priests who preach falsehood and heresy.
And now???????

Please pray for this priest! Excellent. However, we need to speak out if clergy are preaching heresy or apostasy: especially if it be from the top of the hierarchy.
What's the heresy here? That mortal sin will send you to hell?

You do not see what God sees in that soul. The nun chose damnation rather than repent of/confess her sin; that’s pride right there, the sin of the devil. God did not push her to hell; she jumped right in.
