I promise you my neighbor, if you have our father Jesus Christ near to your heart, nothing, and no demon, can ever touch your life successfully. You say you love jesus, do you love him enough to not hurt yourself ? Because I'm pretty sure I can say that he does not want that for you. I have suffered with severe depression my entire life and I am 47 years old. It wasn't until I finally just gave those issues to my good Lord that I was able to find peace in the troubles of today. It was the time when my son entered as postulant in this monastery of the Benedictines. It is a heavenly experience. The place is so peaceful and full of natures beauty. Grew up in the 60’s, attended Catholic Elementary School. As School children we learned the Latin Music for the Requiem Masses & were dismissed from class to walk over to the church for any funerals. We loved doing that because even as very young children we thought the music was so beautiful. Really miss those days. 😢

If you are aware that your Baptism is sacramentally Catholic then you are not aware you are Catholic. This is funny because those protestants sacramentally baptized in Catholic Rite are nominally Catholic. If the baptizer used the correct rite then one is Catholic with out knowing it.

I loved the Latin mass and these lovely tunes. Catholics of every nationality could celebrate the mass in this universal language.
I think, when we're passing through an illness, is not only Our Father wanting our purification but is also Jesus giving us the privilege to take just a little drop of His sorrowful Passion and be so close to Him with it. I offer Jesus Christ every day of these 2 cancers I'm fighting again, for the sake of my sins and the sins of the world. "Dear Jesus, take my sickness and my battered body, for the forgiveness of my sins and the sins of the world that reviles you so much"

Hi Sara, I pray for your healing! God definitely heals... I still didn't finish my journey but doctors said the chemo wouldn't work as expected but we should still try. I prayed to God and guess what? The tumor was gone before even I completed the chemo routine. Doctors were also surprised but pleased:)
I think exactly like you. I was distant to God before. With this illness, God pulled me closer and saved me from even greater sorrows. I am grateful for everything God has given. God bless you.
