My cousin received the protection from Our Blessed Mother Mary. He wears a brown scapular. They encountered a motorcycle accident wherein he thought he could have died. What he did was he took the Brown scapular and pressed it in between his lips. He just felt someone took him and place him on the safe side of the road. It was a miracle he only had few bruises while the others where taken to the hospital with broken bones. God will never abandon a soul who clings to His Mercy!!!
I've been wearing a scapular for several years now. Only 1 or 2 years ago I got it blessed by a priest. Also I've given a few scapulars away as gifts. But this past Thursday, I went to confession, then mass, received communion, and finally got officially enrolled in the confraternity of the brown scapular, even by an Opus Dei priest. I can tell you I feel different then I did before. I also prayed the rosary every day since then and will try to keep doing it always.
It really is like our Lady said, the scapular and the rosary are our weapons for these times. I would recommend this to everybody. What powerful gifts from heaven. God bless you all.

Amen, I was doubtful at first, but quickly God helped me believe. I no longer doubt. There are many miracles Our Blessed Mother has given through The Brown Scapular and anything Mama Mary has given has been wonderful!✝️🕊❤️

I was a pretty debauched hopeless sinner then our Lord gave me graces after much prayer and repentance. Reflecting and listening to the sermons on the reality and The fires of hell really helped me get my act together. The fires of hell got me to stop but the joyous reality of our God sustained me after.
There is only way to get help.

Once, while I was in a rage, using many foul words, the crucifix medal of my brown scapular fell off onto the floor. I instantly picked it up, kissed it, and promptly reattached it. As I was doing so, in my heart I felt regret, sadness, embarrassment, and got my anger/temper quieted. I realized I was being listened to and spoken to from this happening.
So comforting to hear details about brown scapular. Praise God Father for His Son Priests, where would we be. Praise, praise, praise forever.

Hello, I have a question. But first, I am a devoted Catholic, and I was invested in the brown scapular this past July, on the feast of O.L of Mt. Carmel, and I am so grateful. I appreciate this homily and many others I have listened to on the brown scapular.
I believe in the promises Mary has given us who wear the scapular with dedicated faith and devotion. But I want to ask what we can say to the protestants who may be put off by such promises made by Mary to wearers as to "guarantee their salvation".
If I were a protestant hearing this I would probably be scandalized by the notion that Mary in her promises claims to guarantee salvation, when surely it is only Jesus who does so. Please help me break this down for a better, less controversial understanding for our protestant neighbors who, no doubt, would think only the worst about the scapular and such promises. Thanks!
Jeanie DeCoster I wouldn't compromise with the truth. Tell them the facts; Tell them what Our Blessed Mother said. If they don't accept the truth it is not your concern. Protestants are confused as they do not have the Holy Eucharist, they do not have Jesus himself. Pray the Holy Rosary for them. It is the miracle prayer.God Bless
You are right. Thanks! Prayer is the key. And the Eucharist, as you say. And it's not at all that I would ever compromise the truth. Rather, I just want to know a way to explain it that doesn't make someone jump to the conclusion that we are saying "Mary saves" when what we are really saying is "Jesus saves" and "Mary intercedes."
I pray that Protestants would know Mary. She brought me back to the Eucharist. And I am devoted to her with gratitude.
TBH they will not agree no matter what you tell them. They are programmed by Luther to hate our mother. He himself hated our mother and the rosary. I suggest that you use Matt 9 v 20-21 The hem of the garment worn by our Lord is a sacramental it works proportional to the faith of the believer notice that she doesn't ask but her faith is rewarded

What are the requirements for the scapular? I know it has to be brown and wool. does it need a picture of Mary, or will the ones with a stitched picture of a cross only suffice?
Look up on internet the official brown scapular of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel. It must have the promise of Our Lady of Mount Carmel for souls wearing the brown wool scapular shall not suffer eternal fire, and the other "tab" portion should have a picture of Our Lady handing the scapular to St Simon that says, " Behold the sign of Salvation; O. L. of Mt. Carmel". Also, 2 medals attached: the St Benedict medal and the crucifix medal. New wool scapulars can be itchy, but I have found they soften from constant wear and constant bathing with them. I keep transferring the 2 medals onto new scapulars when my old one is near to breaking/coming apart. Always have extras on hand too.

Yes, those are the only times it is acceptable. Pope John Paul refused removal of his after getting shot while in hospital. Removing the scapular to Him He is now blessed thus the caps) was removing Her protection under Her mantle.

I do so and put it on immediately afterwards. I for a few nights would take it off to sleep, as I wear a St Benedict medallion, then a separate necklace with the crucifix and a Mary medallion... they get knotted up, but then my stroke happened while I slept, so now, it remains on... only bathing does it come off.
I take mine off to bathe, but as I am removing it, I am praying to my Guardian Angel to protect my while I bathe, thank him, and tell him I love him. Once, I began to slip in the tub, but immediately thanked my Guardian Angel for catching me. I keep my brown scapular in the bathroom with me whilst bathing. And, if I dropped my brown scapular on the floor, I instantly pick it up, apologize to Christ & Our Lady, and kiss it & the attached medals, and put it back on right then and there.

I called my priests of the monastery here in Boise and told them I needed my scapular enrolled, and so they had me come in, there were prayers and then a special prayer that enrolls the scapular.
@@lindseytran2002 Sadly, several priests have no idea, and that's a fail on the upper hierarchy. That Vatican 2 nonsense messed things up I believe, and I'm just over a year old Catholic. We must always be searching and learning our faith. And praying for our priests, cuz the devil has them in continual sights to pick off.
Some important Carmelites (doctors of the Church I do believe) have said that God trumps heaven in terms of hierarchy of priorities, but hey

Because the evil one has successfully pulled many away from their faith which was largely due to diabolically corrupt priests that were not removed from their duties. Then covid happened and many Bishops allowed churches to be closed and not deemed essential. One could go to family dollar but not get baptized, receive communion, Holy Eucharist and other sacraments. Our Holy Mother Church is going through it's passion as told through the seers at Fatima. The smoke of satan has entered our church. But "Fear not, for I am always with you." God bless!
I don't think they're aware of what it is, what it can do, and the promises made of it by the Blessed Mother of God. As a new Catholic, I notice a lot of things life time Catholics seem unaware of. Like at a talk on the Divine Mercy image, when the presenter asked "where" we are during Mass, and a room full couldn't say, I said "Cavalry"... we are at the foot of the cross during mass. That should be known before they're out of Catholic school!

In looking at your question (why saints. Why mother of God). The BVM is the mother of the person Jesus Christ and He has 2 natures he is 100%(God and man) therefore she is the mother of God. If you check the book of Revelations chapter 8 v3 and 4 you will find the prayer of saints carried as incense before the presence of God by His Angels
The Catholic Church teachings don't involve worship of saints Peter or Paul or any saints or angels either. It is only the Blessed Trinity that is worshipped in the Catholic Church

Sorry to hear that you left the Church because you read the Bible, which the Church itself wrote, compiled, and gave us. Salvation is a free gift from God, but we get this salvation by believing the Gospel, repenting of our sin and turning to God, baptism, and the Sacraments. The Church does not teach salvation through works, as you seem to indicate. The book of James teaches that salvation is NOT through faith alone. I think that if you truly knew your Catholic faith, you would never have left it to become a Protestant. Why follow a "church" that is only a few hundred years old that was started by a mere man, when you can follow the Church that Jesus Christ Himself gave us?
What church goes back further? The Bible only speaks of ONE Church. That one that Jesus started when He called St. Peter the Rock and gave him the keys to Heaven and stated that "whoever's sins you forgive are forgiven, and whoever's sins you retain are retained." I know of no other Church founded on Jesus, except the Catholic Church, outside of which, none can hope to find salvation.
